From my understanding, the masters have a say in whether someone gets expelled or not. Since Walin was the only player master...and is confirmed to have been a skindancer, anyone expelled by the masters is slightly more likely to be village.

I'd say it's at least slightly more likely that CadCom and STINK (and myself of course) are village at least.

I've been pretty clear most of the game that I've been struggling to fully keep up with everything. I'm trying to grab bits and pieces of useful information as I go along. That was almost my first thought...poke voting term 4 seems...unproductive? If it's just to get better tuition, fine by me...but I'm not sure what you're hoping to gain. I guess I responded, so there's that.

Unless I'm missing something, your EP calculations aren't necessarily...necessary... My second elevation was in a field I only had one EP in. So, you could potentially just get the 15 EP in a field you aren't actually elevated in... I'm a bit tired to figure out the math for it...but it seems like it definitely could be possible.

Like I said, may have just been something in the wording. No one wants to be lynched of course (I can think of some minor exceptions as an elim...) but the verbiage "attempting to avoid suspicion" just kind of rubs me a bit the wrong way.

Ummm, Coda...this seems like an odd statement. Maybe it's just some rough wording, but I've never thought of 'avoiding suspicion' as a villager goal.

Yeah, yeah, yeah...my general thoughts on the game so far: "holy crap there's a lot going on" and "I'm definitely glad I'm at least a commoner so I at least have a bit of cash available to me...but it's a bit of a balancing act for sure when it comes to keeping active in the university and being able to live in someplace not awful." In general, I'm trying to keep up with everything, but it seems that even people who are getting a lot more posts in are struggling to get reads on people. I do tend to agree with the general consensus (I guess I'm not sure it's reached 'general consensus' status...but there have been a few comments at least) that we need to start actually using the lynch as a lynch. It's going to be really flipping hard to identify elims if we don't start actually hunting them.

Dang I'm having a tough time getting through all this. I'll put a complaint on Walin today for partying all night. Where did this candy thing come up? I don't think I have any candy...

Sorry for the relative inactivity this cycle. Had an unexpected amount of work pile up on me the past couple days. ~~ Oh wow, heck of a lot to catch up on. Trying to get a feel for this action spreadsheet first off. (Whew, just read through Elbereth's post on page 3...very helpful, thanks!) Other than that, was concerned when I first got my 'commoner' designation. Glad to see it isn't as bad as I expected it to be. This game definitely has a fun way to encourage activity. I guess I'll throw a complaint at xino here.

Regarding shanerocks, that could be a good village indicator - a significant change elim.shanerockes. Technically, I had two posts before this one...One C1 and one today.

Hey folks, sorry for the inactivity. I had a post typed up like 5 times yesterday before getting a call from someone that needed to be addressed. Anyway, yes, there seems to be a general lack of activity so far. Experience, you do seem rather flighty so far. Not hedgy, flighty. DeTess, you're doing DeTess things... I really don't have a strong opinion on anyone so far, but we definitely need to get a bump in activity going.

Definitely some things I didn't notice in my initial read-through either. I really don't like the idea of secret votes from everyone, but I guess we'll have to deal with that. I would very much prefer that people voice their suspicions in thread so that we can actually see lynch trains form. I understand that people can easily lie, but it sounds like we'll have a chance to audit that after the fact.

Wow, what a great game. Getting notified that I was switching sides after N2 was definitely interesting. When Alvron mentioned to me that my actions on D3? had won me the game, I had to look back to see which side I was on at that point...haha. To my fellow elims, Venture, didn't get to work with you for very long...Elandera, sorry I had to bus you so soon after joining, but it got us the game eventually? shanerocks, unfortunate end for you, you played a great game though. Zillah, Coda, Alvron, Abstrusity, wow...what a tense ending. Honestly, Coda, I think if you'd been on the side of convincing Zillah to mention who was getting role blocked, I would have lost. I'm at least mildly certain that was a factor in Alvron siding with me. You could have had a confirmed villager with the night kill/arrest occurring. Honestly, the biggest thing I was concerned with at that point in the game was whether I was too quick in changing from supporting Coda to supporting Alvron. My logic was fairly sound, but it had to have been what got Coda onto me. Lastly, magnificent write-ups from DeTess. I enjoyed every one. Hope to see everyone again next game!

@DeTess - I think we're set.

Abstrusity! Well played. You have kept me fooled for this long! Alas! No longer!

As far as I know, no... Don't think there are any PMs for Zillah to have passed on that information to anyone outside thread, but nothing definite in thread.
-
As I mentioned, if we'd gotten a target from Zillah, we'd be able to clear someone now... Coda
-
I'm not as concerned about this, but I wouldn't say that 'Alv and Rath seem pretty chummy'...first off, Alv hasn't even been in thread for quite some time...and I basically just pulled my suspicions off him and onto you...which then effectively turned your response from, "Rath is the best to block because if he's the elim and we don't stop him, he can win with vote manipulation" to "Rath is the elim!!!" To your other point here, I do agree, if I were the elim, this would be a decent pocket strategy though. Not much I can say in response to that. Again, we gain no value out of this. IN FACT, I think we lose information because of this. As I mentioned previously, if I were the elim, Zillah would be my priority kill at this point. (Followed by either me or Alv due to vote manipulation). So, if Zillah doesn't reveal who is roleblocked, and guesses wrong, then we lose the information of who gets cleared. And the elim gains nothing from knowing who is roleblocked. (Details above) I agree...but Abstrusity hasn't really done anything else throughout the game to give me pause. Then again, the thread today has kind of turned a bit into Rath vs Coda...which would be a great time to sit out and eat some popcorn.

First off, I agree that I'm probably the best candidate to role-block tonight. Next, I'm assuming it doesn't matter whether or not the elim knows who is blocked or not. Most of the time the only response you get is 'you successfully blocked <player name>' regardless of whether the person took an action or not. Take the Elandera lynch, for example, Young Bard wasn't able to say, "we roleblocked Elandera and were able to confirm that we blocked her from submitting the kill"...it was, "we roleblocked Elandera, there wasn't a kill, so we think she should be considered for the lynch." So, basically, the elim is going to submit the kill or not, it doesn't really matter whether we know who is roleblocked. If the elim is the one role-blocked, he or she is going to try to pawn it off on someone else being the elim and trying to frame them. (honestly, I'd think it's worth lynching that person regardless) If the elim is not role-blocked and they don't submit the kill, they're going to be able to get a free mislynch on whomever was role-blocked. If the elim is not role-blocked and they do submit the kill, then we're business as usual. Honestly, between yesterday's comments and today's, I'm really starting to move into Alvron's camp of Coda being the likely remaining elim. We've seen the following: Making assertions that he can't be the elim based on Elkanah's thoughts with no proof, hoping that everyone would just take that as proof since Elkanah flipped village. My logic yesterday regarding Alvron was a bit faulty...if Alvron IS the vote manipulator (seems kind of likely at this point) then he took care of shanerocks with vote manipulation when it wasn't just self-preservation...that would be a pretty huge bus action. The late vote change from Alvron to xino by Coda seems like a decent pocketing attempt. Honestly, this is the first time I've thought I had a solid lead on an elim all game. (Other than Elandera, but that was all Bard's doing)
-
So, we should probably start consolidating votes at this point. Current vote count. Zillah (0) - Coda Alvron (2) - Zillah, Coda xino (1) - Rath Coda (1) - Alvron (OK, votes aren't too far spread out...xino and Abstrusity haven't voted and I'm the only non-Alvron player to not vote on Alvron currently.) As such, I'll go ahead and move my vote over. I will say, Coda's comments today have some alarm bells ringing in my head...I was kind of going along with the 'it must be one of xino, Zillah, or Alvron' comment, but looking back at Elkanah's post, that was a fairly strong assertion, but it didn't seem like he had anything to back it up. I may have just been willing to believe it since I was on the nice list, and Elkanah flipped village. In the meantime, I'll go ahead and swap over to Alvron xino. Not sure who has the other vote manipulation, but if it's Alv and it's Alv.elim, then we don't have a solid lynch if I don't do this.

So, I've been thinking about why I haven't been killed yet. And there are two distinct possibilities that I think are worth considering. I'm so far off the rails on my suspicions of who the remaining elim(s) is/are that the elim team is just sitting there laughing at me. The elim team is more concerned about other roles. Regarding number 2, since I think that's the easier of the two for me to think through, if I were the elim team, especially if there was only one of me remaining, there are other roles I'd find more threatening. Specifically, the Involuntary Holidays (IH) subset I'd find as an extremely concerning role. If they happen to target me through random chance, I'm kind of hosed. (I'd also consider setting up a good IKYK situation by not submitting a kill one night in order to get whomever was targeted by IH in the crosshairs...that would be fun) So, basically, I'm tempted to ask to reorder our lynches to xino > Alvron > Zillah instead of Zillah first. Now, on the flip side, IH seems a perfectly plausible subset to include an elim...but that's very faulty logic...just would be fun flavor-wise. Anyway, I'm going to put my vote on xino. I'm unsure whether to use my vote manipulation to assist in this...if it's a close vote, I probably will. *Zillah ninja here* Edit: yes, I know that the 'ninja comment' when Zillah's post was an hour before mine is a bit odd...had this sitting typed up when I left for lunch and thought I had sent it...haha
