    I doubt Fleet was real. I think he was just a metaphor to tell Kaladin to keep going and not give up. But to be honest, I’d love it if Fleet was real.

    I honestly think that Hoid had a special someone earlier, and is trying to find a way to pull her from the Beyond. It fits well in context, and this “place” Hoid has heard about could be the Spiritual Realm. Maybe she died during or the shattering, causing Hoid to refuse the shard he was offered.
