That was after he got persuaded by Lift that he had failed. Before he didn't feel anything, even addmited it to Lift just pages earier. During the battle with Dalinar's forces, he flew to Dalinar's platform and was without a plate. He got an arrow in the face from Cord. So plate would be very useful here.

That looks far better and checks out with Miles. So yes, I have no further complaints. AoL ch 6, the ballroom fight. Wayne was fighting with a bandit, got shot in the guts, started pretending to be dead by dropping the bubble, that bandit stayed above him, Wax noticed, steel pushed to them, killed that bandit with 6 bullets, and Wayne creates a bubble around them, and started healing his wound only then. Yes, perpendicularity is possible. Any large amounts of investiture in small space will create perpendicularity

Fullborn V.S. 5th Ideal Windrunners

Brandon said that investiture is used to compress the rest of it. So it's doing some work, energy is required. I don't know enough about the medical aspects of bone fracture, but I suspect that bones after fall break very fast, so if he can heal it as they are breaking, that requires a lot of compression and healing. For now it's the only thing that we have, with which we can compare the Bands speed usage. It's not perfect, it's immeasurable, yet it is constantly noted that he has nearly infinite health, so it has to mean something with regards to compounding. With your math I disagree only with starting assumptions (how much investiture fits into a metalminds, how long it takes to burn it), using Miles as an example. Surprise! That's fair, it's speculative after all. I will provide an argument against this time - he does that, in a quote "3 bullet wounds for 2 weeks of storing" he was in a bubble with Wax, after getting shot and pretending to be dead, waiting for Wax to get to him, so he can heal faster in a bubble. But that is only in critical, life saving situations.- 456 replies

That wouldn't work. Firstly even if all of this nicrosil was full of investiture (which isn't in your example, there is only a "small amount of Identity-blanked Feruchemical nicrosil", it still would be a tiny drop compared to a power of the Well. The power of the Well was able to move the planet to a different orbit, shift the crust of that planet, create huge volcanoes and change every living organism on that planet. Scadrial is a low investiture world, metalminds contain very little investiture, even that big. Secondly, you only get one particular attribute you are burning, so you just explode with that power, without a mind to comprehend it, and with no ability to use it in a different way, still far too little to Ascend. At best you will become a savant, at worst nothing will happen and you just wasted a lot of useful attributes.

end neutral invested arts with breaths?

Does Nightblood's bond provide anything except resistance to temptation from him? I don't think so. But I do agree, you could do it in this way, with limitations that you listed. -
He isn't like this. He thought of his actions as right. A way to prevent Desolations from coming back. This is all that matters to him as a Herald of Justice and a Skybreaker. He didn't feel guilt, shame or anything to be fair. But you might be on the right track. As a Radiant hunter he didn't use Surgebinding a lot, wearing a glowing plate would make him too recognisable, as even in Azir viziers were wondering since when constables can have Shardblades. He might get use to working under the cover, but this still doesn’t explain why he isn’t wearing a plate during Desolation.

Well, Elend and Vin were the saviours of the old world, Telsin consider herself to be a saviour of the new world.

I doubt they would still be far weaker than Lerasium Mistborn. Lerasium Mistborn is still several times stronger than a regular Mistbron, and even TLR notes on metal plates said you need a group of mistings to control hemalurgic constructs like koloss. So 1.9x power would still be too little to break into a Kandra without duralumin. While several Inquisitors could do it, I doubt that is what OreSeur was talking about. After all, Kanda were the spies of TLR, so he shouldn't have a fear of being controlled by Inquisitors, even when acting against TLR, as the First Contract guards them from that.

Then he would be like Harmony and gave away all knowledge to them, which would in consequence limit their own progression. But so soon after Catacendre I don't think the consequences of this were visible. So no idea. I forgot about that WoB. I was thinking you were referring to someone else's identity. But if medallions have their own identity, not keyed to anybody, that could work nicely. It seems they are much closer to Honorblades than I thought.

Telsin shared with Wax that Autonomy respects people successfully acting on their own, and that she admires Wax more than Telsin. While I didn't think her body matters that much, it might be also a nod in direction that Autonomy abandoned Telsin in favor of Wax. We still might see Telsin in the future, like Edwarn was told he will be serving on another planet, Telsin might as well. Just a little note, you can use "edit" option to edit your post to avoid double posting

Yeah, now that makes sense to me. Sounds very likely.

BoM ch 21, he said he ruled them, he was able to create the Band (but I think it isn't specified that it was during his rule), and took them with him. Either because someone stole them from him, or because they require to give up powers into them permanently, or he realized that they are so powerful, that it's better not to have more than one without control, or he wanted to use them to force the Basin and Malwish to met, so the conflict between them over the Bands can start, leading to innovation. No idea, too many options, too much unknown. They can travel? Use Marsh as a messenger? Leave for a few weeks to “conduct an important business”? Some identity? No, I think they are fully identityless, but there is something going on with connection as well, like they form connection with their wearers somehow? Creating medallions do involve F-duralumin, so they could be closer to Honorblades than I thought

We don't know, while she learned how to use her "luck", it was also noted that she was subconsciously burning pewter, which helped her survive constant beating. With which I think there would be a problem. They've been ignoring their own wounds, what makes you think that they can examine themselves and find out they have something to burn, not to mention understand what burning is? Subconsciously - maybe (depending on how much human body's instincts they still have), but they won't be able to uncover Allomancy and use it to their advantage. And that's the problem. He said a few works, yes, which in his mind were enough, but they weren't. They didn't tell Vin almost anything. He lacks the mental capacity to communicate on an understandable level. He is smarter than most koloss, yet still can't talk much. His "wasn’t right" came after he asked her if Vin was fighting, so maybe in their new society it was the oldest and strongest who created new Koloss, thus he thinks that it's her job, as the strongest. So it wasn’t right for him to perform that role. It's really hard to say what he had in mind based on just a few short words.

Different use of nicrosinlminds. In medallions they work like coppermind, and the attribute is not drained, while in the Bands it was noted by Wax that the attribute is being used up. Kelsier spent some time ruling over Malwish as a Sovereign, and during that time he developed the Bands (according to Allik). So it's possible that he used his knowledge of creating medallions, solved problems with stacking more powers and created the Bands. But there are far too many unknowns. I wish TLM would have given us something more about medallions, especially how they are created, and how that nicrosil portion of them works, that everyone can tap them.

And dead? I don't know tbf. Telsin was so invested by Autonomy that she couldn't live after Autonomy withdrew her power from her. TLM ch 66

Good points on Feruchemists being religious leaders. It's plausible that Rashek would establish himself as a new religious leader in absence of the old ones. However I've always imagined that due to strong belief among Terrisan, that Alendi is the Hero of Ages, they would be the first one to denounce Rashek's claims, strongly believing that he usurped that title, and opposing him. Kvaan's final message seems to support that. It would be a situation similar to Jesus returning to Nazareth and being rejected as a prophet simply because people knew who he was. But I still think Rashek would notice very quickly that Feruchemists still exist. Terrisan discovering powers would have no reason to hide them, and would announce themself as new Feruchemists, especially after noticeable absence of old one, Terrisan would feel a strong need for new ones, and those news would soon reach Rashek, especially if he placed himself as a new religious ruler and place Terrisan as new upper class. And next adding to the fact that those times were early industrial Earth, even if Terris was lagging behind a bit, they would still have some written records, memories, and traditions, so it wouldn't be that easy for Rashek to just claim otherwise as people still remember what they were told and teached by Feruchemists. I took that form Coppermind, but it doesn't have a source.

Well Fused Surgebinding doesn't require Nahel Bond or spren, so yes, there are different methods of obtaining powers. Surges on Ashyn were similar to Rosharian, worked on a bit different mechanisms, but Rosharians would call them Surgebinding
-
There is a WoB on that too
-
Metalminds can be leeched or used with duralumin but only when they are being tapped by a feruchemist.
-
One correction, by the time Keepers were created, Terris religion was already wiped out from people's memory. So it's likely that persecution of Terrisan started as soon as he realized that Feruchemy was still present among them, which would have taken just a few short years. It took Rashek around two centuries to conquer the whole world, so by the end of his conquest Terris religion should already be forgotten.

He is a Cognitive Shadow but he has a body, thus giving him a very strong connection to Physical Realm. Mistborn SH spoiler: And spren can bond even with another spren

Vin snapped when she was being born. Since then she instinctively burned metals. Even a small kid has better mental capacity than a koloss. The difference is koloss are purposefully mentally chained by hemalurgy, so it's just hard to say how mentally able they are, compared to a person of any given age. What is shown in books clearly proves that they barely understand the basics of life, just recently gained self identity of being humans, but understanding such complex things like Allomancy would be still way beyond them. Maybe some unconscious, unintentional burning of traces metals, yet even this I find unlikely, as their body is heavily mutilated, and is no longer human-like. But koloss did start to reuse spikes, circumventing Rashek's limitations. So it was already a common thing among koloss.
-
Yes, Atium steals any power, all invested arts and possibly more. If you want to gain Radiant powers via Hemalurgy, you need to steal connection from Radiant, and spike power from a spren, because Surgebinding powers are granted to Radiant via connection to their spren.

Possibly, but rust is only on a surface, so most of the metal is still normal, and you need oxygen and water, which are present in your body. So I don't know what would happen. Yes, this was said in Era 1. But this WoB from 2021 seems to confirm Brandon changed his opinion on this and characters just simply assume that metal poisoning will affect them as normal. This is the latest WoB regarding metal poisoning and Allomancy, so it's likely the case now.
