  1. That's a shame. I was hoping for more. Don't take those WoBs and the quote as a proof contradicting your theory, take them as arguments supporting my skepticism about your theory.
  2. It would be impossible for her to Enlight Stormfather as well, he's too invested (investiture resists investiture) and she just learned how to corrupt True Spren (which requires their consent - always). Stormfather is too proud to agree to that and he remembers his past well - there are suggestions that Enlightened spren loses their memories when corrupted, just like Unmades do. And why is he fine later in WoK? He isn't corrupted anymore. That might be a small point. But if Shallan is named after Ash, what was the relation between Ash and Chana? Can she be Shallash's mother? We know nothing about her. Chana doesn't look like Ash's mother but Jez doesn't look like her father as well. Maybe they can change their appearance just like Returned and that is why Ash looks different?
  3. Brandon casually talking about dragons while you guys (and me) all had your mind blown was crazy. Lesser and greater dragons, dragon palaces and skyscrapers in Silverlight, with corporations run by dragons - all of that like it was nothing. That's just wild. Not to mention Mistborn: Ghostblood!
  4. Did you say Awakening and wings? Yes, here you go, you can make a fully functional wings with Awakening, I've described it here: Weaponizing it would be a problem. Adding any metal to the structure would increase its weight too much, wings would have to be bigger, which means more weight, more metal as weapons, bigger wings etc. Not possible, especially if you want to make entire wings out of metal. You need to make as light as possible for them to be able to carry you up. They're already gigantic without any metallic addition. And the wings themself are delicate, as they're made out of fabric, so you want to avoid any contact with enemy and sharp tools as much as possible, as even a single tear can cause the entire wings to fail. A spear is all you can take. It would be best to use Awakened wings with Malwish iron medallion, for weight reduction. That way you can seriously change their shape and wingspan. No. I believe sapience is needed. Plus a shape is very important for Awakening type 4 entities. You wouldn't have Nightblood if you Awaken a shield. So using something that isn't a weapon might not create what you want. I think that depends on your perception. Vasher Awakened the entire clothing of a man, without a body itself (they were mercenaries) - those clothing would very likely have metal parts in them, belts, buttons etc. It wasn't hard for him. I think if you perceive something correctly you can Awaken a piece of fabric with a metal piece sewn into it, without Awakening metal itself. I think it might be possible to create workable wings using Lightweaving. Shallan was likely adding mass to her Lightweaving during the OB battle. You need to do that enough to interact with air and you have wings. Hard to do but theoretically possible. We don't have any "laser" or "light" Aether for now (there is sunlight but how does it work is hard to say). That's just impossible right now. No currently available Aether could make a working pair of angelic wings. Yes but Awakening object would likely not work anymore in a way you want it.
  5. The clumsiness of it make Hoid's memory blurry and weird. Just like he was in the epilogue. That's true. I still think that's unlikely. Rlain said he couldn't see it but "it was always ready" - it might be similar to what Jasnah did, spren are ready to form a plate but aren't on her all the time - just like a Shardblade, it's always there ready when needed but not physically there all the times. And there was no mention of a plate or plate spren in KoWT Kaladin's chapter. I think it makes more sense for a living plate to behave like that.
  6. All other invested arts are based on Connection, impossible for Odium to tamper with due to protection Hoid has. Breaths are the only ones that are outside of this. As I said previously, he didn't check all of his Allomantic powers, so that doesn't make sense.
  7. I think Jasnah will start searching for more information about Cosmere, but not from Hoid. She just realized that she isn't that important to him, and he can't be trusted. Not only he didn't tell her about his "chat with Odium '', despite asking him to do so earlier, but more importantly Hoid can't change for her, he won't put her where she, as his lover, should be placed. This relationship might be over, or at least be in a complicated phase until Hoid does what he should have done. Yes, I've immediately picked that up too. Important for us in future vs threads Cosmere spoilers:
  8. Sja-Anat said that she only recently learned how to Enlight True Spren or spren of Oathgates. She isn't powerful enough to influence Honor himself, not even Stormfather as Stormfather is the most invested entity on Roshar except for Shards. Stormfather holds the biggest pieces of Honor. I think that's impossible for her to do.
  9. I find it difficult to believe. Koravellium Avast and Tanavest were lovers, she still feels for him. She still fights against Odium and she did help Honor against Odium (we have this confirmed). Not to mention most Shard's Vessels doesn't like Hoid and don't speak with him - Edgli doesn't like him, Bavadin obviously hates him, Mistborn Spoilers: Cultivation being on non speaking terms with him isn't anything new to us compared to other Vessels. It seems that it is her that doesn't like him, and they never got along WoR ch 55:
  10. C'mon I Will Survive
  11. They're space-faring, they can make habitats on non-habitable worlds, colonies and bases all around your solar system and even beyond if you want them to.
  12. They're definitely not random, they're 99% Horneaters. And that's not how space in between worlds looks like, we saw it in SH, Kelsier was there. This has to be a new Subastral:
  13. They're definitely not on Roshar or Scadrial:
  14. The Lightweaving was most likely Yolish, smoke is a cue (he used a smoke to tell the story about Wandersail in WoK and Tsa/Mishim in OB) and he was already using it before bonding with Design to change his appearance. But what was he doing there with all those invested arts? Was that because he was angry/frightened or something else? He definitely used White Sand to measure investment of Breaths, but why a random steelpush? Dalinar said it previously, RoW ch 117: Right, the way it was said makes sense "an old friend" isn't from Roshar. Then I think that's definitely Frost and we're going to have a letter to/from him in the epigraphs of the first or second part. Frost seems to know Rayse well (second letter: "He is what we made him to be, old friend. And that is what he, unfortunately, wished to become.") and would likely be able to spot loopholes Rayse might use. Or at least that's a chance for Hoid to prove Frost wrong, that Odium had changed and Rayse had changed, that Rayse isn't just a force as the second letter said. But If they will be searching for a loophole Rayse might use, then unless they realize Taravangian Ascended, I think they will miss it, and Taravangian will have another loophole which they won't predict. And what did Adolin and Shallan tell Dalinar? Why did he cut it??
  15. Oh wow, thanks, that was interesting. Wit figures out his memories were tampered with but they still don't know it was Taravangian, not Rayse. I wonder if they will realize that before the Contest. I bet the "she and I aren’t on speaking terms" is about Cultivation, but I have no idea who "an old friend" can be if that's somebody on Roshar. If not that's it's most likely Frost, whom Hoid called an old friend in his letters. What's the writing language Hoid used? They look like Aons.
  16. If they don't have FTL, which in Cosmere seems to be achievable only with invested arts (time bubbles are involved), they have no way to travel between stars. White humanoid shape with no eyes, dark holes where their eyes should be. Yes. But it slows them down a bit, it puts a pressure on them. Something smaller than what Kel felt when passing through walls of the Ire fortress (because regular walls aren't that invested).
  17. Thanks You really made me look at this? Looking at the statistics of deaths in the city of Kraków and surrounding area in 2021 (pop ~800000) there were around 200 deaths weekly. Suffering's week is almost ours 2 weeks, that 400 deaths weekly. And Suffering is in the past (I'm not sure if in the middle ages or maybe something more like Aztec/Maya Empire), there would be many more deaths caused by having no advanced practice of medicine - those ill people would be sacrificed. While I intended for dozens to be in a middle sized city and hundreds in a bigger city, where several amphitheaters are built, math checks out. Kind of. Close enough. No. It isn't used and it isn't discovered. I was thinking about it and I'm conflicted.Ultimately I think that connection to Mercy is required. Good question. I didn't think of it. Their soul is made out of 52 souls, which are more invested than what's just in innate investiture, so I think they could do it, it would fragment their soul and take one of it out to heal (no spiritual healing still, I want this to be achievable only with liquid Dor and stuff like that). If a Memory is fresh and has exactly 52 souls, and wasn't invested more, then performing a Blood Healing would degrade him into a Murk. If he was fed with Innate investiture from Blood Healing, this would be used as fuel (or if a Memory wants he can force one of his souls to fuel it). But healing with innate investiture would be as good as normal Blood Healing, but a Memory is instinctively better at it, he can draw more precise symbols and just do more with it because of that. Possible. What happens if you bond a Herald? Or Fused? Or Returned? Or Kelsier? Or Shade? It's possible in theory but it has never happened. Ask me again when it happens in books. A Murk is mindless, he doesn't choose anything (except for the victim but that's because of Mercy's investiture). Because he gains investiture by consuming body, he will always have a body when invested enough. Almost - they can feed on someone who's in CR. But I think they can still take over that body, but doing so will make them stuck in CR unable to feed. If for some reason there was really no body there, they would probably become a sentient Murk. Oh, I was struggling with coming up with that name but that's it. Thanks. I don't want them to. It's innate investiture, not kinetic, it doesn't heal, it's more like Breaths and Drabs. I was thinking of making the source of investiture be on Hope, just shining a little on Suffering investing people, so this might be canon, or not. It fits with the name. Even if it was somehow similar I would still want to read it! Can't wait for it. Great minds thinks alike Tbf I like checking if your worlds are correct But sure, we can put it in a spoiler tag. I try to avoid going into too much detail, because here I have even orbits of all planets in the system, Hill spheres and stuff like that. I was trying to even calculate the temperature of the gas giant, but I thought I'm going too far. How is it still standing? Burj Khalifa is 830m tall with 163 floors, yours would be 130 km tall. Part of it would be underground, but the deepest hole humans managed to dig was 12 km deep, where the temperature reached 180 C (but in Germany a 9 km deep hole reached 260 C). Why is it still standing? That's basically a space elevator, not a city (I love space elevators are they in use in your city?) But you later count 11112 floors, that's still 57,5 km high, no longer a space elevator ( ) but still impossible. Oh, ok ok, that fixes it. Yes, that makes sense, that's a very smart solution Moon's angular size = 4,3 degrees, 8x larger than Earth's moon. Orbit works. I had too Awakened quantum computers with access to Fortune and Spiritual Realm say hello. Not proud? Only 2 hours to make and write all of this? Madness. It's brilliant as always. A combination of cyberpunk with investiture and god metals is very interesting. I think it's good to see developed politics, every world in Cosmere is full of it, just like our world. It's just another important detail to implement.
  18. I've finished my Mercy world. It's not as detailed as the one just shown by Firesong, but I can't think of anything more. Here it is: I'm missing culture and ecology, but I can't think of anything. My imagination doesn't reach that deep. Still, I Hope it's enJoyable to read
  19. That's just my predictions, not facts.
  20. Colors. That's a masterpiece. It's very good, and so detailed. 3 new animal species, lots of numbers, a fully developed and interesting culture, genetically changed people, and nice investiture addition to end. Love it. You're really good at it.
  21. I believe Dalinar will lose, he will become Odium's Fused and this will kill Stormfather making him into a deadeye. This will happen in the first half of the KoWT, the second half will be focused on fixing this problem. Stormfather's death would be very disastrous, not only would it mean no more Stormlight, but no more storms at all, it will only rain as like in endless Weeping. This will flood parts of Roshar, causing destruction of Kharbranth which would mean Odium broke his oath with Taravangian wounding him and forcing him to withdraw. People will bring back Stormfather by either releasing BAM or by somebody Ascending to Honor. That's how KoWT will end. And SA 6 will start with another event that will kick start war again. Whatever it might be. Odium will definitely return with some new allies. Hard to say. But new characters will be a new primary POV of the second half of SA, not Kaladin or Shallan or Dalinar, their arcs will end in SA 5.
  22. They are. Donor powers and attributes are always stolen through the heart, using one of the 4 binding points there. You need to be super precise with your spike here. Hitting with an already charged spike into a binding point is still very hard, as bullets don't stop in your body, it goes through. It can also shatter into pieces on impact. It's not as easy as it seems, especially with moving people. You're slightly off and the spike won’t work. In TLM we saw innate investiture being stolen through a point around the neck. This requires precision, intent and command. Other than that, everything else is stolen through the heart.
  23. I suggest you open a thread here: https://www.17thshard.com/forum/forum/18-mistborn/ and ask again to get a more detailed answer. This isn't a place for that. Short answer: Let's not discuss it here, if you want a more detailed answer, please create a thread in the Mistborn subforum where we can discuss it further and explain everything that's confusing.
  24. For all we know for Hemalurgy to work it has to always pierce a specific binding point to steal part of the soul. Usually it's through the heart (there are 4 binding points in the heart). So yes, as we understand it now it has to go through the heart. We don't have any examples of "failed" spikes.
