  1. I think that this is a great idea, but there are a few things that might stop this from either happening or being effective. 1. Plans that don't involve other guilds. The guilds that I am a part of do have goals right now. They are currently working toward something. The issue is that those goals don't involve other guilds. Ideally the goals of a guild would involve other guilds in some way to create conflict, but for certain guilds it wouldn't make sense. 2. The second thing that I think might be standing in the way of making plans is the fact that so many people belong to multiple guilds. It makes it really difficult to plan stuff if you can't tell half your guild about it for one reason or another. The rest of your points I completely agree with. And I also 100% agree with archers post.
  2. Hey ark, Mac has been hired as security, and I’m thinking he needs a few upgrades, so watch out.
  3. The chairman looks up. And listens to the conversation. And then internally monologues for a while. He’s and I are not sure about what this deal with a avatars and authors is, but because we are only thinking to ourselves, nobody should get mad. It seems to me that we need a little divine intervention here. We tried to lower the power of the alleyverse, in era 2, but failed. Instead all of hear gods were born. I’m thinking back to what happened at the end of the silmilarion. Where the earth was rounded, and he gods were removed from middle earth. And I know that I started this by putting mac on the worlds, but that was a mistake. How to do it though? That was the question. Well, maybe we don’t need to do a hard limit yet. Maybe we just need to take all the gods and have them police themselves. These are just a few thoughts tho, maybe I’m completely off base and this won’t result in the complete destruction of the alleyverse. Time will tell.
  4. I was fully intending it to be legit. Infact Mac and Mack already met me in that thread.
  5. There’s not really an issue with it so long as you understand that people will doge it. In fighting, it’s considered good for you to give people a way out with your attacks. Considering balefire is an insta kill, I say that most people are able to dodge my attacks. I would ask that any character that uses balefire make sure that it’s in character. Most good people don’t use it, because it would stop your character from going beyond. If you want to use it, ask your self if you really are that evil? So long as you don’t expect it to be an insta kill and realize that people will dodge it if you use it for attacks, and you make sure it’s in character, then I say you can go ahead.
  6. Mac looked over from where he was readying the stamps. ”Yeah, so uh we appreciate the eagerness to join science, but we need to have your spirit web memorized for this experiment. Also, I’m pretty sure you were just running around in the alleys causing trouble,”
  7. Hes not actually an exceptional rioter. But even then, Complete control over someone is tricky. Humans are interestingly strong willed. Like, even Marsh, in era 1 resisted ruins control with a crap ton of spikes. And ruin is a full fledged shard.
  8. "Lets use this one. We already have the stamps made." Mac looked over to the man who had walked in. Without a second glance, he warped that mans head off and across the room. "Ok, it does seem like it should work. Laurelai, I need you to do the stamp. You can use your boon at this point if you want, unless the bane will affect the experiment detrimentally some how."
  9. Life, I’m not planning on having Mac fight solace, that was more of a joke. The thing is, I don’t think I can accurately RP a fight with Mac, because there is no way that he couldn’t go for an instant win right away. His spacial manipulation isn’t really limited by a whole lot of things. In fact, it has only 2 limitations. The first wouldn’t really affect any fight he had in the alleyverse. The second wouldn’t affect any realistic fight he could have in the alleyverse. Also, I’m not good at RP fighting.
  10. “Good.” Mac rose up and warped away for a few moments. He quickly returned with a jar of blood. “The way hemalurgy works is that you can’t spike something out of them without killing them, or putting them in a place with terrible spiritual damage. What we do instead is we give people essentially clinical physcopathy, which unlike those movies on earth, does not turn you into a mindless killing machine. What it does is dampens your emotions and makes them a lot easier to ignore. Usually, that isn’t a problem with the people in society. But you, you will have an issue with the darkness and what not pushing you to absorb anything in sight. I’m not that afraid, personally, because even if you absorb me there is a sizable chance that I will live.” With that said, Mac placed the spike over solace’s temple, and with pewter enhanced strength, shoved it in. "Its done." @Mraize
  11. *visible confusion* "This isn't a public business, so no getting a majority share in the company. I'm, really confused about how you plan to buy my business from me without my permission. Heck, you can't even drive me out of business! You don't even know how we make our money!"
  12. I can confirm that that is a wicked powerful character. I can still think of ways that solace could easily kill it, and Mac too, but it would be mountains ahead of the other characters in power level. I do agree with archer that the motivation may be misplaced. Mraize did design solace to be able to be beaten, he’s designed to be a villain that the hero’s have to team up with to beat. Hellbent has a whole lot of backstory showing how he got to this point. Mac is really powerful because of the amount of augmentations that he can give himself through hemalurgy, and his association with the DA, both of which have been well established. In addition, none of these people abuse their characters power. Mac doesn’t go on killing sprees and control other people’s characters, even though he probably could. Hellbent the same, when he RP’s fights and interactions he doesn’t instantly wreck everyone, even though he could, and mraize is supposed to be strong enough to have a team take him down.
  13. “Here you go.” Mac produced a pen and a waiver from his pocket. He always kept one on hand. “As to the part about killing me, well, good luck. Many have tried.”
  14. “That won’t fix your problem. But honesty that’s not my issue. Though I do want you to sign a waiver saying I, and the DA, are not responsible for any damage caused by your emotionless massacre. I do feel obliged to mention that there are a number of other ways this could be fixed, that won’t result in a man with power and no moral compass.”
  15. Mac turned to the side to look at the club president. "No thanks, I already have my own." Out of his other pocket he removes a tiny bottle filled with pure capsaicin, and takes a shot. Turning back to Solace, he repeats his question. "What is your request?"
  16. Mack looked at her with a weird look on his face. "What in the name of the Ten Fools gave you that idea? Its not even a company for damnation's sake!"
  17. Ahhh. He wants us to remove the voices. "I am talented at fulfilling requests. Though you will pay a price. And that price will likely be a bit pricier than a few chrysts. What is your request?"
  18. Mac thought for a moment, then gave a grim smile. "I can't say I have. It seems like something I would do, but no. Never really had someone to care about anyway. I've seen people fail before." Macs eyes softened as he remembered his brethren. Pasts members of the council who were sent across the multiverse. "I've seen Mac's with great potential that, for some reason or another didn't succeed in their charges. I've seen their souls torn apart, flayed by the power of our creator. I've seen the hurt in their eyes as its happened. But never betrayal." His face hardened as he thought of the lost ones. "They knew what they were accepting when they took the charge. They knew what they were risking. And they knew that there is no is no excuse, or room, for failure. In that way I can say I've been lucky. Never had to seen that betrayal it, never had the opportunity to. I can't imagine why someone would do that to themselves. Not when they can remove those feelings so easily."
  19. "Well it depends. Cookies from my pocket are always a grab bag. Some of them have no spikes, others have powerful spikes, and others have random interesting things that we've accumulated over the years. Judging from the weight of this one, I can say it has a spike, but probably nothing useful like allomancy. Those spikes tend to be larger."
  20. Silently, a silver line appeared and widened into a pitch black gateway, out of which stepped a figure with a characteristic suit and bowler hat. He didn't have any obvious spikes on at the moment, but appearances have been known to be deceiving when Mac was concerned. "Hello old friend. Do you want a cookie?" He reached into his pocket and removed a chocolate chip cookie, offering it to Solace.
