People you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley

Yay! Im thinking of making thorstein be like a gandalfy guy who loves the little man (or kid). On a completely different note, would making edibles enchanted cookies that enchant you once you eat them be allowed? Like a cookie that you eat and it changes your future, or makes you happier. I know this sounds a lot like weed products, but essentially im trying to make cookies, that are potions.

Yeah. Its also probably my fault. Attempting to learn an entire unit of chemistry in a single night left me a bit crabby.
-
I know, sorry if that came off as rude. It was intended to be light hearted.

What? Why does everything have to be sad and dark! Lets lighten up the world a little.

Its much more of an imaginary playmate. The idea stems from the thought that little kids can create their own worlds to play in. They have so much belief and faith in how the world works, and when they are alone, no one is there to limit them. In addition, I feel like a group of kids belief, in general, is a lot more potent than a group of adults. Because a group of 30 year olds understand basic logic and reason and know that there is a way the world works, but kids don't know about any of that. They legitimately think the floor is lava, even if they don't get hurt when they touch it. I think that their belief, is limited to things they understand though. Like having fun and playing, as opposed to people trying to make them nor believe in the dragon on top of the mountain so that they can get the gold. Essentially, the childs innocence makes their belief in good things more potent, because to a kid the world is always more magical. Im thinking indian in the cupboard, or the steadfast tin soldier.

What if it only came alive when it was alone with him? Like he was playing with it in his room and it played with him, but if a parent or another child who didn't believe walked in it would disappear.

Quick question about natural magic, lets say that you had a man who carved a little wooden soldier for a boy, then told him that if the boy believed hard enough, the wooden figure would come alive. Would that be enough belief for the figure to move around? Could the amount of belief needed decrease if the man attached the spirit web of a living creature or something to the doll?

hey can I make an NPC as the headmaster of the academy?
-
No they are a separate setting and thus the 5 character limit does not apply.

Another DA scientist walked into the room. Tipping his bowler hat at the gathered officials he turned to address the robes figure. "The DA is helping you by removing the rouges, we have sent in agents and hopefully this conflict will be dealt with soon."

Marcus Alexander Carlson stepped into the building. This was the first time the field agents were being called into action in Ages! Finally a chance to practice spike jitsu! Pulling two spikes from his bandolier he charged into the fray toward one of the pewter arms. He started tapping his brass at the same time, heating himself up so that his skin was above boiling temperature. He ran toward the pewter arm and jumped onto him, attempting to shove the spikes in the man's arms. @Darth Sir Woodrack Groot

@ZincAboutIt you are going to start the thread tmrw?
-
We would prefer it if any mention of guilds were avoided in these threads. While it wasn't technically recruitment, a PM would have sufficed or something similar.
-
They have been added to the character list. Welcome to the RP!
-
Yeah. The mod team is working on getting a main plot going for E3, or at least some plot.
-
That would be perfect. Honestly the amount of people trying to do big plot reveals in the main RP is really annoying.

On the subject of a GM, I don’t think we should need one once things get started. People can bring their own characters to the scene and we as a community can try and develope a story as it moves along, a bit like the reckoners RP. For OOC stuff let’s just stick to using this thread.

Thx @beantheboy12 for the help. K I would ask a few things about his oaths. The first is which law does he follow? The law of whatever area he is in? Also, Veil's third oath feels a lot more like an ideal of crusade as opposed to an ideal of dedication. If possible you might want to change that a little. I mostly agree with Beans rating, but the nightwatcher thing I would change a little. I would say that the Eye and the nightwatcher boon together are worth about 25 points, and that the bane is about 40 points. Because this means that every time he stabs someone, he feels that stab of pain. How long has he been training with the bow? If its been less than a year of training, then the ranking will be different than if they have been training with a bow for 1-5 years. 160 + 25 - 40 +75 + 30 or 45 = 250 or 265 is his current ranking. That is about 145 magic points and 105-120 skill points. You need to have a maximum of 150 net points, with a maximum of 100 devoted to magic and about 50 devoted to skills. If you have extra magic points you can use them on more skill points, but I wouldn't be worried about that right now. Right now you need to work on adding a few more weaknesses. Once you define the oaths bit more, it may be a bit more reasonable. In addition I would like to know what broke veil and caused them to bond with a spren. Depending on how broken they are that can subtract more points.

Ok, I'm scrapping Mak and committing a Heresy. Making a non Mac Character. I can put all the info of the google doc into the OP when its all finalized, and then I think we can get started RPing?

I’m not sure how many fire based active characters there are, but fire can feature a large role in fights. *cough the waiter, den of thieves cough*

Depends on the temperature and the exact affects of storing brass. If you are naked, so your clothes don’t burn, and brass Cools your hair down, and the metal is inside your stomach, you could easily survive temperatures above the melting point of brass. I don’t know how high you could survive but it would be interesting. You would need mechanisms to survive the lack of oxygen. In fact, gold compounding is probably better for fireproofing than brass because brass just doesn’t mean you get damaged from the fire, but gold would heal any fire damage, smoke damage, suffocation, and any other type of damage.
