A fight scene all depends on the perspective. A duel? How skilled a swordsman is telling the story? If he has an affinity for the blade, he might mention postures and techniques during the duel, paying attention to detail. On the other hand, an inexperienced person might only remark on wounds inflicted and who got hit, and might feel more stressed and rushed. In a fistfight, similar rules apply. See the scene through your character's eyes.

Mid-Range Game 21: The Battle for Nebrask
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Sart's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, thank you. I would really like to play this game, and I will be available next week. I will be signing up as Gunther the Slow, a giant sloth who plays the tuba. He impersonates large bodied humans, and when discovered, uses his pet monkey, Horatio, to convince them that sloths deserve rights. #slothlivesmatter- 368 replies

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
That is scary. I think it's a bacteria that's causing this, but I don't have a PhD or anything, so don't count my word for anything. What might be even more concerning if it is a bacteria is if it is antibiotic resistant. -

I might just vote on Drake to prevent vote manip. If one player's vote is switched, then we have a tie. So I encourage everyone who has not voted to vote. -

Wilson... you know it might have been better to wait until perhaps D4 to roleclaim? You didn't really have any reason to, even though it definitely makes the game more interesting. -
Ah, let me tell you about what set the standard for all skyships in the whole of fantasy for me. The Edge Chroncles folow a certain family through generations and time periods in the land known as the Edge. The Edge is a gigantic precipice extending over an endless void. To traverse the Edge, the primary mode of transport is a skyship, held aloft by a floating rock in its center. The plot of each book I cannot recall exactly, but won me over for these books was the world.

You're lucky, my library has a limited variety. I started the Old Kingdom, but I have not found the final books. I have enjoyed what I have read so far. Have you read the Edge Chronicles?

@StrikerEZ, you say you make electronic music? I think that's great-- dubstep is my music of choice, and I'd like to make my own, but I've had trouble finding a program that can meet my expectations and fit my delusions of grandeur. I'll have to try Auxy. Perhaps you could PM me some of your music?

Random Stuff X: Something Weird

Oh. Sorry. Looker is a detective character that is first introduced in the Sinnoh games, and occurs occasionally in subsequent games. He's fairly recent. Don't worry about it. -

I've actually speculated on this a few times... a way to connect Looker to every single region and prove the existence of a single enemy composed of all the rest. However, there is not enough information, so... -
Long Game (3)2: Pulling on Strings
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Quinn sat with his head buried in his arms on the table in the grand hall. Had his face been visible, bags would have been visible under his eyes and hints of stubble on his chin from a lack of care. The deaths have not been kind on his sanity. Oh, I hope he does pull through this. I would hate to lose him. So you realize that Quinn is not a terrible human being? I never said that. Quinn stirred and hesitantly raised his head. With squinted eyes, he glanced around. Through his groggy gaze, he spotted someone familiar. He rubbed his face, smoothed his hair, and straightened. He recognized her now. It was the woman, awake now. A new mission invigorated him, and he stood up. Two other men stood by her, speaking. They seemed determined. Quinn joined the group and graciously extended a hand to her, and half-bowed. A crick in his neck prohibited him from bending further. "I apologize for our previous encounter, it was quite rash of me to act in such a way to a lady such as your self. I see you have made some acquaintances; my name is Quinn, at your service." At least he's doing something. Good job, Quinn. @Arraenae, @Yitzi2, @Figberts -
Long Game (3)2: Pulling on Strings
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hmmm. What is this vow? I skimmed through the previous cycles, where most of your posts were insubstantial RP. There was nothing about some vow to slay my poor gentleman Quinn. Is this vote purely RP? If it is, then I highly encourage you to remove it and place it somewhere with reasonable evidence. @Darkness Ascendant, you neglected to include me in your player analysis. I am offend Much suspicion is being centered around Drake and Aonar, Drake due to his particular activity, and Aonar from a slightly less active position. It is likely that the Inquisitor sought out an active player to convert, so that he/she could have an Elim influence in much of the discussion. Drake is an active player, but that doesn't incriminate him yet. Aonar gets a bad gut read from me, and Drake is beginning to tilt Elim from his tone, but there needs to be more from this. I will most likely vote on one of these two. -

Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I clap for you, Aman. Another round of applause. This was a magnificent game of SE, one of the best I've ever played (even though I've only played four), and I very much look forward to the continuation of the storyline. I already have plans for my next character. Good work! The Truth will live on.
