The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Once at Central Processing, the Ronduran Animal Protection Agency (RAPA) was notified of the arguably inhumane treatment of these animals, but that was when the dubious edibles arrived.- 111810 replies

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Unfortunately, the Ronduran Postal Service (RPS) had a maximum weight limit for all shipped items, and the heavily spiked hamsters exceeded the limit, causing the entire shipment to be redirected to Central Processing for inspection. (I doubt we could possibly have the longest thread on the forum, since Random Stuff has been around for a long time, among others. We'd need to exceed 200 pages or more.)- 111810 replies

Rules for Surviving a Fantasy World

90. Ignore Rule 89 if you are not Awesome. There is a very high chance of being executed for stealing food, and association with nobility increases overall death chance by 36%. -

Long Game 44: Shadows of Elantris Redux
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Badger. I wasn't paying enough attention to catch that, thank you @randuir. However, now that I've updated myself again (briefly) on the thread (Merciful Domi, you all are talkative), helpfully pointing out my mistake isn't necessarily a soft clear. Aman makes a strong point. Though my word alone is nothing to go off of, especially with how well I've been following the thread, this is quite a strange post. Broken down in such a fashion, it seems quite suspicious. You switched votes in the middle of a post, but in a way that made it seem like an afterthought. Right now, you aren't looking so good. Long Game 44: Shadows of Elantris Redux
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Sorry for not posting, I've been a little busy, but now I'm caught up on the thread. It was hard to sift through what discussion there was out of all of the RP going on (Though its totally great, don't stop), but what is there is typical of D1. Though there hasn't been much argument on whether there should be a lynch or not. Interesting, since there usually is, but I think most everyone agrees on a lynch? Perhaps I missed something. Either way, the only way we can get solid information to start the game is with a lynch, in my opinion. Kidpen and Bort went back and forth at each other, but that's pretty NAI. Honestly, most everything was NAI, except for the pendant discussion, which I felt was eager to point fingers. It doesn't spark any sort of gut read though. I think I will just push this little bandwagon along, Badger. It wasn't actually anyone. Reth watched the person pass by, moving quite frantically, presumably from stress, then returned to his relaxed state. Except he couldn't focus anymore. The person, hidden in the crowd now, had ruined his concentration! He scowled, but there was nothing he could do about it now. Best get some work done.- 1185 replies

Long Game 44: Shadows of Elantris Redux
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Herowannabe's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Reth leaned against one of the Hall's large marble pillars that towered up to support the vast central dome. A spectacle of architecture, indeed. Reth had an eye for spectacles, yes he did. In fact, if you happen to ask the right person at the right time (usually when there is a knife involved, but you didn't hear it from me), that might be the reason Reth was here in Arelon. Because there is no spectacle, not even this Jaddeth the Shu-Dereth have been ranting about, like Elantris. But hey, forget about it. Reth pulled the brim of his fedora lower on his face and felt a slimmer of a smile flicker on his face. To some, there was an indescribable air of mischief and deviousness about it. To others, he might have been remembering an old joke he once heard. Any of them could be true, but Reth was really thinking about the situation around him. A man, brutally murdered. A royal court, trapped and paranoid. And one man, himself, who has a knack for getting into the wrong place at the wrong time. He had once heard of a man who was always at the right place at the right time, and hopes that maybe one day, they would meet. Woe to anyone else around. Peoplewatching should be an official sport, Reth thought. He would certainly be champion if it was, that is, if he cared enough to compete. The various reactions of the nobles were each individual yet all together very mood. He couldn't think of any other way to describe it. He could have gone watching them all day, undisturbed, but that was when someone walked up to him. Open to RP collab- 1185 replies

Ah haha! I'm back in town, and I'm a late entry! But who cares, because Reth Liari (dashing vagabond with enigmatic origins) is joining this game! Nothing is known about him. Where did he come from? Why did he go? Where did he come from (cotton eye joe)- 1185 replies

Long Game 43: Under the Banner of Adonalsium
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Seonid, @Arraenae, thank you for this great game. It was very fun (I won). It was a very interesting game to play, and if I hadn’t focused on Autonomy, I’m sure I would have been overwhelmed by everything going on, even everything I wasn’t aware of. Mentions to Arraenae again for the superb write ups. Excellent. -

Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Congratulations to all! I’ll explain to you the game from my side of things. I received Autonomy N0, and I immediately knew I was set. I had joined the game to have fun, and what’s more fun than forsaking your previous wincon to take over the Cosmere? I didn’t receive my wincon until N3. At that time, I already had two aspects. I realized that I could end the game within two cycles, depending on if Ruin destroyed Roshar or not. I could place an aspect on Taldain, and then put one on Roshar if Ruin doesn’t make things easier for me. All I had to do this cycle was wait it out and hope I didn’t get lynched. And I had little reason to worry either. With enough suspicion going around against Ruin, Odium, underlying concern with Fifth, and the whole thing that Drake brought up at the beginning of the Day, I could be pretty sure that I wasn’t going to be prime candidate. What amused me most is when @randuir and @Fifth Scholar actually requested aspects on their worlds. I had to play down my reaction in thread. Yet again, good game. -

(I forgot how to put things into colors on mobile) <color=blue> I will be traveling for the rest of the turn, so I will not be able to post again before rollover. I regret that I cannot pull together more evidence at the moment, but I will mention that your accusation of Fifth sounded very off to me. <color=red> Drake. (this means I’m voting on Drake) -
Long Game 43: Under the Banner of Adonalsium
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Drake, I understand the suspicion you might have for this post, yet I don't think its much of a stretch to say that there would have been a kill during the Night. If Ruin were to destroy a planet, it would arouse immediate suspicion, and with a little process of elimination, we could have discerned who Ruin is and lynched them. Thus, using their kill action was a safer choice. Though one could suspect that Ruin would use their kill, it was still not a 100% certainty. Same thing with Odium. Though Odium has not placed many kill orders, there was still the possibility of one last Night. If you saw Fifth's response, he claims to have used "kills" in the ambiguous sense, to allow for any number of possible kills. I don't know why Khriss would want to coordinate Odium's action to Shatter a Shard, unless investing a Shattered Shard in a world still counts? And anyways, I don't see much connection between the two kills, enough to insinuate teamwork. Though both were Vessels, Honor would only have been gained last Night, and there was no way to know who had gotten it of the people on Scadrial. If Khriss (as you suppose) wanted Honor dead, she would have organized both kills towards players on Scadrial. Additionally, I'm not sure how they got tipped off that Bard was Devotion either, because I had no clue. -

You make a very good point here. However, from doc conversations I've seen on Nalthis and Scadrial, I can't see any particularly suspicious points from any of the players. I'm less inclined to believe that Ruin didn't just take the quick route to his destination. We'll just have to see what happens toNight. We won't get any information otherwise. -

Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Ripple's list of Monster's actions matches up, so I'm less inclined to suspect her now. This leaves my other main suspects as Eternum, (Joe, though just to leave possibilities open) and Bard, who I don't have much evidence against, but I want to be thorough. Of these, I am most suspicious of Eternum. -
Long Game 43: Under the Banner of Adonalsium
Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I looked back at all of the previous page's posts concerning the placement of players on planets and have compiled a list, for convenience. Spoilered for length. Asterisk implies an aspect on that world, and italicized players were not refugees. I can vouch that Pyro was not a refugee to Taldain, because he told me before that he would be hopping there. Everyone on Scadrial and Nalthis are refugees. Of the refugees on the vulnerable worlds (Roshar, Taldain), I suspect Eternum, Fifth, RippleGylf, Jondesu, and Joe. Young Bard is also a possibility, but no one has suspected them yet, mainly because they brought up the point first. You may wonder why I included RippleGylf in my list. She took over from Monster, who was pretty active in the earlier game. Braize was destroyed N1 (D2), which was during the time that MonsterMetroid was active. Then notice no apparent action from Ruin N2. RippleGylf comes in N3, and now Silverlight has blown up.This train of thought places a lot of stress on what I presume Ripple's actions would be after being thrown into a random role. I assume that Ruin got their new win-con last Night. If Ripple is Ruin, and saw this new win-con as the first thing they see coming into the game, I would assume that the obvious course of action is to pursue that win-con. This entire spiel relies heavily on "if", but should still be considered. We haven't heard a lot from Joe nor Jondesu. This is a very safe comment by Eternum. This literally applies to everyone who was on Silverlight, including Ruin. Fifth has been discussed previously this turn by other players, and I'm feeling a bit lazy to go through all of their posts. However, being Ruin is perfectly within possibility for Fifth, but the flaw I see here is what happened N2. Specifically, nothing happened. This could have occurred from roleblock, inactivity, or prudence. Ruin could have been roleblocked, which would have been quite lucky and was probably done randomly. Anyone with an ability to roleblock and did so N2 should probably speak to test this theory (this applies only to Silverlight, Taldain, and Roshar. I had an eye on Scadrial and Nalthis). Ruin could have been inactive that cycle, and thus didn't put in an order. Or, Ruin chose not to take an action, neither destroy a world, submit a kill order, nor invest in a player. All of Ruin's actions take place during the Night turn, so to not do anything essentially throws away the whole cycle. -

All of us are refugees. I know, since my aspect has been keeping an eye on the planet for nearly the entire game. Also, @Steeldancer. I suggest you make use of your Returned abilities. -

Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I suppose that would work. If Ruin is trying to destroy as many worlds as quickly as possible, then he won’t want to bother trying to punch through one of my aspects (and I’d be able to see who he is in the world doc). It sounds like a good plan to me. -

Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Your reasoning makes no sense. Why not just not vote at all? I guess there's nothing that can be done about it, because your human form requires sleep to exist. Foolish humans. Do they not understand the weakness of their flesh? They could become... so much more. *maniacal laughter ensues* -

I'm not so sure about dangerous. I still haven't been overwhelmed, surprisingly. If we lynch you, we know that Mage will get it, so we can continue to keep tabs on the Shard. If I die, it could go to anyone, perhaps an Elim, and as you said, three votes is a lot of control over the lynch. We wouldn't want that to fall into Elim hands. -

Hemalurgic Headshot replied to Seonid's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Why do you want to vote on me when you don't like people getting lynched? One of us, me or Straw, will get lynched. You are forgetting about vote manipulation and extra votes. If you voted on me because you thought that would tie the vote, then could you pick one of us with the intent to lynch them? Please choose Straw. -
