  1. Elandera (2): TJ, Striker Striker (1): Elandera Araris (1): Forge Quinn (1): Araris Tani/Gneorndin (1): Ash (On mobile, sorry for funky formatting) Okay, so, looking back on things, I was totally going into that big read through on the thread with the confirmation bias of Quinn being an elim. I’m really not a fan of AtE (I avoided the thread for awhile because I was frustrated and didn’t want to AtE myself), and find that more often than not elims are the ones that are gonna use the AtE. I’m going to ignore Quinn for now though because I don’t want to deal with that. At least in terms of trying to decide what alignment I think she is. As for the Elandera, I think her dying will give us a lot of info we need. Araris has defended her. I’ve staunchly opposed her for most of this game. Quinn’s flip flopped on her. And everyone else has either avoided her or touched on her. Either way, I think her flip will be greatly revealing.
  2. Quinn. I’m tired of this back and forth that’s going nowhere and I probably did go through the thread with some confirmation bias on Quinn. I probably won’t be on very much for the rest of the cycle. We’re getting ready for Easter lunch soon and then after that I have to drive back to campus. So, to make sure I’ve actually got a vote by the end: Elandera.
  3. I noticed you reminded us of that but forgot to go take that point out of my notes. You wanna confirm if you're actually a highprince or not now? Please don't actually we don't need the elims narrowing down who Elhokar might be, especially this close to ExLo (which is D6 if we don't hit any elims, and that's if the elims don't win at parity). @Condensation (can't quote you for some reason). You could look at the spoiler box in my last post for my reasoning behind voting Quinn.
  4. Okay, I have finally finished going through the thread. I didn't have a whole lot of new thoughts on D3/N3 stuff. It's all in the spoiler box below: Anyway, preliminary thoughts after having done all that: village reads on Tani, Books, Araris, and Ash. Elim reads on Quinn and Elandera. Big ? reads on everyone else. I didn't do anything N3. And I'm sorry if you felt like I'm attacking you or something. For what it's worth, I've got a lot of comments on why I think you're an elim in that spoiler box, if you want to look at them. My suspicion of you isn't so much for the Araris thing, more for what I was seeing as I was reading through the thread. Though the recent Araris stuff is like...the cherry on top of the cake. Though the cake could be a lie, if my analysis is off, and in that case I'm sorry. Anyway, I've spent...way too many hours on this and my brain hurts. I'm going to vibe for the rest of the night. Here's a VC: Elandera (1): TJ Striker (1): Elandera Araris (1): Forge Quinn (3): Araris, Striker, Quinn Again, I'd request that everyone vote on who they think is suspicious and get their thoughts in the thread. It can't just be two or three players battling it out in the thread. That doesn't get us anywhere.
  5. I'm working on the big post that's convincing me more and more that you're an elim, but can't say I'm surprised to see you voting on me now that I'm calling you out It's not so much that I'm calling you out for not also having the same reversal as I've had on Araris. It's that I'm starting to see you as an elim in my mind, and the fact that you're continuing to push for Araris's exe while some of us are starting to realize that he seems more village than elim (obviously not all of us, but I'm not the only one and I started thinking this because of something someone else said) seems like an attempt to keep suspicion on Araris. He's been seen as suspicious throughout most of the game, and continuing to make him seem suspicious would be beneficial for elim!Quinn. Anyway, I guess I'm cool with joining the tie group with you, Quinn.
  6. My thought process for the activity comments was that people have thoughts on you, while not many people have thoughts on Elandera. And even as a villager, the goal is to get exes to happen. If it means compromising with other people, then I'm all for it. And I'm starting to think you're more sus as I'm rereading the thread (gonna post all of those thoughts at once when I'm done) It is because you're pushing Araris's death. I've thought about things since the start of the turn, and I really don't think Araris is an elim, not with the fact that he was explicitly campaigning in the thread for votes on Whysper at the end there, when Whysper wasn't really around (as far as we know, at least) to give her thoughts on a possible bus. Araris seems to be specifically trying to avoid busing teammates who aren't around, and this feels like something he'd explicitly try to avoid. And the fact that you're still pushing on him so hard for this just seems off to me.
  7. I'll take this as a compliment. I'd say that looking at just votes can be pretty informative a lot of the time, yes. However, in this context, Araris's vote has some interesting things in the context around it. Namely in that he was largely encouraging a whole bunch of other players that were around at the time to change their votes to Whysper. There was no reason to try and get other people to vote Whysper with him like that if he was doing the vote on Whysper for simply distancing. Him asking all those people to vote on Whysper with him was an invitation for a bus on Whysper to form because, at least as far as I remember, Whysper wasn't a super viable candidate before Araris even voted. Either Araris was doing some hardcore busing with Whysper (which feels a bit off because I don't think Whysper was online at all at the end there; either Araris just decided to bus her without her consent or there was some weirdness with Whysper telling Araris in the doc that she wanted him to bus her) or Araris is village. And I think your insistence to look at just the votes might be a way to drive an exe on a player that's already had a lot of suspicion throughout the game so far. Plus, with this many players left in the game, and the fact that mostly inactives have been dying to the kill, I could see you being on the elim team. It's certainly not the strongest reasoning, but I feel pretty confident that Araris is village and feel that you are hardcore pushing a narrative against him. Which sets off my alarm bells. Plus, you voted on someone else besides Whysper the turn she died. (Yes, I know I did too; I was worried that the last minute push onto her was being pushed by an elim team trying to save e!Araris or e!Books). I'm basically just trying to go through and make comments about things I disagree with people on, and sometimes agree with them too. There's really not that much to it. It just happens that we've been mind melding for the early parts of this game, but that's happened less and less as the game goes on. That just makes me think that it was just a thing that was happening and not one of us trying to pocket the other by agreeing with them a bunch. I mean...I think that was more because she overreacted whenever I gave my thoughts on her that one point. She was worried about me having a negative read of her for something that she felt would end up with me tunneling on her, so she went hard in on giving me an elim read. And when I didn't double down on my suspicion of her (obviously was a mistake, but oh well), she started to realize that pushing my exe for my read of her that she felt was boxing her in wasn't going to lead to me being exed since I was being reasonable about her response. @TJ Shade: would you be willing to compromise and vote out Quinn (Elandera) with me and Araris? I'm starting to think she's really an elim. I've noticed that elims really tend to get defensive when they're under pressure, and I don't know if I'm reading things wrong, but Quinn is starting to feel defensive to me. Plus I think we'll be more likely to get a safe exe train on her over Elandera, who has been more low profile than Quinn has been. I'm working on going through the thread and making comments as I read, but it's slow going, so I figured I may as well post this before the shard eats it. In the meantime: @Ashbringer @Condensation @Gneorndin @Flyingbooks you guys have any thoughts on who to kill? We have about half of the cycle left, but it never hurts to get your thoughts and votes out early. Vote Count: Elandera (1): TJ Striker (1): Elandera Araris (2): Quinn, Forge Quinn (2): Araris, Striker
  8. Did we just get an elim slip from Quinn? At the time you were making this post, I was definitely still thinking Araris was an elim. I'm less sure about that now, but only because I'm starting to think that you're an elim. I can't decide if Araris's counterpoint is v!Araris calling you out for you shading him a bunch and ignoring some pretty important things (which I forgot about after Whysper died) that he did to get Whysper killed, or e!Araris trying to discredit your valid analysis. I think...I think I'm actually leaning elim on you and village on Araris. Which is a surprise, after I've been tunneling on him all game. I just...I don't think Araris would actively try and get a bunch of people to bus his teammate like that. And you trying to shade him for that while missing the important parts of him trying to get others to vote on Whysper feels like a way to direct the already underlying suspicion of Araris into an exe on him. @Araris Valerian @TJ Shade Would either of you be willing to vote Quinn or Elandera with me? Those are my two elim reads right now. I don't particularly want to vote out a player who just got into the game, and I think getting info on one of those two would help a lot.
  9. I have no idea who to vote for. I'd vote for RandoConnie, but she just got into the game and I'd like to see her do her own thing before I immediately vote her off for her predecessor's actions. As for who I'd like to vote off, I think I'll place a vote on Elandera for now because she also voted to try and save Whysper, even if that wasn't necessarily the stated intention of her vote. I'm going to go through tomorrow and read back through everything, assuming I have time after I get my work and practice and done. I ended up having a lot less time today than I thought I would.
  10. Crackpot theory: Whysper, Araris, Books, and 1 of [Ash/Forge] are the elim team. One of them was going to end up dying today, so they went ahead and bused Whysper since she was the vanilla amongst them (her death confirms the existence of vanillas), and one of Araris or Books is Sadeas. Now, I don't actually believe that, but I think it would be amazing if that was actually the case. For my real thoughts, I do think that Forge, Ash, and Books are temporarily in the clear. I'm not clearing Araris because he's known for busing, even if he's recently said that he's trying to do it less often.
  11. Araris (3): Striker, Quinn, Books Books (3): Whysper, TJ, Ash Quinn (1): Tani TJ Shade (1): Elandera Whysper (1): Araris @Araris Valerian Tagging you because it's a lot easier to copy and paste this in case I lose the post if there's new posts (at the time I'm starting this post, we have 49 minutes left). I'm confused by what you meant by me being happy to follow you onto Archer? I had my own suspicions of him D1, then started trusting him more and more as the game went on, besides for some posts here and there I got caught up on. I believe at one point I said that I kept flip flopping on him, but was primarily reading him village. I probably wouldn't have voted on him, post-D1, unless the game got much further along and he was still alive and I wasn't suspicious of anyone else. As for me being willing to follow people, I will admit that that's mostly what I've been doing. I get on, quickly catch up with what's been said, and vote based on what people have said that's convinced me, and if there was anything from the specific players that my gut felt off about. It's been a really really rough week for me, so I'm just trying to play as well as I can right now. I have a 3 day weekend starting tomorrow, so I'm planning on going through and rereading everything and taking some notes and trying to get an idea for what's happened with the context of the alignments we know by now. However, right now, based on what I can remember and the vibes I'm getting while keeping up with the thread, I'm the most sus of you, Books, maybe Whysper (though I keep flip flopping on her). I trust Quinn, though that could just be because we've been mind melding. I don't know what to make of Tani, I trust Ash (though that's tentative for now), and TJ hasn't really done much for me to get a good read of what's going on with him. Everyone else has also not done a whole lot for me to get a read off of, and I think it's likely that we've got at least one elim in that group. Oh, I forgot to mention Elandera. I'm still sus of her as well, I just don't know for sure on her either way. Anyway, @Gears @forget me not @Random Bystander we've got 40-ish minutes left. Do you have any thoughts on who should die? You should vote. Voting is the best way to let your thoughts be heard, to cause discussion, and to help people make reads off of you.
  12. I mean, disliking it on principle is fair. I'm just a bit frustrated because we have 12 players alive still and it feels like only 3-4 (not including me) are somewhat regularly talking. I'm mostly just trying to get people to at least get on and say something. Preferably vote on someone, because seeing where someone votes is a much better way of gauging what's going on with a player than them just coming on and saying some stuff and not voting. But also, I completely understand you saying you'll vote later. This isn't a gripe with you, just me wishing more people would vote.
  13. Araris (2): Striker, Quinn Books (2): Whysper, Araris Quinn (1): Tani TJ Shade (1): Elandera We've got less than a day left in this cycle and only half of us have voted and the thread isn't even 3 pages yet, which feels low for a D3 of an LG. @Gears @Random Bystander @Ashbringer @Flyingbooks @forget me not @TJ Shade do you guys have any thoughts on who we should exe? Any strong opposition to the current exe candidates? Any alternatives if you do oppose? Who do you trust? What event do you think the Highprinces should trigger next? Literally anything works, whatever thoughts first come to mind. You don't have to be able to go through and read everything and form an opinion that way. Anyway, I'm starting to have the sinking suspicion that we're completely on the wrong track when it comes to suspicions. I'd be willing to vote off Books, simply because there's some decent evidence against them and I honestly think a Contribution Crusade™ couldn't hurt right now, with the lack of content we're getting at this point. I just worry about changing my vote now because it'd put Books at 3 votes and every other alternate at 1. Even if I have a candidate I'd like exed, that doesn't mean I want it uncontested. If it's uncontested, we're doing something wrong. Either that or the elim team has decided to bus someone.
  14. Rip me, but I’m glad it all worked out. Don’t even worry about it. I didn’t give you many opportunities to Coinshoot me. I’m sure you would’ve eventually if I’d survived. Anyway, for those who aren’t aware, which...I don’t know is anyone honestly. Anyway, D2 I had this grand plan of using atium at the last minute and then seeing who targeted me (if anyone), redirecting them, then claiming them to the thread and claiming Vin. I did most of that. Besides the important part, which was actually submitting the action in. Anyway, besides for my early death, I had a lot of fun when I was alive and while I was watching in the dead doc. This surely was one of the most exciting games I’ve been apart of in awhile. And even though it was a faction game, it didn’t overly break! Huzzah!
  15. ...I forgot that that happened first. I wanna ask him what that meant once the game is over because that's confusing me. I mean, that's completely fair. I'm normally used to having people call me out on everything I say as well, so it is nice to have some people agree with me about things. To be fair, the tie thing stemmed from you calling me out on wanting the tie earlier in the Day and then deciding to break a tie, so I was just like, "you know, maybe I should just go for the tie because that's what I was being called out for, and I don't want to be a hypocrite." I can understand not trusting me, especially if I keep surviving. It's not very often I last awhile in a game when I'm a villager.
  16. I mean...I'd like to be able to say something in response to your suspicion of me. For what it's worth, we're allowed to talk about games that have already ended. We just can't talk about ongoing games except for in their threads, docs, or PMs. I definitely meant the first cycle. I was tired when I wrote that post and didn't reread what I wrote. And I'm not trying to tunnel on you, I've just got no leads besides you, in terms of my suspicions. I guess maybe Whysper or Elandera. If none of you three are elims, though, I don't know where to look besides that. I'm really not trying to set up a whole bunch of misgrinches. I'm just voting where I think things make the most sense. But, also, after sleeping on it, I'm not even sure my vote staying on you makes the most sense anymore. I'm just really confused. Probably just from him outing himself. Someone felt like it was worth taking him out since was a confirmed highprince basically. Does make me worried with how many highprinces are dead so far. It could be that the elims are trying to go for control of the events completely. And by eliminating the other highprinces, they know exactly where to look for Elhokar or the Assassin, if we have one. Assuming we started with 9 highprinces, that means that there are 5 left right now. And, depending on the distribution, the elims could already have control over the events now. If they have 3 highprinces, they already outnumber the village highprinces. If they have 2, then they just need to kill one more and they at least have parity, and could probably just convince one of the other two highprinces to vote with them. To any remaining village highprinces: don't claim at this point. We need you alive and to continue voting on events that will help the village. Plus, your deaths will help narrow down the pool for the Assassin and Elhokar. I mean, I am really trying to figure things out. Why do you feel like I'm trying to misguide you guys? Is it the certainty in which I frame my ideas and points and stuff? I do that mostly because I think strong opinions and strong words puts pressure on people (which can get elims to get antsy and slip up), and it causes more discussion, even if it's just to call me out on messing something up. I can understand if it feels a bit like I'm trying to mayor or lead you guys down certain paths though.
  17. There sure are a lot of highprinces dying, apparently. Anyway, at least one of my reads was right this game, even if I occasionally flip flopped on him. Anyway, Araris. I'm not a fan of how his votes have played out this cycle and I still think he could be an elim, even if Dannex wasn't one.
  18. So, looking back at things, it might actually be a good idea to go ahead and activate Political Vengeance now. I didn't realize it lasts for 2 whole cycles until I just looked back at the rules. Getting that out of the way now actually makes sense. Because we'll be stuck with ties killing everyone that's been tied for D3 and D4. But we definitely need to do Democracy! next, to get some items in the hands of the village. Which I think is good for us, especially if a bunch of players start dying off soon because ties kill everyone.
