  1. Probably Iron Compounder. It'd be really cool to be able to increase my weight so drastically, that I could probably pull down an entire plane during the modern era Mistborn books. That'd actually be a terrifying, if a terrorist group had something like that. Would you rather be a Steel Compounder or a Petwer Compounder?
  2. Sorry, for the double post, but whatever. @The Flash @Hemalurgic_Headshot @Dragon314 @The One Who Connects @King Cole @Unodus (Just tell me if any of you want me to stop tagging you when I update this) I'm almost finished with the map. I'm mostly pleased with how it turned out, but it doesn't look the most pleasing to the eye, mainly because I just sort of scribble colored, and it's definitely not the best blending between regions. Of course, if I ever published this book, that'd be up to the artist, not me. I'm definitely not an artist.
  3. Hola, ¡Bienvenidos al 17th Shard! Have an upvote. No le escuche a Shqueeves, the cookies are spiked delicious!
  4. Hey, welcome to the Shard! Have an upvote, and don't listen to @Shqueeves, have a cookie! It's perfectly spiked safe! As for the roleplay, Shqueeves is right, the roleplay section is what you're looking for. Also, which Cosmere book is your favorite? Which magic system is you right favorite?
  5. Oh...whoops. My bad. If it's misting, then I'd rather be an Electrum misting, as I could see how certain decisions would play out, depending on my choices. As cool as Gold would be, I'd rather not have a (mostly) useless power. Would you rather be a Leecher or a Nicroburst?
  6. I promise I won't. *disappears*
  7. Is it too late to do this? Oh well. Trapper: First of the Night Vorin: Etanatel (similar to my actual name, then made almost symmetrical) Shin: Ethan-son-Randy Korathi: Lenorehe (I chose Aon Ehe at first because I really enjoy music, and musicians are a type of artists. Then Ore became a part of it kind of accident, but it works because I usually tend to go with the flow, like water) Returned: Worldbringer (This is because I love bringing the worlds I create to life. At least, I would love to do that in actual books, but I'm limited to just my imagination and when I occasionally post world ideas here) Threnodite: William Bridgeham Kandra: ReNuur
  8. Well, I don't think it necessarily has anything to do with how he practiced drawing the Aons. Yes, he was the first Shaod Elantrian to practice AonDor, but he was definitely not the only one. By the end of the book, several other Elantrians had been practicing as well, and now of the other ones had the glowing or immense pain like Raoden had. I'm not good with this whole theorizing thing, so I'll let others poke and prod at your theory, but I still don't think that's the case. I just don't know what is.
  9. The possibilities for a Brass/Zinc combo could potentially be endless. You could tap your mental speed to make super precise Soothings and be able to tell exactly how someone is feeling, so you would know exactly which emotions to Soothe, which to leave alone, etc. A Pewter/Electrum combo would be pretty cool, as you could just become a non-stop killing machine, and even if your pewter runs out or someone Leeches your pewter, you'd still have your determination to keep you going a little bit longer, or at least until you could get more pewter. Electrum/Zinc would be really cool, as you'd be able to see what was gonna happen to you, and have the mental capacity to take this info and choose the best possible path to take, as well as predict what your opponent will do. In addition, depending on how far forward Electrum shadows go, you could apply this to ordinary decisions, like which type of food to eat, which path to take, etc.
  10. Definitely Gold. Because then I'd last a little longer than I would normally last. Of course, it'd be hard without compounding, but I'd just spend a couple years filling, then slowly tap it for the rest of my life to live a long, healthy life. Would you rather be a Mistborn with one vial of each metal (about five minutes for each metal and one minute for atium) or a Windrunner with enough Stormlight to last you twenty minutes without using it?
  11. Definitely an Aviar. That short story was so cool, and I loved the magic and the world and everything. Would you rather be a Zinc or a Bronze ferring?
  12. You know you're a Sanderfan when you think of Investiture every time you see or hear the word 'invest.'
  13. Oh...sorry, I forgot about the two post rule, sorry. Hurt Abrasion, Heal Gravitation Gravitation -- 26 Abrasion -- 12
  14. Okay, the biggest problem you have right here is that what Adolin and other Shardbearers have are dead Shardblades-their Soren are 'dead' so to speak, so they can't give powers (of course, they wouldn't if they were alive, as they probably wouldn't be Nahel bonded to most Shardbearers), while the blade that Szeth had until Kaladin took it was an Honorblade, a similar blade to Shardblades, but it was designed by Honor himself to give the Heralds Surgebinding powers, so that's how he does it.
  15. On the topic of embarrassing stories.... My freshman year in high school, I can't exactly remember when it was, but after either a football game or some marching band contest, we were changing out of our uniforms (late at night, the directors didn't care if we changed out of the uniforms in the band hall-everyone usually wore shorts or compression shorts underneath anyway), and I realized I had forgot a pair of pants to change into, so I was just in my compression shorts (which are very unflattering, and kind of revealing, if you've ever worn them). So, my dad had the wonderful idea of bringing me his jacket because he was already at the school and didn't want to go home and bring me up a pair of pants. So, instead of being sensible and just wrapping the jacket around my waist to cover up, I followed the advice of this senior who said to try and stick my legs though the arm holes. I realized one second in that wasn't gonna work, but not before I got stuck in them for a little bit and one of the sophomores noticed and pointed me out to a couple of her friends, after the senior pointed me out to her. Needless to say, I made a very rude gesture to that senior. Moral of the story, always remember your pants.
  16. Yo, what am I?
  17. Nah, you're not a freak. I just grew out of the habit, though I made a new one where I tend to stay up into the wee hours of the night reading instead of sleeping.
  18. Today was our last day of mini band camp! Today was the worst, physically, because now I'm soooooo sore. Like, everything hurts. But it was so fun. At the end, we ran through all three movements of our show. Of course, we weren't going anywhere near full tempo, but it was still cool to hear what it sounded like played by actual instruments, not computer versions. I'm so excited for summer band come August.
  19. There's only one metal available because that's just how the dice were played. I can't remember exactly how it works, but the number of available metals is randomized, and so are the metals that are available. Also, did stick ever claim to be spiked? Or am I just creating memories in my head? I could've sworn she had claimed to be spiked, but I could be mixing up her with someone else.
  20. Oh, that's cool. Though, I'm pretty sure I won't have to march bass clarinet. My band director specifically told me that he doesn't want to march basses, as they're really hard to take care of when marching them, marching bass clarinets are usually pretty crappy models anyway, and you can barely even hear them on the field, unless they're mic'd up.
  21. Oh, we do auditions for the middle school band directors near the end of 5th grade, and they try us out on a few different instruments and pick which one they think we sounded the best on. Mr. Nelson, my former middle school director (he retired after my 6th grade year) put my on clarinet. I'm glad he did, because I really like bass clarinet, now that I've switched to it. Though, it sucks that I have to go back to regular clarinet for marching season.
  22. For some reason, I keep wanting to pair Allomantic Steel/Allomantic Bendalloy...if only. Anyway, if you had Gold/Copper, how could that work? Could you burn gold, then start filling the coppermind? Could you make it that you only remember one of the gold shadows' memories? A Cadmium/Bendalloy Twinborn could just store lots of energy, then make a bubble somewhere secluded and wait awhile for the next Sanderson book to come out.... Tin/Steel would be a crazy speedy spy. Of course, what they might catch of certain events could be a bit blurry, considering how fast they go.
  23. Oh...sorry for my rant then. Also, that's cool. My little brother is learning how to play that, and that's what I wanted to play going into middle school band.
  24. Is? Also, when? Seriously though, who?
