  1. @hwiles I've always thought about what a Bronze Compounder could be useful for, but I never thought of it like that. Upvotes for making a cool idea! I think what you're describing in your second post though is talking more about what a Zinc Compounder could do, not necessarily bronze, except for the lack of sleep part. Anyway, I wanted to make a couple combos myself. What could a Brass Compounder do? I can't remember the exact WoB, but I think that it's been mentioned by Brandon that you become resistant to the effects of your feruchemy, there is a point where tapping too much would be a problem. I'm not sure how much heat you'd have to tap for that to become a major problem, but a Brass Compounder could be insane. Just compound tons of heat, while wearing fire-resistant clothing that leaves stuff like your hands, face, and feet uncovered, and you become a living furnace kind of. You probably can't go too hot, but you could definitely get hot enough to give sever burns to other people while you fight them. And if you're hot enough, all the heat escaping from your fingertips would be enough to burn clothes and stuff, assuming you can tap that much heat without dying. A gold feruchemy spike would be useful.... Oh, a Petwer/Brass combo could be interesting. They definitely couldn't get as hot as a Brass Compounder could, but that flame-resistant suit would be just as useful for this combo too. Plus they'd have the increased strength of a thug to help back it up.
  2. @Cluny the Scourge Yeah, why does everyone hate the Aviar so much? They're probably my favorite single magic system. I love the combination of Allomancy and Feruchemy together in the Twinborn, but neither of them by themselves hold up to the Aviar, in my opinion.

Okay, I started reading Brandon Sanderson a couple years ago after my middle school librarian recommended Steelheart to me. Man, I loved that series. Anyway, after that, I read The Rithmatist, another really good book (What'd you expect? It's Sanderson), and then I forgot about him for a few years until right before the start of this year, when I was bored and searched up stuff about The Reckoners and found this website. I joined for The Reckoners, then discovered the Cosmere, and devoured the first Mistborn trilogy. After that, I read Elantris, Warbreaker, White Sand (which is a graphic novel), all of the short stories from Arcanum Unbounded that were not set on Scadrial/Roshar (the world of The Stormlight Archive), Mistborn Era 2 (Wax and Wayne), Secret History (from Arcanum Unbounded), and finally, The Stormlight Archive. You don't have to read it in that order, but I recommend reading SA last. Like @Calderis said, there's so many hints and secrets to the Cosmere in that book, I'd recommend reading it last so you can (attempt to) catch those secrets as you read. For the rest of the Cosmere books, I don't really recommend any order, just pick and choose which ones you think you'll like best!
  4. Heal Feruchemy, Hurt Surgebinding Allomancy - 4 HP Feruchemy - 4 HP Surgebinding - 2 HP
  5. Thanks for mentioning that, have an upvote! That's basically how I feel right now.
  6. Hurt Feruchemy, Heal Allomancy Allomancy - 6 HP Feruchemy - 6 HP Surgebinding - 7 HP
  7. True, we know so little of them, but Adolin just fits Edgedancers so well (from what we've seen at least), and Renarin, a Truthwatcher, just seems so different from Adolin, it seems unlikely they'd have the same order. It's not impossible, I guess, but unlikely.
  8. Ugh, okay, I guess we all overreacted a bit on STINK. I guess I'll vote Straw, though I still don't like what STINK did at all. At some point, it might be a good idea to lynch him, though I do agree that right now it'd be a waste when we have the chance to (possibly) lynch an elim.
  9. You're a very delightful person! *groans are heard from across the entire world* Seriously though, you're pretty awesome.
  10. Okay, that was a jerky move on STINK's part. I don't think there's really anyone else that we need to lynch, and I agree that it would be best to lynch him, because if he's blackmailing players like that, that is NOT okay. Plus, he'd probably steal some other metals that the village could really use, even if he doesn't steal steel (heh) again. But still, that was uncalled for, especially since he knew of other allomancers (apparently). Anyway, from what I've heard, it sounds like STINK would probably reveal my role anyway, so I'll do it myself. I'm a tineye. I burned tin for the first night and now I have two charges left. I didn't burn tin for last night, so that means there's at least one other tineye out there. Unless another tineye out there has more charges than I do (and wants to come out about it, which is unlikely), I'm planning on on burning tin for tonight.

  12. Okay, I really like this theory. I'm not sure if it's been confirmed or not, but this really needs to be asked for Brandon. I just wanted to clarify, we don't know for sure that Hoid uses feruchemy. All we know is that he uses a similar mechanic to storing/tapping Fortune, but it's not exactly feruchemy.
  13. Aww, sadly, I don't know you (unless I welcomed you in a topic somewhere else, in which case, sorry). From this one post, you seem pretty cool. So I gave you an upvote!

  15. Hey, I'm here. Sorry for not showing up. I'll post more later, once I've got some sleep, but for now, @Yitzi2 don't use cytonics against me tonight.

  20. I said this in the LG, but I'll repeat it here. My mom just had back surgery, and my grandpa and some of my aunts/cousins came up, so I've been busy with that today. Plus, my grandpa is taking my little brother and I to his house, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have wifi. I'll us my hotspot every now and then to check up on this and do any actions I need to, but don't expect me to post very much (not like I have been anyway lol).
  21. Well, would you look at that! Good job team! We actually got an elim on the second day. That's pretty good. Anyway, @Dalinar Kholin What are you talking about with my vote? I voted Asterion after Aman explains the reasoning behind the vote on him, then when Aman gave what I thought was a better reasoning to vote Yitzi, I switched. I think that's what happened, but I can't remember. Also, my mom had back surgery today, and my grandpa and some of my aunts/cousins have come up here, so I've been fairly busy today. I'm actually leaving with my grandpa to go to his house until the Fourth of July, so I'll be fairly inactive because I don't think he has wifi, though I'll use my hotspot every now and then to check up on this to vote and do any actions I need to. I'll be on for the next couple hours though.
  22. I did it because I wanted to. And that's a secret.
  23. Yeah, it really is cool when stuff like that just kind of clicks into place. The Cosmere is a lot bigger than it seems at first glance in the books. Sadly, I didn't get to experience realizing that Vasher and Zahel were the same person, because I saw that before I read Stormlight, but it was cool noticing the fact that they're the same.
