Which book has been your favorite so far?

Heh That's a fun page number there. -
Greetings, Fellow SanderFans (and an unrelated Question)

DISCLAIMER: Side effects include, but are not limited to, hearing voices, gaining supernatural powers, having the sudden urge to kill everyone, and completely losing control over your mind and body. The Dark Alley™ claims no liability for any damage done to/by the eater of this cookie. Yeah, lots of people read the Malazan series here. I haven't read about it, but I've heard about it. Anyway, which Cosmere book is your favorite? -
Hi fellow Sharders (or what do we call ourselves).

Yes! Warbreaker is one of my favorites too! It's so good, and pretty underrated in my opinion, though it does have more fans than Sixth of the Dusk. -

Hey, welcome to the Shard, @Bridgerunner! I'm sorry, I've run out of upvotes for today, but have a free spiked delicious cookie! DISCLAIMER: Side effects include, but are not limited to, hearing voices, gaining supernatural powers, having the sudden urge to kill everyone, and completely losing control over your mind and body. The Dark Alley™ claims no liability for any damage done to/by the eater of this cookie. Also, it's fine that you joined the site late. I discovered Sanderson's YA books several years ago, but only recently discovered this site and the Cosmere and became a true sanderfan. Also, which Cosmere book is your favorite! -

Oh, okay, that makes more sense, I guess. Also, no, I don't. I'm still relatively new to SE
-
Yeah, I guess if you're able to plan for every character that could be suggested, then that makes sense. I just think it'd be smart to plan out, say, 30 characters and let people who sign up pick out of those 30.
-
You're welcome! My mind was blown when I realized this as well, because it makes sense. Especially when combined with some WoBs we have about how that shard acts.
-
A popular idea is that Trell was a religion planted by a certain shard. Kind of like a sleeper agent. So, when this Shard wanted to come back and mess with a planet, they would already have a religion they could just take over and have pawns to do their bidding.
-
Yeah, I know it is highly likely that they are the same thing, but we can't state it as fact without it being explicitly stated. I honestly have no idea what the red haze is, but I doubt it's Trell. I think it might be something else entirely, but I don't know what.
-
I know Gavilar received the visions as well. I was just wondering if he received them during Highstorms as well, because I don't think it was ever explicitly mentioned. I mean, you would think someone would've noticed their king disappearing during every Highstorm like Dalinar did. Someone would've send something about the fact that both Gavilar and Dalinar hid inside their rooms during Highstorms.
-
Well, his resources are going to stop the red haze or whatever it's called, not Trell. They could be the same thing, and several people believe they are, but I don't think it's been confirmed.
-
Ah, okay. Hmm...it'd be nice if we had specific dates for the start of the books. Also, do we know if Gavilar received the visions during the Highstorms as well? Could that just be how Dalinar receives them? Or do you think that's how the visions have to be received?
-
@Flash I think the idea would be pretty cool. I think it might be easier to just make who gets which superhero randomized though. Choosing superheroes could get out of hand, and people might go out of their way to pick obscure heroes to get less-developed powers and possibly broken powers. It'd be a lot easier to balance the game with predetermined superheroes. You could make a list of which heroes are available and have sign-ups for those heroes though. Also, when did you change your username? It was weird because I couldn't tag you using The Flash lol
-
Hmmm...was it ever specified when he started receiving them? I can't really remember, but I think it just said that he'd been having them for awhile before the start of the book. He'd had a couple before WoK even started, I think.

That'd actually be really funny. Also, I'm a sanderfan because I've started recommending his books to everyone. -

10/10 I like that quote. It's a good, helpful quote. -
Hmm...I never paid all that much attention to those, and I never noticed that one before. Sounds a lot like a proto-Bondsmith, but I dunno. Why would a random potter become a Bondsmith? EDIT: I just thought of something. Do we know if Gavilar received the visions during Higstorms, or could that just have been Dalinar's way of receiving them?
-
Yeah, that was my second thought. But my first was "Why would a bear-rat like children and hug them and stuff?" For some reason I thought it was like as in liking something, not liking the taste of something.
-
For some reason I read this as "Do the bear-rats like children?" I was severely confused.
