  1. Even better. Maybe you'll become Invested because of all the Cosmere food.
  2. Okay, that's true. But I have no money, so that's the only reason I don't already own them all. If I had money, I'd own all of his books. Also, you know there's a problem when WoK and WoR are too tall to fit on your bookshelf.
  3. When you get birthday money and the first thing you think about doing is buying WoK and WoR. I should reread them at some point, but I'm to old busy with band and school right now.
  4. I can sightread really well on clarinet, though I'm not as good at it on saxophone, mainly because I haven't had time to learn it very well. Q: How many conductors does it take to screw in a light bulb? A: No one knows, no one ever looks at them. Q: whats the differance between a pianist and god? A: god doesn't think he's a pianist
  5. I chose Steelheart because that book was made to be a movie. Also, Steelheart is not Cosmere.
  6. You're an awesome mod and programmer, and your signature still freaks me out a little every time I see it. I think it's only ever guessed me correct once, but it's usually pretty close.
  7. I can't speak for him, but in my experience it's really stressful because teachers, at least in higher level classes like AP classes, there's lots of homework given and it's hard to keep track of it all, especially if you're in any extracurriculars. I know I get stressed about school all the time. @Darkness Ascendant I know, that really put my faith back in humanity when it happened.
  8. Thank you. Yeah, I know, as sad as I, and the entire band was, the crazy amount of love and everything and hugs....it was something to see and to be a part of, definitely. Right as the meeting ended, a huge group of people made a very big hug circle around him and we cried together and supported him and....I'm just so sad right now and tired, I don't even know what I'm writing anymore. There was a point to that response, but I forgot it.
  9. So, something really bad happened in the band recently. Last Saturday, there was a clarinet section breakfast at IHOP, and I was sitting next to one of the leaders when she started crying. I asked her what was wrong, and she said a friend of her's mom got in a car wreck and was in a coma. I found out today that the friend was one of the tuba section leaders and that his mom passed away. During the meeting we had after the football game, our band director, with his permission, gave a speech about it. He told a story about a kid in the band from several years ago who's sister, a cheerleader, died in a car wreck after a football game. Our director said that the kid showed up to rehearsal the next day, and when he was asked if he felt he need to leave, he said, "No, where else would I be." The fact that the band meant so much to that kid, that the band take so care of each so well, it really means a lot. After the meeting, the amount of love and support that the tuba got was astounding. I can't even imagine what he must be going through, but I know that he'll always have the entire band to help him and cheer him on.
  10. Q: How many clarinets does it take to screw in a lightbulb? A: One, but they'll go through an entire box before they find the right one.
  11. Where has this been all my life?
  12. Well, I thought Striker sounded cool and my inititials are ES. EZ sounds cooler, so I used that instead.
  13. Ah, that's cool. My username doesn't have that cool of a backstory lol It's really good, you should totally check it out.
  14. Hmm...I'm not sure if they do I think through that app, but I know they do ebooks. I wouldn't be able to check those out either because of the fines. I'll just use some of my leftover birthday money to pay the fines next time I can go to the library...which will be a while.
  15. Hmm...I'm not sure how to explain it. It kind of has a vanilla taste to it (at least the good kind does), but it's basically just another one of those drinks like Coke or Dr. Pepper. Have you heard of cream soda?
  16. Oh, I just came up with an idea for a QF based on Sixth of the Dusk. It might actually be better as a MR.
  17. Yeah, it's pretty good. The last book came out recently, and I'm sad because I can't read it yet.
  18. Oh, please do. It's one of my favorite book series out there that wasn't written by Sanderson. Oh, have you heard of Jackaby by William Ritter? It's pretty cool. It's like a fantasy Sherlock Holmes set in a mid 1800s New England with a badchull female protagonist.
  19. Oh my gosh, it's out already?!?! AHHHHHHHH I need it, but I've be been stupid lately and returned so many books late and now have lots of fines and can't check out books because of it. This is a travesty.
  20. Oh, duh. I forgot that those were the first and middle names. I did remember that Calderis was a name of one of your characters, though. Sounds pretty accurate, I guess. Have you read the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix? It's really good.
  21. When earbuds get all tangled up or when you're walking past something and the earbuds get caught up on it and fall out of your ears.
  22. Where are those names from? Also, how do you manage to make so many posts so quickly? You have well over twice as many as I do.
  23. Eh, not a fan of either. My favorite soda used to be Dr. Pepper or Root Beer, but I've been forgoing soda for awhile now because of marching band. Cant really say as I never read them. Not sure, though I finished the first two SA books in about a week's time.
  24. @Extesian How'd you come up with your username? Have you read the Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix?
  25. @Shqueeves How did you come up with your username?
