  1. Yeah. I think a hazekiller is defined as "A person with no powers trained to fight allomancers"
  2. He's right. A Shardblade stays if you will it to stay.
  3. Just so you know, all your arguments are fine. I don't agree with them, but I respect them. But this is just bad. Assuming without proof that i think my position is wrong? I'm sorry, but i think that earns a downvote.
  4. Soulcasting is just as much a product of matter as Life. They both work by manipulating the bonds between matter. And you still haven't dealt with my point that nearly every other magic enhances Life (Allomancy, Feruchemy, and AonDor directly, AonDor, Awakening, and all Surgebinding indirectly).
  5. Basic rules as I understand them: Steelpushing generates a force of intensity X. As per the Third Law of Motion, this generates an equal push on the metal and the Allomancer. By the Second Law of Motion, this means that the acceleration of the metal relative to the accleration of the Allomancer is iversely proportionate to their respective weights. Mathematically: aallomancer/ametal = mmetal/mallomancer.
  6. sans pickles, defenestrated
  7. I'd love to play, but i've never played D&D and don't know any of the terms or specific rules.
  8. Because snuzzlebunnies snuzzle.
  9. I don't think that makes sense. Feruchemy is the power of balance. What you put in, you get out, and what you get out, you must have put in. It doesn't seem to me that it could produce "savants" the same way Allomancy (which uses an external source of power) does.
  10. So i observe that most voters are going with "there's always another secret", presumably because it sounds really neat without meaning anything.
  11. Yeah. By my count, Kelsier has come back from the dead at least three times so far, and maybe a fourth in AoL
  12. think: "Pretzels good."
  13. Agreed there. My disagreement was with your idea that Endowment is all good.
  14. What i meant was that if Christianity is true, it is of literally infinite importance. If it were false, it would of course be of no importance whatsoever.
  15. turned into pineapples.
  16. My sister can do that too. It works the way she wants aobut 95% of the time.
  17. Christian theology is "true" in that it is an accurate description of the origin of the universe, the origin of sin, the nature of right and wrong, the cure for our evils, etc. Incidentally, by saying that my beliefs do not matter, you are saying that they are wrong. (not on purpose, probably, but the one follows from the other.)
  18. No. In the same way that the Surge of Gravity is the force that pulls things towards the ground, the Surge of Life is the force that keeps your body running and is responsible for natural healing.
  19. I don't think any Shard is all good or all bad. For example, Endowment can be used to do some pretty mean things (vis. Alcatraz w/ Bestower's Lenses).
  20. Well, we know that the Second Ideal Kaladin speaks is based on protection, which is a Windrunner attribute.
  21. I'm pretty sure that quote says he gave it to Elokahar to give to somebody else whom Elokhar thought needed it. In other words, Elokhar got the Shards, but not to use for himself.
  22. Pressure isn't a fundamental force either, it's a side-effect of molecular distribution. And the Surge of Transformation works by manipulating chemical bonds. Furthermore, the enhancemnet of these biochemical processes is almost universal in Shard-magics. Pewter and Tin Allomancy both enhance the natural biochemical processes. Gold Feruchemy stores "healing", which is almost exactly the same thing as the Surge of Life. Cadmium and bendalloy feruchemy both manipulte biochemical reactions, as does tium feruchemy. Aditionally, Elantrians, Surgebinders, and Awakeners all gain enhanced healing as an aspect of their power. I think it highly probable that Life is something that Shard-magics will affect.
  23. Could you rephrase this? Because i'm not sure whether I disagree with this, let alone how.
  24. Could you give me a citation on this? I though Elokahar did get Gavilar's armor and Blade, especially since the Blade is named.
  25. Dominion and Devotion are opposites, but they are opposite in such a way that they add rather than subtract. Think about it. If you are Devoted to somebody, they will find it easier to have Dominion over you, and if you have Dominion over somebody, they are Devoted to your service. So when these two come together they reinforce each other rather than canceling out.
