  1. Based on Brandon's predilection for MTG, I'm going to guess that this functions something like the MTG pentagram (each Essence is similar to the two next to it and exactly opposite from the one accross.
  2. In the case of Awakened metal, I suspect you'd end up with ten thousand Breaths.
  3. I think Nightblood and the Shardblade would do nothing to each other, just like two Shardblades
  4. If I had to guess, I'd say that Atium is probably composed of subatomic particles, but different subatomic particles than you encounter anywhere else.
  5. Lerasium's default setting is "Mistborn". You have to know how to rewrite your sDNA if you want to get it to do anything else.
  6. It's second-order canon (from the MAG.) So it should be held as proven until explicitly stated otherwise.
  7. I'm going to propose that Danlan is actually Chaos, who has tracked Hoid to the Plains but doesn't know who he is from there.
  8. I think Alcatraz picked an annoying voice on purpose. Remember, the entire point of these books is to convince us that he's not a nice person.
  9. +1 for funny
  10. Here's a theory on this. 1. All matter is an altered form of energy (known scientific fact) Therefore, i propose the following. 2. All non-divine matter on Scadrial is composed of "normal" energy (the same kind as in our world.) 3. Atium and Lerasium are composed of the energy of their Shards.
  11. Proposed new Form Drinling The Drinling form tends to be small and stocky, with coppery eyes. Unlike most forms, this one does not require energy to sustain. In fact, spending any amount of time in Drinling Form leaves the Spheremorph fully rested when he transitions out. Form Abilities Almost infinite endurance Immunity to poison or disease. No need to eat or sleep Ultrafast healing The Cost The remarkable powers of the Drinling Form bring with them a bizarre cost. While in this form, the Spheremorph ages approximately forty times faster than normal. Prolonged use of this Form can shave years or even decades off of the user's life.
  12. The Parshendi told the Alethi that they were the ones who had killed Gavilar after the fact. It's mentioned a few times.
  13. I have a thought: Could this be a hybrid between Dominion and a splinter of Deception? Seems to fit in with what we know so far about the magic.
  14. I have an alternate theory to propose. Alright, my theory is that, just as the molecular structure of a Feruchemical metal allows an attribute to "stick" to it, the gem's molecular structure acts as a tiny "hook" that catches a bit of stormlight. The bigger the gem, the more hooks, and the more light is caught. Furthermore, I propose that what the Nahel bond does is that it alters a person's Spiritual/Cognitive presence to allow him to "grab" Stormlight. Because he can pull on Light a lot harder than gems, he can pull it out of gems.
  15. I'd like to propose the Shiny Spoon award, for having one of your theories declared Exceptionally Shiny by Commander Spoonface. And the Storyteller award for writing a fanfic.
  16. A thought I just had: one Archivist could actually inherit another's stored memories via the following process. 1. Old Archivist kills self with copper spike, creating a Hemalurgic spike. 2. Young Archivist implants that spike in himself, granting him the ability to use the Old Archivist's copperminds. 3. Young Archivist taps all the Old Archivist's memories, then stores them again. 4. Young Archivist removes spike and gives it to the Immortals for earring-making. The stored memories now "belong" to the Young Archivist.
  17. Agreed. Atium isn't a conventional element at all. It's pure Ruinous matter (which is probably why it tarnishes and deforms so easily.)
  18. Actually, Arsteel did return as a Lifeless. He's Clod. On the other issue, there is a way for God Kings to bear children, but we don't know what it is. And Susebron is basically in charge of everything in Hallendren now. He has control of the world's most powerful army, has virtually infinite power, and the entire county literally worships him.
  19. I think they didn't put in an alteration code because they didn't think it was possible. Remember, Lifeless can have their commands changed because they have a human brain. Nightblood doesn't. And Nightblood's command does only activate when he's drawn, remember?
  20. Exactly!
  21. Agreed. And a completely random guess as to Harmonium's Allomantic effect: burning it in conjunction with another metal causes the other metal to release its feruchemical energy instead of its allomantic.
  22. Of course Brandon is Adonalsium! it's basic philosophy!
  23. If you're actually going to make a story with this as the first line, you'd better explain what it means fast. As in, the same paragraph fast. I like this one.
  24. That's why i put in the subtitle.
  25. Alright, so we know that one Feruchemist can't get at another Feruchemist's stored attributes. But what about the physical metalminds themselves? How are they affected by storage? For example, suppose that after Tindwyl's death, Sazed had decided to keep one of her zincminds as a memento. Suppose further that the metalmind had a maximum capacity of 100 charges, and Tindwyl had already stored 20 charges in it. I can think of three possible cases. 1. Sazed's and Tindwyl's attributes are unrelated, so Sazed can store the full 100 charges. 2. Tindwyl's 20 charges add onto any Sazed stores, so he can store 80 charges. 3. Tindwyl's charges mark the metalmind as hers, and Sazed can't store in it at all.
