However badly the village played this game, I personally feel I played a lot better than I did in LG34. As soon as I was able to be active, I was constantly trying to solve the game, while not getting as excitable. Until the last day where I was panicking. And I don't know if you noticed, but I am a HUGE fan of my analysis document. It makes things a lot easier, and perhaps if I had known how to use it better, it could have been a lot more useful. No ones told me it's not allowed, so I assume it is... Anyway I certainly learned a lot about strategy this game. Whether elim or village in the future, I plan on being a lot more smart, and maybe more successful in my play style.

Can I mention how stressed out I was during that last day? I was more or less trying to consider every single angle. All day. You might have been laughing, but I was stressing. A lot.

Ill get around to it today. I was also planning on doing another one today.

If it helps, I really believed you reflected village once I got more involved in the game. After you died. I think this game has changed how I'm going to approach my suspicions. I think next real elimination game (faction game and blackout games I'm not counting lol) I'm going to create another analysis document. It was helpful. And yes, I have some new strategies for how to find elims. The elims have become better at hiding. I think Amans strategies probably have the most merit. I'll be taking those to heart in the future.

Having a Bad Day?: Get 'yer Hugs here!!
Steeldancer replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
I don't even know what to say. That's awful. I've been keeping an eye on what you've been saying, and I know how bad you have it. I really wish I could personally do something to help, because my heart goes out to anyone in a situation like yours. As great as hugs are, you sound like you need something more permanent. It almost sounds to me like you need to move out. It's all I can really think of for the moment, and it's probably not a great or a viable idea. But personally I find it easier to deal with the crem life throws at you if you really invest in something worthwhile. A project. A book. Heck, even schoolwork (as much as I hate that). But whatever you choose to do, I'm pretty sure I can speak for every one here that we are here to support you in whatever way we can. -
I rioted your vote moments before my phone turned off. I had no time to consider properly. I can't wait to see the elim doc. How did you guys fool us so well?

I KNEW IT. Elims, wow. You totally had us. Arinian was an elim? Gosh darn it. I should have voted on Araris. But I was right about PK!!!!!! And stick must have been a smoker. Darn.

I was thinking of tenatively naming my Princess Bride game "An Asian Land War." Bearing no effect on the actual place of the game (which will probably be storming the castle).

Thank you!

I'm so sick of lies and stuff. You're an elim. There are 4 elims left, and there are 5 people that would be cleared before you. You are evil. Araris, if you are village, I'm asking you to listen to me and help me with this lynch. And PK, I've been explaining my thought process this entire time. It is in an effort to get a correct lynch that I'm changing my vote. Araris is risky. You are not. And if I'm wrong, I lose the game. im going to hill cumorah pageant now. I may or may not be able to get on tomorrow. Please lynch smartly.

No. But he can use feruchemy. And I got it myself so I like to quote it around whenever I can.

Ok then. Assuming this isn't a troll, I would like to propose another scenario- that both Araris and I are village. In such a scenario, Dalinar would actually be my top suspect. If this is a troll, then Araris is my top suspicion. Also seriously getting evil vibes on PK. Like villain level evil. Your logic for voting on me makes no sense at all. in fact, I think PK has no alibi whatsoever, and is almost certainly an elim. At least Araris has some things speaking for him. I would encourage any villagers to change their vote to PK. Also that thing about the neutral votes sounds oddly threatening PK. I'm voting PK

Ok. Now I'm even more confused. But I've been considering a different view of events. Orlok, were you actually blackmailed by the elims? Because if not, my whole thing goes out the window.

If you PM Haelbarde he'll give you a spec doc. I'll just tell you that because I had an issue with the whole stalking thing lol. It's fun Ok now Orlok is voting araris too????? This is getting a little intense for a double bluff.

First off, I already explained my actions early in the game. Second, I have not forgotten about Cloudjumper. I am still suspicious of him. However I recognized my tunneling, which is why I backed off. I decided to instead wait and see what Cloudjumper does, to draw a better conclusion. If Ecth had turned elim, it would have cleared Dalinar completely. But just because ecth turned village, that doesn't make Dalinar elim. Villagers can tunnel on villagers. So I'm still relying on post analysis and gut read for dalinar. And I'm reading that he is a villager.

But I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt for all the analysis you've done. I'm village. And upon that fact I base my logic: Dalinar still feels village. Stick and Araris seem elim. If they're both elim, they can afford to work together here because of the fact that this is the last lynch where the village has a chance of winning the game. But then Wilson says that the elims called in her vote on Araris. Which means either it's a double bluff, or both Araris and I are village. Now to you, you do not have the guaranteed fact that I am village. Only I know that for sure (and the elims). Therefore, in your view, you have a choice of two teams: team Flash and team Araris. Me, I believe in Team Flash. People who vote on me are under my suspicion because as a villager in such a crucial situation, the elims are voting on me to basically end this game for us. So villagers please make the right decision. I'll come up with more to say later, but I'm just saying the situation as it is.

Hrm. I've never had to deal with double bluffs before. This is a bit overwhelming. I retracted my vote on the possibility that perhaps we are both village. I need to reconsider my options. I am still inclined towards elim Araris but I do need to consider that possibility. As stated earlier, we CANNOT afford a mislynch. So if I'm going to vote on Araris I'm going to be absolutely 100% sure he's elim. And stick, I'll say I'm starting to get a much stronger elim read from you. Which scares me a bit.

Or maybe we are both villagers that are trying to figure this out. OR they had little Wilson vote for araris to double bluff.

Ok. They specifically wanted you to vote for Araris? (Thank you for helping the village. I appreciate it). Well then that might be the information we need to make a better lynch. Because if so, then araris.

Yeah. Oh wait a second. @little wilson do you think I'm calling in a favor for the elims? Heck no. I'm a villager grasping at straws, hoping maybe the neutrals will be nice enough to help us out. I had entirely forgotten about that whole elim-neutral deal thing. Which could make things a lot worse for the village. Storms. This is my 1000th post lol And yeah. If you're going to vote on Araris, I want you to do it for the right reasons. I don't want you to vote on him thinking I'm an elim calling in a favor. I want you to vote on him because maybe you have residual village sympathies.

PowerKeepers: an exploration of Entropy
Steeldancer replied to Steeldancer's topic in Creator's Corner
Imagine entropy is like a force going forwards. The order defines where the force of chaos goes, directing it, focusing it, ect. If you don't properly set up the Order, the chaos will just turn everything into its most entropical state. One of the common themes of my magic system is that characteristics can be adjusted. This is another facet of that And yes. Theoretically, you can. In reality spells could go hundreds of years, trying to create a desired result. Like getting a spell to create a planet with life on it, say. Theoretically, with this power, you CAN do that. But what are the actual chances of that happening? Even with the entropical state of matter within the chaos field, it could literally go forever (and probably would) without ever fulfilling its purpose of creating a living planet.
