I don't care about the logistics. I just want to know what other ridiculous things you can make out of a spren! Shard-spoon! Shard-thimble! Shard-knitting needles, shard safety clips, shard goblets, shard music stand, shard flute, shard instrument, shard tie clip, shard paper clip, shard coin, shard-foil, shard hanger (to hang your shard plate on LOL)

Interesting thought. I have no idea how that could happen, but it IS all investiture. There could be some affects between the interactions of investigure

Ok revised idea- again we have 6 shards yet to be found so what it one of these day is a scholarly shard? And purposely created silverlight? Now I agree it is entirely possible that they could be based on the survival shard or the remains of ambition but I want to speculate a bit here

I like the idea about the heralds a lot. It makes a lot of sense, especially given the suspicious gas giants in arcanum unbounded. It would explain why the heralds seemed so... tired. Perhaps that was another forum, but I'll tie it in here: the heralds agreed to bind odium, but then odium tortured them through the desolations to get out of the oathpact. Until the last desolation... maybe each desolation was caused by the heralds giving up a little bit? And that would explain no desolations happened for such a long time, because stonesinew held firm like in the chapter heading in words of radiance from the diagram.

Ok if at this point in the cosmere the only way for people to worldhop is through perpendicularities. And silverlight is chalk full of worldhoppers, so wherever they are, I'm presuming in a place we haven't seen yet, they must have a perpendicularity. Which by extension means they either have a shard there, or a large effect from some shard, maybe Ambition actually died there and created one. I'm not good at finding WoB, so if someone could prove/disprove/ adjust this theory that would be wonderful.

Wow this theory is amazing. I love it. Besides what the others have mentioned, I am a big fan of this idea. Especially hoid not being a shard because he didn't want adonalsium to die. Does anybody know who killed ambition in the end if it wasnt Odium?

Wow that's a really cool theory! It would somewhat make sense too, given that there are more spren on braize.

@Pagerunner I hadn't seen that quite thank you. I'm still trying to figure out how to navigate that website to get to all the quotes. Although am I right in remembering he said at some point that odium is more powerful than the others? And is there a reason why?

Ok I found some quotes that suggested that: 1.Adonalsium had an opposing force, that is still around. 2. Adonalsiums 'intent' was to create life. Based on these facts, it would stand to reason that adonalsiums opposite would have the intent of destroying life. So what if shattering adonalsium wasn't enough? What if this opposite now has to get rid of the shards, which share that same purpose? Perhaps this opposite corrupted and empowered Odium to make him more powerful than the other shards, giving him the ability to shatter shards. Then, once he is the only shard left, this opposite force can easily sweep him and all intelligent races from the universe. I know this won't be confirmed or denied for a long time, but just think about it.

Lol I read and do origami. I have read secret histories and emperor's soul. I'll buy arcanum unbounded when it comes out. And trust me I've been searching the shard for a while! I only just got an account.

So I'm well read on the novels, less so on the novellas. But Brandon sanderson is the best author I have ever read. EVER.
