John woke up. What in the world, he thought, trying to figure out where he was. He was alive? He had thought he was dead... though was that a dream? Hey guys sorry for disappearing, I was really busy this last week and for some reason I genuinely thought I died so I hadn't checked in on the game. First instinct, looking at what's happened since I left, seems I was wrong about the 4 player team, but I doubt there's more than one left. So, It should be a 4v1. That means we only have 2 days left to win. The people I'd like to take the closest look at would be Bridgeboi and Aeternum. I'll probably do that sometime tomorrow.

...ngl I was really hoping that would end the game. welp back to the drawing board.

Losing Kas and Jo definitely hurt our most prolific V posters. Rather unfortunate.

Note, it was always trust with an asterisk. I never, ever hard clear anyone based on vibes alone. Most often when I listed Gaea as a trust it was insofar as they weren't pocketing me. Granted, that explanation is completely out the window because if you're trying to pocket me you're doing a terrible job of it Anyway the votes Gaea made still leave me with the impression that most likely, you're not an elim. I could be wrong, but there are definitely other avenues to pursue before voting you out. And, yes @Terrisman that is actually a pretty good explanation of my votes on D1. I decided to be the deciding votes on both ties. Because, as I said, I don't like ties. They give far less information than a solid vote, even if its a close run thing. If there is a tie, I will actively try and break it in order to get more information, every time. If you're interpreting this as an elim trait... idk man. As for the rest of my tone? That's just me. Mostly unfiltered. Anyway, the TOW flip, even if wrong, should provide some information. Unfortunately your defense here TOW isn't good. It feels to me that you're an elim struggling with trying to find suspicions, because you already know who's V and E. So, sticking with that. Plus if I retracted my vote that would turn it into a tie, and I literally just reiterated my dislike of ties

I kinda forgot to vote last night lmao Unfortunately it wouldn't have helped with me getting stilled regardless. But whatever its fine. Unless I get killed. Then I'll be sad.
-
Honestly a small team with Drake being inactive would kind of explain how little pushback there's been on elim vote trains.
-
So, you're assuming brown Ajah was entirely black Also looks like I got stilled through RNG. Kinda lame imo

What voting pattern, he never said anything

John sighed as the new day dawned. They had stilled him, removed him from his position of authority. And honestly, he couldn't be happier. He was fairly sure the attempted stilling hadn't done a thing to his ability to call on the power, though he still dared not to do so. The process of cutting a man off from the power was different, so for now, he was safe. And as he had recently learned, apparently Aes Sedai couldn't directly detect male channelers regardless. So... Now he had a great chance of getting away! No one could possibly suspect a thing. Honestly nobody would probably blame him for slipping away. There was just one problem, one thing keeping him in the tower. He didn't like the Black Ajah being around still. They had killed one too many good people. Though he suspected there weren't too many left. To that end, he identified the person he suspected most at the moment. Worldhopper, your vote patterns are shoddy and your vote logic even shoddier. J'ACCUSE!
-
Unfortunately the white Ajah powers can only be used during the day, so we'd only be effective for N3, so if that's what you're looking for then yeah, I was planning at least using my own to continue to stall an Amyrlin vote.
-
Eh, but then I wouldn't be safe from the NK and would be at risk of having my RP interrupted It really annoys me when I actually have a good RP going and then I get killed for no good reason and have to abandon it. John deserves better. I swear it happens every single time... So for now, VOTE FOR STEEL SO HE DOESN'T GET STILLED AND KILLED. I want John to survive as long as possible

Well we all know where assuming gets us

I mean... I guess I could have seen myself doing something similar. D2 I was just fine seeing a Twinstorm or TUF flip. So, under that light I guess its fine. Though I GOT MY EYE ON YOU Excuse me I did no such bandwagoning. I broke a tie D1, and started a vote D2. I am an independent person, tyvm. I feel all my votes have had decent logic behind them. Also, man I wish I was brave enough to break a tie to kill my own teammate D1, but I think that's a bit crazy unless I had a pretty large team. Which, I don't believe is the case. As for the Twinstorm vote, I honestly would have been fine voting TUF or Twinstorm, based on the Kasimir vote, as has been the primary motivation for my vote analysis so far. But since we had just stilled TUF, I figured watching him for another cycle wouldn't hurt anything, so Twinstorm's flip seemed more appealing to me. I was sort of planning to vote one the D2 and then the other the next. Assuming Brown isn't all BA, then I guess I was just wrong about specifically Twinstorm. Though, I'll still be keeping an eye on them just in case, there will be no hard clears from me. I can't say whether I would have changed my vote to TUF or not, since I wasn't here when that all happened. And look, I could totally be wrong about there being 4 elims. Its just, if I were GMing the game, that's the size of the team I'd be running. But I'm not running the game, so it's an educated guess.
-
Alright, writing this up as I go and read D2 Notably, I was the first one on the Twinstorm vote, and it looks like that train formed while I was gone as well. So, that increases the possibility of elims hopping on after me to avoid a TUF vote. Right away, Worldhoppers vote is shallow at best. Point against them. Looks like others didn't appreciate that as well, though the vote shifted away from them to kill TUF. Stinks post deflects any attention in a truly classic way. It's a complete nothing of a post. Bridgeboi, you don't even do me the honor of putting me on your list at all, at any level. You wound me. Illwei, I know I've said my trust of Gaea extends to you, but your choice of voting Twinstorm there at the end is concerning (assuming a V/E train). Stink continues to be vague lmao. I'm not sure what I'm really expecting, this is how Stink plays. Very casually. Aeternum, what the actual heck is that vote. Okay takeaway. So, I'm going to assume that there was at least one villager in Brown, just because it makes more sense to me. So for now, I'm taking my suspicion off of Twinstorm, despite the Kas vote. The person I'm now most interested in is TOW. Let's go look at day 1... oh and look at that, they voted alone on Ashbringer. That would fit an elim voting mentality. Let's look a bit more into it TOWs first post makes a pretty direct theory on elim strategy. Its at least possible this is just a reflection of their actual strategy. Its still fairly early, so elim strategy hadn't been overly discussed in thread quite yet. ...TOW, I see you went back and edited your previous votes to green. This isn't necessarily wrong or anything, but in the future, just keep em red, and indicate the green unvote in your post where you change your vote. Makes it slightly less confusing when all your votes are green. Alrighty, found what I was looking for, the vote where TOW votes on Ashbringer. And their reasoning is, "You're trying to get us to vote for the people who had one vote." ... Yeah I'm gonna be very onboard with a TOW vote tomorrow. Edit: Also, canonically, I can't be stilled. I'd be what is referred to as, gentled, which is technically a different process. Yes, I only refound this out when I was doing some reading of a wiki to research a bit for my RP. Please ignore all the canon issues and put them up to John not knowing jack squat about Aes Sedai.

Hm, so I was near convinced that that one or both of Twinstorm and TUF were elims based on the Kasimir vote, but now knowing that if Twinstorm were elim that would make the ENTIRE brown Ajah black, that... doesn't feel right to me? Assuming my initial guess of 4 elims was correct, then that would mean only 2 factions would be infiltrated, and one doesn't even matter, its just owned by the elims. So then, if not Twinstorm, then who? Well, I'd cross-reference counter votes from D1 with potential bus votes on D2. I was sleeping or at work so I totally missed the transfer over to a TUF vote, so I'll need to go read that to get a better sense for the votes there. Either that, or it's someone like Stink, who is entirely flying under the radar. In fact, I feel Stink could be a good possible candidate to look into more.

Exactly, I figured there was a chance that Gaea going along with my admittedly ridiculous reason for Sitter could be an attempt at pocketing. Edit: and yeah, I wanted it lol.
-
Illwei, I explicitly didn't vote because at the time, only Gaea had voted for me based on my hair brained desire to be sitter lol. I didn't really want to put it up to a 50/50 between me and someone who was willing to vote for me, so that's why I didn't do that. Plus you can't vote for yourself, else I'd have done that. Then, Tesan came in while I was at work, which is why you'll note I didn't even realize he had voted, or even said anything about the vote, until a while later lmao. I'm also more than happy to just hold on to the Sitter position for now, unless thread decides to pull a funny and make me Amyrlin just to put poor John through even more stress. (At which point we can put his leaving the game to him absolutely BOOKING it out of the tower. Ngl it would be very fun to write) Hm. Votes. Also illwei bridgeboi is a sitter so can't be voted. I guess I'll turn to my previous analysis of the Kasimir vote and probably vote someone on there. Hm, bridgeboi can't be voted so that just leaves TUF and Twinstorm. Since TUF just got stilled, I'd like to turn to a new source of information and vote Twinstorm instead.
-
That was directed at Ashbringer, not you, you're all good. That post was meant to subtly indicate I was in the same Ajah, then I gave up on that almost immediately since gaea and teldrin had already discussed claiming white lmao
-
He was also IN MY AJAH. Because he was IN MY AJAH. Sorry I thought I made this clear earlier. His behavior in the document was hyper villager. He deliberately created a 50/50 between Gaea and I in order to reduce the chances of a black ajah becoming sitter, which I totally missed until later on. That, and I also weirdly trusted him for not being totally willing to trust me? So when I listed the two members of my Ajah as being major trusts, he was the one I listed as fairly certain being village, and Gaea being probably village unless they're pocketing me and bussing so hard that I... well it's improbable. Edit: note that I also mentioned IRL stuff which he didn't mention in thread, I think. He was on a vacation and was planning on being more active when he got back. So, I feel a mild amount of anger is justified. Also, I'm always over the top. Please, please stop thinking its alignment indicative. It's not, its just me being me. I would think if you'd played with me before you'd know this...
-
John frowned at the body of his Ajah sister. She had actually been against voting for him, worried about the infiltration of the Black Ajah. Weirdly, he had trusted her for that conviction. And now she was dead. Perhaps... perhaps fleeing could wait. Sure, he didn't want to be in charge. He didn't ask to be a channeler, or to hide among the Aes Sedai. But these women... they had trusted him. Perhaps their trust had been misplaced, since he was hiding his true identity as a man. But he still wanted to do right by them. He straightened, and spoke up, using his most commanding, but still feminine, voice. "This is an outrage. This is now war within the tower. I want to believe that none among you would have done this to their sister." He looked at their eyes, seeing a measure of hope in them that he could solve this. He laughed a little at himself. As if he'd be able to fix anything. But, well, he'd do his best to not let them down. "We're going to find the rest of those Black Ajah, and then we're going to make them wish they had never started worshipping the Dark One over the bonds of us within the Tower. We're supposedly the best at logic; so then let's get to it. We find the traitors, no matter what lengths we must go to in order to do so." The Aes Sedai before him let out a small cheer, breaking their normally taciturn expressions. It was time to fight back. And then after that, hopefully everyone would be a bit too busy cleaning up to notice when John made his rapid escape from the city.

Thankfully for the sanity of us all, we aren't middle schoolers Edit: Maybe I can sort of think of a reason for the kill? It's possible that the kill was decided to be pointed towards a player not in any documents the elims were in. Which I will happily claim, is my own. YOU KILLED MY (checks notes) MY AJAH SISTER. THERE WILL BE RETRIBUTION. Before John flees from the tower anyway. He still has a sense of justice and responsibility!

I disagree with this sentiment. Most of us older players aren't just playing to win. I hope. The general consensus among more experienced players is to let new players survive so they can have a good time as well, and stick around in the community. Killing them N1 is actively antithetical to that. All of us have had our first game, and having that one be a fun one is a good way to keep this community alive and well.
-
Tsk killing the brand new player? Especially one I was fairly certain was village, and hadn't had a real opportunity to play yet due to IRL stuff? Not cool, elims. I'm genuinely OOG a bit disappointed in you guys. Also, if TUF is elim, we do still need to kill him. That is the village win condition, to kill all the Black Ajah. While he might not be an immediate threat, he will still need to be dealt with permanently if that is the case.
