  1. Yeah thats the only quote i can find. Maybe im wrong on that one.
  2. Forgot about honorblades. Correct. Pretty sure theres a WoB saying Vasher had to find a way to convert Stormlightto Breath. But im absolutely crap at finding specific WoB
  3. No spren is like Larasium. It gives you the connection to the shards investiture. Lerasium gives powers of a Mistborn. Lerasium alloys give a specific power. Spren (depending on its type) gives a specific Surgebinding power. Metal is the focus of Lerasium. Stormlight is the focus of Surgebinding. The metal/stormlight runs out and they cannot access the shards power/investiture.
  4. My little bro think Wax, Wayne and Marasi could be in era 4. using Marasi slow down time skill.
  5. Calderis Not necessarily. The spren gives you connection to use Honor or Preservation investiture. The type of spren gives you the potential abilities. Stormlight powers said abilities.
  6. Hmm just thought of this whilst reading this thread. Could Vasher be bonded to a spren? Giving a potential reason for discarding Nightblood in case he consumed the spren. That could be a reason why he can now absorb Stormlight. Converting it to Breath would be another issue he needed to figure out. But to absorb Stormlight you need spren bonding.
  7. Lord Bookworm Leras chose Vin to be the decoy. So Ati could chase her and not Sazed. Sazed was always his chosen one to take the shard. HoA. ' "I am no Hero," he whispered, still reaching to the sky. His arms twinkled, golden. His copperminds, worn on his forearms, reflected the light of the sun. They had been with him for so long, his companions. His knowledge. Knowledge... The words of the prophecy were very precise, he thought suddenly. They say . . . they say that the Hero will bear the future of the world on his arms. Not on his shoulders. Not in his hands. On his arms. By the Forgotten Gods!'
  8. Has Szeth really bonded with Nightblood yet? I think Nightblood likes Szeth given his morality. Vivenna spoke with Nightblood but was not bonded to it. I think that when Szeth and Nightblood really bond its gonna be something special. same with his release during a Highstorm or Everstorm.
  9. Different spren give different powers. I assume you can only bond with 10 different spren. Given the 10 orders of radiants. (Excluding voidspren) Without the focus point (Stormlight) you dont get the powers of said bonded spren. Just a shard blade or whatever you want the spren to appear in the PR as. Like a majestic fork lol.
  10. Ok to ive had some time to think about the Stormlight. I stll think that its an Uncle Andy investiture that is generated by the Highstorms as a byproduct. Ive read somewhere a WoB (but i cant track it down) that metal is special in the Cosmere. Spren are Honor and Cultivations god metal. And like allomancy you need... From the coppermind: 'Energy does not come from one's own body, as happens in Feruchemy, but from Preservation himself. Metal is not the source of Allomancy's power.[8] Rather, metal is what is called a focus--a necessary component to a manifestation of Investiture (magic system), but not the source of the power itself. When an Allomancer burns a metal, that metal's specific molecular structure acts as a conduit to Preservation, and then the Allomancer is granted an ability corresponding to the metal, hence the metal "focuses" Preservation's power to the user.' I see Stormlight as the 'focus' and a necessary component to a manifestation of Radiant powers, not the source of power. Just like metal for allomancy. I understand were just speculating. If someone gets the opportunity to ask Brandon if Stormlight is of Honor or Uncle Andy that would not only be awesome but will clear the issue up.
  11. Spoolofwhool Apologies i was quite drunk last night. I kept repeating myself for no reason. On a one way path. Lol. Give me time to wake up and ill reread yours and others post and get back to you
  12. Spoolofwhool And yet Stormlight plays the same role as metals in Mistborn. Plus its never mentioned that Stormlight is of Honor. Stormlight which powers both Honor and Cultivation powers via spren. I see Stormlight as a kinetic energy of the Highstorms.
  13. Spoolofwhool, Um not sure what your getting at here. Highstorms existed befor Uncle Andy was shattered. http://coppermind.net/wiki/Stormlight First part says; 'Stormlight is a form of Investiture brought by the Highstorms of Roshar.' So if the Highstorms were there pre-shattering of Uncle Andy then the Highstorms are not of Honor. But Honor now controls them. No doubt from his investing in Roshar. Its just not his Investiture (Stormlight).
  14. The Knights Radiant powers are from the Spren, of Honor and Cultivation. I see Stormlight as the metal of Mistborn. It powers the connection to the shards power. If say Wax went to Roshar, Sel or the other planets and burnt the native steel he could still use allomancy. I see the Highstorm as an Uncle Andy investiture. Spren of Honor and Cultivation = Lerasium. (analogy) One makes knights radiants the other mistborn. Ones powered by stormlight the other metal. Metal is special in the cosmere for some unknown reason. Maybe an uncle andy reason. (above are two texts i sent my bro earlier today as we have been talking about this interesting thread, ohh and if i have not said so yet good theory OP). ... Edit. Theres nothing to confirm Stormlight comes from Honor. We only know that Honor now controls the Highstorm. His 'metal' is spren which Brandon has confirmed is a type of metal.
  15. This is what i sent my little bro earlier. http://coppermind.net/wiki/Stormlight First part says; 'Stormlight is a form of Investiture brought by the Highstorms of Roshar.' So if the Highstorms were there pre-shattering of Uncle Andy then the Highstorms are not of Honor. But Honor now controls them. No doubt from his investing in Roshar. Its just not his Investiture (Stormlight).
  16. Maybe he sacrificed himself so that Cultivation and the new Honor knows how to splinter (Odium).
  17. Isnt there a WoB where he says the Highstorm where already on Roshar before the Shards got their? If so the Highstorm is of Uncle Andy (Adonalsium) --- Edit. Found it.
  18. What are occasions were Hoid breaks the 4th wall?
  19. But if Odium cohesed and manipulated him... And possibly corrupted Syl into a Voidspren... Just speculating
  20. I reckon Kaladin will end up being Odiums champion. Given his back and forth emotional thoughts. Plus it would be a twist i would not put past Brandon doing
  21. Remember Yolan was the planet where the Gods died. From their corpes the Fain Life grew. I think Adonalsium was the last God and the 16+ decided it was better that Adonalsium died to help kill or slow down the fainlife spread of corruption.
  22. The shards of Preservation was a white mist: 'And then, he felt something. He looked down. Vin's body was smoking slightly. Not from the heat. It seemed to be leaking something . . . or, no. It was connected to something. The twists of mist he saw, they led to a vast white light. He could just barely see it. He reached out and touched the mist, and felt an awesome power. A power of stability. Ruin shard is... 'To the side, the other corpse—the one he didn't recognize—was also leaking something. A deep black smoke. Sazed reached out with his other hand, touching the smoke, and felt a different power—more violent. The power of change.' On absorbing them it is described as.. 'He slammed his arms into the twin mists and seized the powers offered to him. He drew them in, feeling them infuse his body, making him burn. His flesh and bones evaporated, but as they did, he tapped his copperminds, dumping their entire contents into his expanding consciousness.' So the powers/shards are a misty smoky like substance.
  23. Interesting response from Brandon there. Also who created the planets outside of the Cosmere in the AU map? Gods plural indeed
  24. Well he does team up with Hoid in Mistborn era 4. The space one. But i dont think anyone but a shard can assemble a shattered shard. Also how do u reply to someones post?
  25. Talking about any shard can potentially be a villain... Kel with Honor... Honor amongst theives. Lol Although Kel is not a villain i consider him being an anti-hero
