It's both investure which practically the same(it's still parts of adonalsium like the shards are adolnasium after all) but just came from different sources. Shards from Roshar are prolly much less restrictive than Endowment

Nightblood can consume stormlight (it's practically investure after all) just like how Vasher is surviving in STormlight Archives. But yeah Szeth needs to be able to absorb stormlight in order for him to use nightblood or he just throws him all the time and hope they are greedy men.

From Secret History we know that you can totally 100% distract a shard if you are another shard even make the shard lose focus over the things he has most control about(like the case with Ruin and Marsh). Though a shard can converse/watch multiple people at the same time, we know they have different levels of focus per person/area. I mean we see Vin after she finally turned into preservation during the original trilogy that she literally ignored those who had problems by the tsunami she accidentally produced from turning the planet around. And besides i suspect Harmony has this Paalm issue not on his top priority, and his way of solving it was probably just sending Wax. I mean if there was another shard trying to literally enter scadrial i think the shard protecting the people would focus on that than a rebelling Minion. I mean we have preservation asking alot of times "what happened" during secret history even though he's a full shard.

I'd rather have Jasnah&Kaladin or Kaladin+Anybody else or Kaladin + nobody(he's too awesome no girl is worthy of his attention) tbh . But if i were to choose between Kaladin+Shallan and Adolin+Shallan i certainly like pick Shalladin too

I suspect the 2nd WoB is what matters since it's more specific. And Brandon Sanderson probably only said the first one because there is really no way for somebody to know hemalurgy unless given knowledge by Ruin or already has a working knowledge about it (Paalm)

Rust is just an expression i believe. It also fits with when you say "rust and ruin!" as a curse/exasperation since either is practically entropy. It's kinda like saying "goddamn bastard" you know both can individually be a curse or exasperation but it can also said at once, i believe rust and ruin expression is like that.

This seems like Nightwatcher is both of Honor and Cultivation. Or maybe it's just Cultivation but it was also native in Roshar Cultivation just changed Nightwatcher or whatever super-spren there was turned to Nightwatcher by Cultivation

There's alot of problems/inconsistencies that shouldn't have been done if another shard was part of Scadrial creation. Remember that if a shard is part of the creation and has involvement in alot of things that would mean he/she is stuck in that planet lest leaving a huge chunk of him/her. Sazed should've not have a free reign over the people of Scadrial if there was another shard involved. Like how Ruin managed to change the content of the metal mind if it wasn't part of him There was never a mention of a 3rd creator, or even essence or any hint that there was a third shard involved even in Secret History or in the words of Ruin when he was talking to Vin in HoA(Ruin only said he and preservation made a deal, and a third shard can't just inject himself freely without the other two shards allowing it .. remember that all shards have equal power just different intent ) there's also no reason for him to withdraw such information if that was the case. Here's another one of the relevant WoB anyways i think it's possible that another shard visited at one point maybe but not in the process of creation

It is indeed both ruin and preservation, Which makes Sazed being the hero of ages more brilliant Also about Preservation and Ruin creating people in Scadrial there's alot of reference about this and Brandon just casually mentioning it like this that's not the only time i've read a WoB mentioned it or an annotation of him says this Also you have to remember that if another shard did something at the creation of the people of Scadrial his essence should be left there and there's also might be another injected magic system outside the 3 metallic arts

Interesting Paalm makes sense. We already know that it's just Preservation and Ruin that settled in Scadrial and created people in there. Also they used Human framework from where they belonged which is why Scandrians are like humanlike. Ruin and Preservation may have given a part of themselves to humanity but that is only to give them sentience not really the nature of Scandrians. Not saying that it's not possible for another shard to visit Scadrial before but i think this Trell guy is new to Scadrial. And err i don't think anybody would probably wanted to get close to where Ruin is.

Yeah i think Yata is right. Or just change himself to immortality after taking the well again it's preservation after all it doesn't clash with the intent.

I'm not sure if this matters but apparently you can do compounding both ways, (nevermind it doesn't it just acts like a duralumin with no limit if compouding is done in reverse). Idk if these WoB helps I suspect that Rashek discovered another trick, with compounding

Hemalurgic abilities are just like nerfed or weaker version of whoever that hemalurgic spike came from so i don't think that stops them from compounding. Afaik you could even store feruchemy charges to the spikes used for hemalurgy. like @The One Who Connects says Ruin may have never disclosed that just like Rashek

Rashek didn't need to age old from time to time. He just does it out of nostalgia(Ruin manipulating him to feel that way)

Preservation and Ruin aren't splintered not in era 2 at least(there's a WoB about this though there's also a WoB about Harmony keeping a chunk of Ruin away to balance himself since his Ruin is bigger than Preservation but it's not splinters). I don't think they were ever splintered in era 1.(not sure if you could consider Atium and the WoA as splinters)

I thought that Kaladin only had a dream because he was connected with Syl. And it was Stormfather's way of letting him know about Odium reigning and what it must be like to be one with the storm. While Dalinar's dream wasn't related anything to the present(which was what Kaladin's highstorm dream was) but rather it was all of Almighty and scene's during desolations.
