If you include shards we don't know yet. Here is an old thread with a spreadsheet and everything. https://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/52846-combined-shards/

Brandon has confirmed, aluminum does not react with a shard pool. You could remove some with an aluminum bowl. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/316-general-signed-books-2018/#e9233

New record for oldest necro! Given that this thread was created before even Words of Radiance came out, it is really old, so if you want to discuss the particulars of how copperclouds work, best do it in a new thread.

Nergaoul as a splinter of Ambition
Fezzik replied to Dunadan Windrunner's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I'm not sure what you mean, are you saying Sadeas wanted to commit suicide? He was not under the influence of the unmade, and WoB says Adolin was not under the influence of the unmade. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/44-minicon-2015/#e659 -
Burning Atium and Renarin seeing possible futures is how Fortune works. You could call Vin's extraordinary combat capabilities "lucky" from an outside perspective, but there is no altering of chance itself. MAG is not canon, and their version of Fortune isn't the one Brandon uses. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/33-arcanum-unbounded-san-francisco-signing/#e2754 Fortune is seeing the future/versions of the future. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/176-oathbringer-chicago-signing/#e8481 Fortune the spiritual attribute and fortune the word might not mean exactly the same thing. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/2-jordancon-2016/#e134

Fortune is not luck, it involves seeing the future. Storing/Tapping would not affect a hypothetical roll of the dice, but it would let you, say, run a maze quicker.

Film rights get bought all the time, but almost never make it to the big screen. Sometimes they are bought simply to prevent someone else from making a similar movie to one already in production so there will be less competition. The Cosmere rights are held by DMG who have someone working on pilots, but those are a long way off from being done (and a long shot to actually getting a green light). The closest thing to actually being completed right now is his short story Snapshot, but Dark One is showing progress; neither are cosmere.

The Aonic Equation of Elantris and the Shaod
Fezzik replied to TheFoxQR's topic in Cosmere Discussion
This is the coppermind's source, which was not nearly as specific as I thought. Just because you are from maipon and wherever Chayshan is practiced does not qualify you to learn them, there is something additional. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/10-calamity-chicago-signing/#e6563 -
The Aonic Equation of Elantris and the Shaod
Fezzik replied to TheFoxQR's topic in Cosmere Discussion
You need the proper bloodline/connection to Maipon to make a soulstamp, (I assume similar prerequisites to get chosen by the Shaod). I assume the same regional/bloodline requirements apply to Dakhor, but on the part of the sacrifice or monk (or both) I don't know. I think the Shaod began choosing people, People figure out Aons (super weak) Elantris is built to amplify power Modern day(all that they can remember) Elantrians create powerful Aons -
The Aonic Equation of Elantris and the Shaod
Fezzik replied to TheFoxQR's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Nope. Anyone could type code using Aons, but an Elantrian would have to re-type it and execute it. (This crops up (outside the cosmere) again in Rithmatist; Joel knows what he is doing, but Melody has to trace the lines after him to make it work.) You must be an elantrian to access the Dor through Aons. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/124-drogakrolowpl-interview/#e1824 -
The Aonic Equation of Elantris and the Shaod
Fezzik replied to TheFoxQR's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Unfortunately, Elantrians pre-dated Elantris. No word on what they would have been called, though. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/133-elantris-annotations/#e2173 -
Tournament: Cosmere Character Roast Battles
Fezzik replied to Ashspren's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Unicorns are overly violent They make a terrible co-pilot And yet one I would still like to ride see my enemies cower and hide Doomslug will sing with me all night long Whither your unicorn's voice or song? Your sidekick of childhood fantasy falls prey to this harsh reality: He's imaginary.- 2784 replies

Can confirm, there are, in fact, 8 kinds of blood. A, AB, B, O, and positive and minus versions of each.

1: This thread is 3 1/2 years old. 2: To answer your last paragraph, forging is not permanent. It requires energy from the dor to keep the object from "snapping" back to the way it truly is (the same way, as you mentioned, the lord ruler needed constant atium burning), and depends heavily on plausibility. It is far easier to say I learned a second language a few years ago than to say I was raised bilingual when your goal is a second language. Likewise, it is easier to alter your recent past than to forge yourself a different birth environment (that you were actually born several decades later).

Great roast @Sorana! I didn't look at your's until mine was ready to submit, and you called me out pretty hard, I actually wondered if I should tone down the agressiveness because I liked your friendship roast so much.- 2784 replies

Comprehensive answers to two of them, sure. But three is right out. I mean five.

The Spiritual realm is an actual thing, the beyond is a view of the afterlife that may or may not be more than a belief--as an in-world theory, the existence of the beyond will never be confirmed or denied. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/31-arcanum-unbounded-release-party/#e1729

And there are better candidates for Kandra worldhopper. Mrall, Taravangian's assisstant is completely hairless and can turn off his emotions if his master commands (in dialogue eerily similar to TenSoon in WoA)
