  1. Steris... Harris... Walrus... Daenerys... This will be a challenge.
  2. So, SA and MB eras 1 and 2. Which series is unspoiled? White Sand?
  3. While those are funny, they also spoil every series in the cosmere.
  4. Nope. If left unchecked, he would start to sound sleepy or drunk, but he wouldn't start eating the planet, or anything crazy. Stormlight Three Update #6 (Feb. 7, 2017)
  5. Hey, @not an Evil Librarian, might want to spoiler tag that middle one.
  6. Sazedium sounds lame.
  7. Double reeds. Scoundrels, the lot of you. I play bass clarinet.
  8. Welcome to the shard! To answer your question, H&C were on Roshar and were the listener's gods when Odium and Humans came over. At some point after, the groups switched deities. Also, when you title a thread in the future, it is good practice not to use all caps, and make it relevant to the topic you want to discuss--like "pre-SA Ashyn shard timeline." You also want to avoid spoilers because topic titles appear on the main page under recently created--so not "Odium was not the only shard who helped humanity destroy Ashyn"
  9. I don't believe this should hold him up. The reason Kelsier couldn't leave was because his being was suffused with preservation's investiture. A KR could theoretically travel off-world, but the spren would find it very difficult. Given that Heralds also cannot travel out of the system, but Vasher totally can, I would say having a strong physical presence would be all that is required.
  10. Also, the title of this post is super spoilery. Do Cosmere discussion threads appear on the main page in recently created? ETA: yes, they do.
  11. Stoneward or leader of rathbore. Immunity (or at least resistance) to investiture-based attacks sounds amazing.
  12. Mistborn era 1 mistborn are just as rare as era 2 twinborn. If we are going by the "current timeline" then there are only 20-30 non skybreaker KsR on Roshar, so those are way more rare.
  13. I found Rhayse. So close!
  14. Because of the perennial mistborn vs. KR threads, we could do Scadrial vs. Roshar.
  15. You are the 7000th reply! I also got my dad, brother, step-father, mother, sister, and step-mother to read Brandon.
  16. 1. Yep, exactly. 2. Lift turning food into investiture is because of her visit to the nightwatcher (which is also where she asked to never change, a la Peter pan) so sorta? 3. Within the Rosharan system, definitely. Within Roshar, the planet or continent, maybe not. @Hempknight
  17. Why does "so few" have to mean less than half? Edgli sounds like exactly the type of jackwagon who would say: "I can't believe I scored so low on this test!" (93%)
  18. There are invested poisons on Elantris. Brandon always refers to the potions Hrathen consumes as poisons, Hrathen just used some that wouldn't kill himself. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/133-elantris-annotations/#e2140 https://wob.coppermind.net/events/133-elantris-annotations/#e2040
  19. Whose intent is tangentially related to hiding and survival
  20. They are a theocracy worshipping...
  21. Alloying changes the metal so it is no longer allomantically viable. I would imagine getting really good with aluminum would allow you to control what you burned, much like Wax's steel bubble.
  22. Fortune is not luck. Atium as a way to see the future is Fortune, as is Renarin's future sight. You can't run out anymore than you could run out of connection, or identity. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/176-oathbringer-chicago-signing/#e8481 https://wob.coppermind.net/events/352-miscon-2018/#e10298 If you got your view of Fortune from the MAG, sorry to disappoint. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/33-arcanum-unbounded-san-francisco-signing/#e2754
  23. I don't think the liquid is the perpendicularity. I think the perpendicularity pierces the three realms, and the liquid is investiture "condensation". A byproduct of the perpendicularity, but not the portal itself. Carting the liquid around might be useful, but probably wouldn't affect the perp. Filling the basin with aluminum as if you were filling a pothole might prevent the perpendicularity from forming there, but I would think it would just manifest somewhere nearby. (The rain can't go in the big pothole, but now it can collect in a smaller one nearby that has now lost its drainage.)
