  1. What? How? That's just not fair! Anyway, how could I miss a chance at... Redemption. So sign me up! Put me in as Domo, although that's subject to change. Characterization to come.
  2. Well, it appears that my unfounded gut read on Aman was perfectly viable. -sigh- Thank you, Logic. I'm very much looking forwards to the QF you'll be doing, Hael. This game was extremely well run and enjoyable. Yes. Dead people noticed. Being dead adds a level of clarity and perspective to your existence. I would also note that inactivity, while comparatively not as bad as some games, definitely affected this game negatively. If a few more players had been a little more active, I think this game would have gone better for the village. Although Assassin definitely stepped up at the end, which I was very happy to see from one of the less active players.
  3. I started with HTML, then CSS and Javascript. These are all web design programs, but I enjoyed it and it got me off to a good start. There are a lot of places you can start, but I'd typically suggest starting with a middling complexity language. C would not have been a good place to start for me, although I know some people who swear by working your way up from binary. If I were suggesting something to start learning with, I'd probably say Python or Java, Python because it's a little more fun and easy to learn, and Java because it's so similar to so many other types of code. Again, this has just been my experience, and I am by no means an expert. I've always enjoyed coding, though, and I hope you have fun with it. I'm working my way up from C atm. Just C. C is basically one or two steps up from binary, and it's really... annoying.
  4. I'm not so sure. I've explored every night, and I've gotten one dud item. It might just be that I have no luck whatsoever, which would not be surprising to me, but I'm going to continue exploring in the hopes of finding a role or something of interest. I'd also expect this. There is the possibility that the number of Elims will increase without bound, but I feel like it will be one of those things where the more we have the less we'll get. Hopefully.
  5. Well, there are good reasons to "ruin" something. However, I believe that Brandon has said something to the effect that the shards were split according to how each person was aligned. Ati sort of had to be aligned with Ruin to some extent to even be able to pick it up. To some extent, you are correct. However, to pick up a shard, you have to be aligned with it's intent. Adonalisum split the way it did because of how each of the 16 Vessels were aligned. (Can't find WoB right now.) So, while Ati may not have been wanting to kill Adonalsium for Ruinous reasons, he most aligned with Ruin out of other possible aspects of Adonalsiums personality. Example. MB;SH Spoilers. I'm pretty sure this is accurate but I don't have time to go WoB hunting RN. I'll try to find it later... There are a few WoB's on this topic.
  6. Fairly certain I posted after that. I could be wrong, though. I intend to be more active from this point on. Having died in MR18 should help with that. Having read over the thread recently, I'm getting something off about the tone of Elenion's posts. I'm going to go back and focus on the things he said, but after just a quick read-through that's what I got. I'm not feeling the Arinian or Assassin lynch. I'll read over this cycle more closely in a minute, but I'm going to tie the lynch with a vote on Arinian for the moment. I'll try to pay more attention to this game, and I'll take a look at Arinian and Assassin, but right now I'm not sure. Agh. I keep wanting to type Arianian.
  7. Ookla the Indubitable is no more! He has removed his mask to reveal himself as... Magestar! I had no idea! Sorry Wyrm. Didn't mean to cause any harm.
  8. Sorry Hael. I knew I had missed it, and I just fixed it now. Mage.
  9. Can we have a vote tally? Also, Doc. This lynch doesn't seem to be going anywhere. Jondesu. I'm still suspicious of you, and I think It makes more sense to lynch you. Just remembered I forgot this. Mage.
  10. Just saying, this does not clear you at all. You could have been an Elim and known that El was clean, and not voted on her to seem more villager-y. I'm seriously considering moving my vote back onto you.
  11. I was so confused when I got the notification for being quoted in this thread. I said that a long time ago. So I'm not sure exactly what I meant when I posted that. I think I was more wondering if tapping weight like that would compact the Feruchemist, or the Ship would be crushed around him? I don't know. I feel like it has to be a hack, or there has to be something to direct(probably a better word) the weight.
  12. I was more thinking that the person who had sent the order was an Ookla. Such as STINK, or Doc. There are other possibilities as well, of course, but that was what I was thinking. I also realized that I also took that quote out of context. So I'm quoting the rest of the rules for clarification. Sorry.
  13. I'm not sure that Aman think's you're more suspicious, but that you'll give him more information. Also, I'd like to note that it's a really bad idea to gun for someone as an Elim, which is one of the reasons I'm not so suspicious of you anymore. I don't think that you'd vote for JUQ like you did if you were one. I know I wouldn't.
  14. A quick note; Regarding why the Elim kill did not go through, I have been assuming that it was because of, and thus prompted, this;
  15. I had stated previously why I wanted to lynch Wonko. He still had (has?) not defended himself. As for what happened after... A better way to look at this is that I put my vote on STINK after I realized that I had defended him previously, and that I was worried that constantly defending the same person, without a large amount of rationale was dangerous. I did largely put my vote on STINK because I didn't want to be responsible for lynching another villager, plus, I honestly was unsure about Wonko. I removed my vote on Wonko because I couldn't keep it and vote for STINK. Lol. If I wanted a tie, all I had to do was take my vote off of Wonko. If STINK was my teamate, I didn't even have to do that. Even with Nyali, if STINK was on my team, I could have left my vote on Wonko and we could have won the lynch just like that. Except STINK was not on my team. Umm, yes. If Jondesu ends up being a villager, than I'll have gunned for him all this time for nothing. So that's definitely a part of it. Another thing is, I didn't want to be put in places by my voting patterns so early in the cycle. I wanted to be end-neutral for the moment, because I'm unsure as to what to do next. Although you've helped me a bit with deciding that. So, now that we've looked at me, let's look at you, Doc. First Cycle. You made a few posts, some of which were oddly worded. Wonko told you that you were doing the same things that made him suspicious of you in QF19. I decided you were one of my suspicions. You also voted on Elbereth, a villager, who was lynched that cycle. You back up your vote, sort of, but it feels like a bandwagon. You even say that a lot of votes have little rationale, but you still place your vote on El even though she'll already be lynched. Second Cycle. You remain pretty quiet except for instantly voting on JUQ, another villager. You back up your vote to some extent, but I still feel like it's a little odd. Similarly to last cycle, JUQ turns out to be a villager. I don't think you post again. Third cycle. You vote for Wonko, and not for STINK, who is now proven to be an Elim. You, in fact, by adding your vote to mine, made Wonko a viable counter-lynch. This makes me heavily suspicious of you, especially after looking back at Wonko, who I no longer think is suspicious. I think, especially looking at the kill-pattern of the Elims, that you are almost definitely one of them. Doc. This post was written several hours ago, but never went through. Read it from the perspective of being written before Ecths last post. Continuing. Jondesu, I'm still suspicious of you, don't worry. You're vote on me only makes me more suspicious of you, especially considering all that's happened this game. If the Doc lynch seems to be failing in favor of a lynch on you, I'll go back that way. Wait, why are you voting on me again? I can see Jondesu, I can even see Doc, seeing as he's probably an Elim, but I don't know why you're voting for me? @Nyali, would you support a Doc lynch? @Amanuensis, same question.
  16. TBH, I'm not sure what to make of this. The lynch was tied, and I was on the other end. I literally made the lynch. Without me turning, the worst that could have happened was a tie. So... I'm the reason the lynch worked. (I had written a rather long post, and the internet killed it. I'm not sure what to do now but I'll try to rebuild it as best I can.) I hate to keep having to bring this up, but you seem to be forgetting that every single one of the votes on STINK, with the exception of maybe Dani's, has no reasoning given. Even Dani didn't give a lot. The only person who had a really solid reason, was Alv. And his reason was given after I placed my vote. No. I broke the tie, STINK made it closer, and Nyali just added a vote onto the already finalized lynch. See below. Or the top. Moving on, I'm honestly more suspicious of Wonko or Doc than Jondesu RN. So... I'm not sure what to do. I'm going to temporarily take my vote off of Jondesu, but I'm not going to place another one just yet. Ack. I'm really, really frustrated that my original post was deleted. It was much longer, and much more thought out. Hopefully, I'll be able to work out my thoughts and post again later. Also, this is Magestar. Sorry Hael.
  17. Well, this makes my life somewhat more difficult. However, I'm no longer suspicious of Dani, really. I mean, she still could be an Elim, but it just seems unlikely. So my main top suspects are still Jondesu, Wonko, and Doc. Actually, I tipped the scales. Nyali bandwagoned on at the end, but even if she hadn't, STINK would have died anyway. It makes me wonder about Nyali, actually. I'm actually really happy that STINK was an Elim. It get's killing him off my conscious. However, I don't think that killing STINK frees Wonko from suspicion. Does anyone else agree? Finally, I still think that Jondesu is suspicious. Plus, lynching him RN would help me firm up my other suspicions. Doc is being unusually quiet, and none of my suspicions about them have gone down yet. edit; Gah, I'm Mage. I thought I made that clear.
  18. @Orderbound, are you talking about Sanderson Elimination, or the Cosmere Questions section?
  19. Yes. I could see this. The reason I'm hesitant to lynch STINK is because you're saying that if he's an Elim, than I'm the next lynchee. Which is scary for me, for obvious reasons. But at the same time, I think that STINK's lynch will probably get us more info than any of the current lynches. So, Wonko. Another scary thing is, if we're wrong this cycle, then we will have lost 6 villagers, and I wouldn't be surprised if almost half of the players left are Elims. Not quite half, but maybe 4-7 or 5-6, which is still pretty scary odds, especially when we only have one way of killing Elims. However, STINK's lynch should throw plenty of things into the light. For instance, if STINK is an Elim, it basically clears Aman. And I'm not so sure about STINK's innocence anymore. I'll be happy if he is an Elim, but I'm not sure. However, I will add my vote to STINK for now. I'm also up for the Dani lynch, but Wonko and STINK are my two preferred lynchees. However, I think we should look at people like Doc, Jondesu, and Dani more closely. Even if STINK ends up being village, Doc and Jondesu still are on my radar, although Dani becomes pretty much cleared. STINK, I'll be really sorry if you're a villager. edit; Hael, you're taking all the fun out of it. Mage.
  20. I'm not going to quote Aman's wall of text. It doesn't seem advisable. Plus, I think STINK actually dealt with it quite well. I'm going to quote the sections of his post I would like to expand upon. And Aman, I wouldn't have a problem with lynching STINK if so many people didn't want to do it with so little reasoning. I could maybe except your reasoning, but I'd still like to say a few things. Yeah. This. Alv openly admitted to his votes on STINK just being conversation started. I feel it is important to note that there was not a single vote on STINK that was well thought out besides Alvs. And I already dealt with why that's not a problem. Daniyah is the only person who came close, and I honestly think that Dani is more suspicious than STINK. Still, I could see STINK being an Elim. But I'm not seeing him having acted in any way more eliminator-y than he has in previous games. If I remember correctly, I didn't interact with El. I just said I was more suspicious of her than of Doc. And, as I've stated like a billion times already, I spent this week with relatives, and have had very little time to do anything. Which is why I haven't voted a lot, haven't formed a lot of suspicions, and am generally frustrated by what's going on. I don't have enough data to do anything. But tomorrow is saturday. So I'll hopefully be able to get back ahead of the game. I still am suspicious of Jondesu. My main suspicions as of right now are Wonko, Jondesu, Doc and Dani, although not necessarily in that order. Aman, your post just set off a bunch of alarm bells for me. It might be partially because you accused me of being an Elim, but I also think it's because of how you stated everything. Could you clarify, for my sake, the purpose of that block post? It seemed like partially a recap, but it also seemed a bit like a tunnel on STINK. I can see some of your suspicions, however, so I'll withhold judgement for now. Wonko is suspicious to me because of the way he has acted in this game thus far. It might be because of thanksgiving, but I feel like the number of people I suspect in this game can be narrowed down by how I think the Elims are acting. The people the Elims have killed so far are Alv, El, and Lopen, people who were all thought to be dangerous by Wonko, in previous games I have played with him. Plus, I feel like Wonko is acting like he has in previous games where he has been an Elim. However, my suspicions of Jondesu actually lessen if Wonko turns out to be an Elim. My general suspicions of Jondesu have gone down, because I feel like elim!Jon would not tunnel on JUQ? But maybe he would. Idk anymore. Doc has done a few things which set off alarm bells in my head, and are very reminiscent of how he acted last time I was an Elim with him. Dani... I feel like Dani is being told to do stuff from a doc. It's mostly been how her posts sound and what she's done. Like her vote on STINK last cycle. I feel like she poked him because she felt like it, took it off, and then was told to put it back on by someone who helped orchestrate the STINK bandwagon. The only remaining people I feel like would do that are Wonko and Nyali. Now, a lot of this hinges on STINK not being an Elim. A lot of parts of this idea are hanging on that, and on certain things I'm either taking for granted or are pieced together. However, I think that the most information would be gained by lynching Jondesu or Wonko. Seeing as Aman has expressed suspicions of Wonko, I feel like he is the most likely person to actually get lynched is Wonko. However, I would also be open to a STINK lynch, seeing as that would also aid my fact finding mission. It's really nice to have been an Elim and have seen how people acted in previous games. Just in general, I'm finding that the more games I play the better I'm getting. edit; This is written in a stream of consciousness style. This means that I'm basically writing as I think, which means I might contradict myself occasionally. I also wrote this in pieces, so I'm not sure how cohesive it is. I also don't have time to edit is, so I'm adding this addendum.
  21. You seem to be excluding the possibility that I was less active over thanksgiving (Oh wait I said that a bunch already), that I may have only found reasons to be suspicious of Jondesu, and the others I've stated in the time I've had. I intend to look over the thread, as I've said previously, but I'll be traveling, so I don't know when that will happen. I'm only slightly suspicious of Dani. I guess I can see where people are coming from. But I still think Jondesu is pretty suspicious. And since Alv turned out to be a villager, I'm going to have to reevaluate. So I'll withhold my vote for now.
  22. Sometimes I just start speaking it randomly. It's so much fun. I had to memorize it a couple years back for a public speaking class. Most fun I had in that class.
  23. Thank you for the inspirational speech Alv. I'd be more inclined to change my vote if I felt like chance had ever favored me in the history of ever. So, I'm going to trust my gut on this one. Audentes Fortuna Juvat. Gotta have a cool quote in another language to combat yours. Also, I find it extremely amusing that you used that particular phrase. I mean, I know this is a Brandon Sanderson forum, but it always makes me happy when someone actually references a book outside of RP. Plus, I love Mat Cauthon.
