  1. I was betting on the chance that there would be fan translations. That's also a fair few speakers
  2. Hey guys, anyone know if there are any Esperanto translations of any of Brandon's books (or any planned/ongoing translations)? Thanks
  3. The Stick woke up. The steps were cold. Quite cold. "You lie why on floor?" Mist asked. Hoid sighed. "It felt appropriate at the time." "You are strange." "No kidding. I think I stopped existing for a moment then." "True." "Oh good. I was slightly hoping you'd say otherwise." "No. It is true." "Wonderful. Still on.. Scadrial, was it?" "True. We are still Scadrial on." "Brilliant. Time to get on with what I missed then, I suppose." The Stick picked himself off the ground. It was still quite cold. Ash was falling gently over the streets. Hoid started humming to himself. He strolled off down the road. --- Signing up as Kelen Taldar also known as Hoid also known as The Stick
  4. I read this for a thing on r/Fantasy, and I have to say, for a book I didn't really feel like I enjoyed while reading it, I was very attached to it in many ways. It managed to make me cry several times as well as laugh. Very good book.
  5. That seems oddly specific.
  6. Could someone send a new invite for me, that pne has expried.
  7. Should we make characters on our own or are we going to work on them as a group?
  8. I have some Poe on my list to read as well, though of his stuff I've only read The Raven.
  9. Thanks! I should probably read some of the Lovecraft I have on hand... The only exposure I have to Call of Cthulu is from reading Old Man Henderson multiple times.
  10. Aye! Also, do you have anything that I could quickly read over to get a grip of the rules? I haven't played Call of Cthulu before, unfortunately.
  11. I've never played it, but I'd really like to play it - the facilities for it are rather specific unfortunately. I know my dad used to play it though.
  12. There are an awful lot of people with one vote on them which is somewhat disconcerting. Luckily Nyali moved her vote onto Doc, so it's now 3 to many 1s, but the possibility for multi-lynches was on the table. Now, a lot of the reasoning going on at the moment seems a little wishy-washy, though that's likely because a lot of it is based on comparisons to previous games, an area at which I'm not too particularly versed. The only notable thing I could really come up with was a certain irony of Ecth claiming that Lopen was trying too hard to be a villager, where to me it seemed much more like he was trying too hard to be a villager himself. I would put my vote on him, but it looks like the lynch is moving towards Doctor and what I mentioned earlier is still a risk. On a sidenote, I thought the cycles were 48 hours...
  13. That seems pretty manageable. Also, I'm seconding Doc on Discord. It's much faster and also much easier to share resources on
  14. I ran a one off for some friends, and my favourite thing they did was throwing goblins into the big pool of acid in the middle and using it to splash other goblins. And of course, since this was bright luminous acid goo thing, one player used their religious symbol to focus some light into the eyes of a goblin and blinded them. Having cool environments is awesome.
  15. @Quadrophenia I think that's 4 players, which is enough to play, right? And would these be synchronous games or like play by post?
  16. We changed this morning, so I stayed up much later than intended...
  17. Could we find some players for the Call of Cthulu game that way then?
  18. Have you thought about advertising anywhere else? We could get a group together really quickly that way.
