  1. I'm not sure what defenses you want me to acknowledge? There's lots there about you defending the fact that you made a mistake, which I believe you about, something I made clear earlier on. The other defense is the one I picked up as "hypercompensating", which I found to be exaggerated, and then you claiming you were simply surprised by Ectehlion's breath count. I don't think there's a way to counter the second one, which I would consider to be a slip of the tongue which it's hard to go back on, and the latter I'm unsure what to think of. What I said earlier is that I think the breath thing is odd, that is, while it's not necessarily alignment indicative that you do make a comment about the breath count, it adds to the overall suspicion, which while not high, is the highest I have, and given I'd like there to be a lynch each round, is the reason I voted for you, as established earlier.
  2. I disagree with a couple of Bard's points, I then expanded on them and stated that I agreed with what some of what he said. There's no point in restating things Bard has already outlined. It's not the act of defending oneself that's suspicious, it's the manner thereof. And I found your specific defense suspsicious.
  3. Deflecting blame for what? I said you sound like you're overcompensating on explaining you're not a villager, I think the breath thing is odd, and so far you're my biggest suspicion. I don't think the claims levelled against Magestar make a lot of sense, thus I'd rather they're not lynched, so I voted for my biggest suspicion.
  4. I think I'm gonna put my vote on Bugsy. He's the one I'm the most suspicious of, and I think Bard has made some good points about him, as well as the ones I expanded on earlier. I'd like to avoid putting too much weight on the rule misinterpretations he has or hasn't made (though discounting them completely is of course a bad idea), though, so keep that in mind.
  5. This is a band I need to listen to more, because they are really good.
  6. A minor point, but this seems to me as you're kind of hypercompensating, trying to assure everyone that you are a Villager. If you were actually Village I wouldn't have thought it necessary to make it clear so overly. Not neccessarily alignment indicatie, but a point to note down. Also, regarding the question you did ask, it seems more relevant to someone who would be at risk of dying due to losing breaths on a regular basis - the Returned. That being said, in your post you did provide some reasoning for it. That being said, now that Elbe has amended that, it unfortunately is of less use to us.
  7. Nicce. Also, question, how would, like, skill based things be handled. Say lockpicking or negotiating?
  8. That is a good idea, but the key word is eventually. Early on its possible that an eliminator could steal the breaths and still have a fairly low breath count (I know mine would be even if it got increased). You'd have to be aware of the average breath count as well, and everyone sharing their breaths does not seem like a good idea in the least. This idea makes a lot of sense to me initially, but I guess it would only work if the lynchee was village. I suppose it is a good idea as far as salvaging as much as possible from a mistake goes.
  9. I'm sceptical of effectively forcing other players to give away their breaths. There might be numerous people who have strategies they're putting into place. The Returned would also be able to affect the vote, remember, so it's possible for them to just steer the orange vote onto someone else they want dead. It could even be used to circumnavigate protection, now that I think of it, since giving away breaths isn't an action they have to commit to. And if the person in orange chose not to give away their breaths for any of the above reasons, they'd automatically become suspect, which could blur our reads on them. So yes, sceptical of the system. Partially outright opposed to it, but in places where the returned victim dying would really hamper us, I might be supportive of it.
  10. Oh, I need to add in my character don't I. Expect it in the next day or two!
  11. I haven't unfortunately, but I keep seeing the series mentioned, so I'm more and more inclined to read it. It looks pretty interesting, and it'd be cool to see the originator of the term "Barsoomian"
  12. Just finished Blue Mars. That series was, an experience. I really, really liked them. Next I'm reading Albert Camu's L'étranger, which is going to be fun. And probably take forever.
  13. Former is water based and the latter is land based.
  14. I was under the impression it was just considered vapourware at this point.
  15. Early land-grabs result in ancestry in an area leading to stubborness about leaving. Also built up infrastructure giving an incentive to stay. Also because some people are just weird.
  16. The reason that seems most intuitive to me is that thin walls are easier to rebuild. Like, if you build your brick house and then it gets destroyed relatively often, you're wasting a lot of resources building and rebuilding that brick house. So naturally, you build it out of thinner, cheaper and quicker materials which serve fairly well at functioning as a house but require a lot less resources to replace in the event of a tornado or something therelike. But that's given I haven't done much research on the matter so really don't quote me on that.
  17. I also have a question. In terms of a percentage, how likely is the void sphere to initiate an alien apocalypse?
  18. A song which has made me cry before.
  19. I don't know a lot about alcohol, coffee, tea or hot chocolate but, man, can I tell you about mixing soda water and squash to create less sugary imitations of popular fizzy drinks
  20. Just a quick question, does anyone know if Stormwardens retain the rights to succession on Roshar? Say the son of a highprince was a stormwarden, would they inherit if the highprince died, or would it go to the next in line because they're a stormwarden?
  21. I am confused.
  22. The most fun I've had with that is dragging basically any country to the top of the page and watching as it gets projected to cover the entire top of the screen.
