  1. Today I bought “Héraldique et Blasons” from a small shop in a small town in the middle of nowhere. It's a short non fiction thing about... coats of arms? I think. I haven't really looked in it much, kind of bought it on impulse. I also bought Scott Pilgrims Precious Little Life *in colour*. I have the digital, black and white version of the book on Google play, but owning the physical thing, and in colour, feels good. And finally, “Les Légions des Poussière” which I initially misread as “Les Légions de Puissance”, *sighs*. Anyway, it's by Brandon Sanderson, and it's a book I haven't ready yet (hint, its The Rithmatist), so I'm looking forward to reading that.
  2. I'd like to point out that I was scanned a village last day, and so if corrupted, would be corrupted this night, thus I can't be saying it as a corrupted.
  3. Well that's interesting. Someone has messaged me asking to be Detained. They think they're going to be corrupted. I'm still debating whether or not to do so. In other news, is there anyone that seems a likely Wolfbrother target? Oh, and to said person, I can't protect you from anything tonight. I didn't put a detain in last turn. Oops.
  4. Isn't SA3 looking at an early 2017 release?
  5. I have an incredibly (intentionally) broken idea and this would be the best way to play it (I wouldn't want to inflict it on anyone who's looking for anything longer than a few days). I'd appreciate the testing aspect as well, of course.
  6. *Sighs* First, Fain, you're fully welcome to convert me. You'd get yourself a whitecloak. It would be wonderful. Problem being of course is now that I've pointed that out (and let's be honest, everyone was thinking this anyway), it would be quite risky for you to do so. Don't take Straw though. I'm keeping an eye on him Yes, I'm a whitecloak. I was also the person to detain Elodin night one. Unfortunately, he wasn't Fain. Oh well. I haven't Detained anyone else since. Storms, this game is turning into another LG20 for me. There's too much for me to read, and I'm struggling a lot at forming an opinion on anyone. Also, I'm now on a school residential, so I'm gonna have even less time for reading through. Just so you know.
  7. I think they consider themselves the... guiding figures? At the very least the guardians and teachers of all the spren, enough so to consider themselves their “parents”.
  8. I really need to catch up on Teen Titans. I own most of the first New 52 run digitally, but then they went and restarted it (thankfully bringing Beast Boy back) and now I just can't remember where I'm up to. Money is an issue, though hopefully the comics have decreased in price by now. Unfortunately, I believe Resurrection Man was cancelled. I really liked that guy.
  9. I just finished The Gathering Storm, and Harmony, I don't think a book has ever made me want to cry from happiness before. I paused for a toilet break in the middle of a rather memorable encounter at the end of the book and I was so angry with Rand. And then I got back. And I read the rest of the book. And it was wonderful and beautiful and I can't put into words how much I love it. It's official, I'm hooked on the Wheel of Time again.
  10. It's unlikely yes, but I'd still be confused over Elodin. And... wow... I'm not good at this whole "reading the rules" thing, am I.
  11. Right, I've finished reading through (I kind of skimmed the last 5 or so pages but eh). And, Elodin. Elodin has repeatedly tried to push conversation away from Fain and the Corrupted. Even when we weren't discussing it. During Night 1, he actually moves the conversation onto whether the Darkfriends have a Channeler. That doesn't make sense to me. Discussion of Fain is so much more useful than such a topic, a topic grounded on nothing, as well as not really anything we can deal with. Compare this to the threat of Fain and his conversions. Funnily enough, in my PM with him, he says he wouldn't mind being converted later on. He also is somewhat inconsistent with this, as on Day Two, he accuses Wilson of being Padan Fain. Despite the fact that he spent a cycle talking about how we shouldn't discuss Corrupted/Fain. And, his arguments for Wilson being Fain are incredibly weak and essentially boil down to her using semantics as part of her arguments. I don't like this inconsistency, and it makes me feel like he's trying to cover up. Especially since this happens ~2 hours after Lopen mentioned what I'd stated about how Elodin was trying to redirect conversation. All this makes me really suspicious about him being Padan Fain. And then he was detained. If Detained, he can't convert people. Yet there was a conversion. Thus Elodin cannot be Padan Fain. Storms. Except, that doesn't explain how he was adamantly switching the conversation from Corrupted to anything else (I think someone said - probably Aman - that Eliminators tend to go overboard on points to make them seem genuine and then end up not seeming it). This leaves me very confused. Unless he started as a Corrupted. There's no rules against it, Gamma hasn't confirmed anything on it (and that PAFO seemed quite trollish to me). Plus Elodin has been acting like an elim (see: vote switching, among other things). This leads me to believe that Elodin started as Corrupted, or if Gamma is really being a troll (and I've heard he can be), another Padan Fain. So yeah. In other news, there was something I picked up on which happened on Day 2. Elodin states that the channeler is basically dead in a few cycles. I really don't see why this is. I feel like he's misinterpreted the rules on the Warder-Channeler thing. It states that the Warder dies in two cycles if their Channeler dies, but not the reciprocal (and I don't think that this is me missing some insight in the rules, given the setting - for those who don't know, it's common for Warders to become almost obsessive about getting revenge on who killed their Aes Sedai, but it's not at all common for the reciprocal). The interesting thing is not Elodin himself saying this, I'm willing to believe it was a misinterpretation of the rules, but rather Winter. Winter also states this (saying that the Channeler is "doomed") and then says that they might as well reveal. See, I don't really understand what advantage the village would gain from the Channeler claiming. However, both elim teams would benefit, that is, the Darkfriends would have a target to kill and Padan Fain conveniently gains some tools. So yeah, Winter seems suspicious. While I'm at it, HS's "5 channelers" thing seems really over the top and kind of... I don't know. I get a feeling that he was really trying to defend Bard, like a teammate? It seemed a bit over the top. Nothing strong here though. Also, I'm reading Aman as village. He's playing differently to last I played with him (where I was first on a different team and then an elim with him, during the same game). He's also put some pretty good reasoning out. Mostly gut reading here, though.
  12. I was expecting this. So yeah, I think Elodin is a corrupted. I have some thoughts on who Fain and the other person who got corrupted are, but I'll post them later once I've finished going through the posts. EDIT: How will we know if there's another Whitecloak?
  13. I just realised that almost the entire duration of the game will probably take place whilst I am away and thus distracted by idiots (read: friends). Can I switch to joining the Spec doc, please?
  14. It was Elodin, but I haven't read through the bit of Day 2 (I'm going back through the game from Night 1 before I read that) where he apparently became cleared (?), so I'm not sure. EDIT: Gamma, is it possible for someone to start of as Corrupted? (other than Fain) (Just reread the rules and they don't explicitly state this couldn't happen, so... hmm)
  15. I'm going to vote for Elodin, for reasons stated mostly last turn and building suspicions from that. Sorry for low activity this turn. But storms I am tired.
  16. Now that Sart is dead and Lopen kind of dispelled most of my suspicions (I'm now unsure on him instead of suspicious), my main suspect is Elodin. I'm not gonna put a vote on now, I'd much prefer to do that tomorrow after more discussion as occurred, but it's likely that my vote will be for him when I do vote. My suspicions are a continuation of the same from yesterday, noting things such as him quickly agreeing with me and changing votes often and quick. I should probably go through and mark specific things, but I'll do that tomorrow, it's too late right now. Another thing I noticed is that he tried to discourage discussion over the corrupted despite no discussion about the corrupted occuring. However, if he was detained, then he can't be Fain, so I'm not sure if that tells anything useful. I didn't really notice anything relating to Gunshy, so I'm going to read through tomorrow and find posts they made, after which I'll put out my opinion on the matter. Now goodnight (mostly)!
  17. There's no reason that, say, the Dreamwalker ability wouldn't also cause the same message. That being said, I am leaning towards Elodin actually being detained. Both your statement of your scan being unsuccessful and that Elodin has claimed that he was detained seem reason to believe it. It's just not settles for certain. Now, I think this does imply that Elodin is an eliminator who had submitted the kill. I'm not sure why the Elims would anticipate a Detention, especially since they'd just taken such a big hit.
