  1. pretty sure Scadrial wins with or without duralumin steelpushes beating shardblades; why push away the blade when you can just push an iron ingot into their chest?
  2. pretty sure harmony is incapable of killing odium because of his intent
  3. pretty sure vin burning mists can push shardblades since she could push inquisitor spikes oh crap i read the quote again nvm
  4. HoA did say that each mist-metal pull or push was like duralumin so i guess they're somewhat comparable And I hate to drag this in from the other thread, but we have a legitimate Mistborn book quote saying that TFE can muster millions of soldiers
  5. "Aluminum and all its alloys were allomantically inert" ~AoL
  6. But in other ways, attacking the most powerful being in the Cosmere makes no sense at all...
  7. According to the coppermind, the Elendel basin matches up with the region around the ashmount Dorian. Along with the fact that the Elendel Basin is 400 miles wide, this provides an easy way to measure the size of the Final Empire. It's about 2300 miles in north and south and 2600 miles east and west, which is actually a good deal larger than Europe. There is also an urban larger than any city in 1800s Europe in Luthadel (nearly a million skaa workers in and around it) and several comparable cities in Fadrex and Urteau. 1800s Europe also mustered both Napoleon's and the Coalitions' armies as well as replacing casualties for both of them. We also have a direct quote saying that millions of troops can be mustered by Kelsier in TFE. On top of that, we have 3 instances of dominances mustering over 100,000 soldiers each (central dominance, Northern Dominance, and Western Dominance). Most likely the Western Dominance would have had even more if there hadn't been as much infighting before Yomen and Cett emerged as the main powers. So yeah, I think over a million is definitely reasonable for TFE
  8. TFE has the ability to summon "literally millions of troops" so i think their population is in the range of 50 million at least
  9. The Final Empire is super expansionist though. We just don't see that side of it since the world is already take over as of TFE. I think The Final Empire will be very eager to invade, especially if TLR knows he can escape the ashfalls and other world-ending stuff on Scadrial by escaping to another continent/world
  10. pretty sure the cognitive realm doesnt come into it as stated by OP: we have a "cosmere sea" instead
  11. ya that edit would have made it like the other 2 similar threads
  12. pretty sure soulcasters can't do that...that's probably HUNDEREDS OF CUBIC MILES of matter where we haven't seen soulcasters do more than small tasks like make food or barracks
  13. Roshar won't be able to travel by sea very well due to highstorms, the everstorm, and a general lack of seafaring knowledge that i have seen(except for that retard that sailed into a highstorm)
  14. Vin can push Kaladin's shardplate and shardblade with the mists btw
  15. nightblood's wielder, unfortunately, will probably die to coinshots before nightblood can do a lot of damage
  16. Nalthis is outnumbered more than 10 to one by a mobilized scadrial and 5 to one by roshar. With Shardplate and Shardblade Roshar should win without a problem. Nightblood can only be used for a few minutes at a time
  17. 1. Scadrial, since kandra assassins+Inquisitors+koloss+thousands of allomancers+larger population than almost every other shardworld we've seen should secure a win 2. Sel 'cause elantrians are broken and anyone who comes near them with less than half a million soldiers is screwed 3.Roshar because they have experienced armies 4.Nalthis' hegemon is a kingdom with 40,000 soldiers. FAIL no idea for any of the others
  18. use stormlight to lash yourself up and down over and over again at the same time
  19. Brass compounding and using the heat to power some kind of generator
  20. The obligators were involved because Straff was incompetent. Elend's army is organized enough in HoA to efficiently set up camp and set up a defensive perimeter quickly, and the only obligators Elend uses are scholars and scribes. Yes, the Scadrian soldiers are relatively inexperienced, but at least they don't act like the soldiers in WoK, who are supposed to be using some kind of phalanx and break formation before reaching the enemy. The Alethi army uses short spears, probably only 4 to 5 feet in length, so the koloss will still reach them easily. Also, the thick, slippery, skin of the koloss will make it hard for the spearmen to stab them, since the spear will usually catch on the skin and slide to one side or the other. Archers are useless against koloss: So the same coin attack that killed forty armored soldiers at Cett's keep "gets the attention" of koloss. And "hailstorms of arrows" does little to koloss except for killing a few of the smaller ones. I think koloss will be just as effective against Roshar as they are against Scadrial
  21. I'd say the defenders of luthadel fought pretty darn well too. They did everything possible and had 2 years of combat training. They shored up the gates, used massed archer fire to thin the koloss ranks and didnt retreat until forced. The koloss had no commamders and no ranged support and won with ease
