  1. He’s still a character in the series, just not an on-screen one. He’s not going to appear on-screen. He’s still an active antagonist though. And his ‘avatar’ will likely appear to close out Shallan’s arc.
  2. C-compounding B-joke
  3. I suspect the true story of Era 3 will be far more complicated than the little pieces we've seen. Suit and Sequence are bit players and will likely be gone by the end of Era 2.
  4. The Set is being set up for Era 3.
  5. Kelsier shaped the initial form of Survivorism utilizing Sazed’s teachings. Specifically, he knew the death of a spiritual leader would both inspire his followers AND lead to that leader’s deification. It is unlikely that Kelsier has anything to do with the modern form of Survivorism. Their rigidity and hierarchical structure would be highly unappealing to him. That said, he’s probably using them in some way. Kelsier is likely far more heavily involved with the Hunters considering this: “Now they hunt answers to what happened to us, and secrets to making it never happen again.” THIS is literally what Kelsier tells Spook at the end of SH: “Ignorance almost lost us everything. I’m not going to let that happen again.” The Hunters are the ones directly shaped by Kelsier’s philosophies and actions. Kelsier respected Leras and there was a certain recognition of him as a divinity. However, the respect was mostly more personal, rather than religious. It was a personal devotion, which is the kind a psychopath is capable of. And it can be quite intense for him, more so even than for a neurotypical person. So Kell is likely trying to follow Leras’ directive in his own way. I suspect he’s doing this by trying not to get too directly involved with Survivorism or the South and focusing his energy on... other matters, shall we say?
  6. “I doubt she knows where she is,” Marea explained. “And she’ll need food and clothing. This is the best place to find those things. And I don’t know the town well enough to know where else to look. I doubt she does either.”
  7. Marea smiled. “Not yet she doesn’t. She just escaped from some very nasty men. This is the logical place for her to end up.” She lifted a rucksack from the shelf, dropping it on the counter. “I’ll buy this now, and anything else when she comes.”
  8. Marea shrugged. “It’s my friend that needs supplies. I’m just paying. So I’ll be buying once she arrives.”
  9. Kelsier smirked, standing up as the train arrived. Definitely not, Kelsier sent back. I do have information for you though, if you can get on the train without being too obvious. Trésor nodded. “It’s about four in the afternoon.” Marea shook her head. “I’m waiting for someone, if you don’t mind.” She turned to the shelves, browsing the merchandise.
  10. Kelsier smirked. So long as you work for me, you are.
  11. Kelsier laughed. “You’re one of mine, at least for now. And I take care of my own.” He scrawled a few messy lines on a piece of foil, then sealed it with a stylized marewill crossed with two Spears. “Tell the bank Lord Elariel sent you.”
  12. @Channelknight Fadran Kelsier nodded. “Good thinking. Let me know when they contact you.” Marea didn’t both following the escapee’s trail. Instead she went to the general store. If you were confused and on the run, you’d need directions and supplies. The general store offered both.
  13. Kelsier smiled. “Glad to hear. For the record though, you’ve technically been spiked already.” He smirked, fingering the hole in his left ear.
  14. He nodded. “You’re to keep watch for details. Names, places, even accents and unusual turns of phrase. Be aware.” Then he smiled and, for once, it was genuine. “Prove yourself to me with this, and you’ll have a place among my crew.”
  15. Mistborn and Dawnshard:
  16. Kelsier gazed at her, assessing. “I would,” he said at last. “Think you’re up to it?”
  17. Marea smiled. “Thank you, but I’m good. Here you go.” She waved to the child and headed off after the escapee.
  18. As much as I adore him as a character, I wouldn’t actually want to meet Thaidakar in RL. If I entered his world though, I’d probably seek out his crew to join up. They could probably get me to Scadrial. Adolin, probably, if it’s in our world.
  19. “Oh, I didn’t think they were after us,” Kelsier said with amusement. “No, you -and they- had the misfortune of targeting a third party under my protection. And that,” he added, “is why you should always investigate before striking. Now that I know they exist, I can use them.”
  20. “I’ll give you a boxing,” Marea offered. @Channelknight Fadran “A location, some names. Oh, and they’re experimenting with hemalurgy. They won’t get far without some help though, so it’s not very concerning.”
  21. Kelsier launched himself into the air, soaring across the town toward the station. He landed lightly, ensued his glasses were firmly in place, then settled down to wait inside. Marea headed toward the building Grandfather had indicated. The front door was open and she heard cries of alarm from within. The prisoner had escaped, it seemed. Pity. A rescue would have been fun. Marea headed over to an urchin sitting near the building. “Have you seen anyone come out of there?” She asked. @Gneorndin
  22. Meet me at the train. I need to speak with some of my people. He stopped tapping Atium, returning to adulthood. As he buttoned his shirt he gave instructions to the local operatives. They’d keep an eye on the base for him. ”Find out who was screaming,” Kelsier noted as he left. “It could be something we could use.” The young woman nodded. “Of course, Grandfather. Shall I rescue them?” Kelsier shrugged. “Up to you. Just make sure it doesn’t trace back to me if you do.” Marea smiled mischievously. “Don’t worry. I’ll use my Set face.” Her features shifted slightly, briefly becoming those of a stern matron before reverting to her previous youthful state. Kelsier laughed, ruffling Marea’s hair. “You do that. Contact me when it’s done.”
  23. Kelsier walked away from the building, returning to the bar. Ready to leave? he sent to Adrienne. I’m done here. @Channelknight Fadran
