  1. But we’ve seen this exact thing done before with breath. “After opening the cage, Vivenna had taken the Breath back from the thread. She hadn’t stowed it somewhere else. And, with the extra awareness she had, she thought she saw something. The girl’s BioChromatic aura—the normal one that all people had—flickered just slightly. It was faint. Yet with the first Heightening, Vivenna could have sworn she saw it. “But Denth told me it was all or nothing, she thought. You have to give away all the Breath you hold. And you certainly can’t give away part of a breath. Denth, it had been proven in other instances, was also a liar. “Vasher stood, the girl climbing back into his arms. Vivenna walked up and was surprised to hear the girl talking. “Where’s Daddy?” she asked. Vasher didn’t reply. “I’m dirty,” the girl said, looking down. “Mommy doesn’t like it when I get dirty. The dress is dirty too.” “Vasher began walking. Vivenna hurriedly caught up. “Are we going home?” the girl asked. “Where have we been? It’s late, and I shouldn’t be out. Who’s that woman?” “She doesn’t remember, Vivenna realized. Doesn’t remember where she’s been…probably doesn’t remember anything of the entire experience.”
  2. W&W take place in the timeskip between SA 5&6 (which means that if Kell appears in TLM Wax will definitely not be asking the correct questions). Since we’re near that point (say, six months?) and W&W has fairly decent time gaps between books, AoL probably takes place a maximum of our or five years into the gap. So Harmony has already sent, or is about to send, Palm to Wax.
  3. This is my theory. Kell is the more-mortal version of Odium. He wants to ensure the other shards don’t interfere with Scadrial; how better than to ensure there are none to do so?
  4. Initially it was supposed to be.
  5. I suspect Thaidakar is a mispronunciation/ actual Scadrian word for Survivor. So he may just be using his old moniker. Also, it’s still Raysium. Like Atium and Lerasium retain their names. Harmony was an entirely new shard, so has a different metal.
  6. Mraize says Thaidakar has a similar problem to Kalak. Ie. He can’t go offworld and will eventually go insane due to being a cognitive shadow. That’s how I read it anyway, which basically confirmed who he was for me.
  7. She got it from RoW, so it shouldn’t be on here. It should be spoilered at least.
  8. Shallan also is technically bonded to two Cryptics (she still seems to have a kind-of bond with Testament), which may mean her powers act differently.
  9. It may be an automatic effect of having Breath, which would explain how Vasher did the same thing (wipes part of someone’s memory) in Warbreaker. Memory may auto-default to being stored in Breath of people who have them.
  10. If: Odium can’t see Renarin or anything around him is important, then yes.
  11. Kell appears to still be stuck on Scadrial, so he probably wasn’t there himself. His emissaries, avatar, followers, etc. probably were. Khriss and Nazh were almost certainly there. Cultivation is everywhere on Roshar to a degree, so she was definitely present.
  12. I’m just waiting until we can discuss this on the Mistborn forum. W&W takes place in the timeskip between SA 5&6 and Era 3, where Kell will play a role, takes place about a hundred years later. So we’ll have a LOT to theorize about. As an aside, this also would be indicative of how dangerous Kell can be. He’s stuck on another planet and STILL managing to be a major player on this one. Which is kind of terrifying... and kind of awesome. It’s not like he’s a Shard doing it; he’s essentially just a very powerful Spren stapled to a human body. I’m surprised Hoid hasn’t asked Saze to reign him in though. Next letter?
  13. She restored its flesh just fine, despite the tower causing problems.
  14. Kell: Lightweaver or Willshaper. Possibly Stoneward (he’s certainly stubborn enough) or Dustbringer (though I’m not sure how much he’d care for the whole ‘self-mastery’ thing). He’s not rational enough for the Elsecallers nor honorable enough for Windrunners. He definitely isn’t one for any laws but his own, so no Skybreakers, and he’s a neurological psychopath which eliminates Edgedancers by default. He’s not a Truthwatcher and he would make a terrible Bondsmith. Elend: Bondsmith or Truthwatcher. Possibly Windrunner, especially early on. Vin: Windrunner, Edgedancer, possibly Lightweaver, Dustbringer or Stoneward. Saze: Truthwatcher or Bondsmith. Maybe Edgedancer. Tindwyl: Elsecaller. Marsh: Skybreaker, Windrunner or Lightweaver. Possibly Elsecaller. Breeze: Lightweaver. Alriane gets this one, too. Clubs: Stoneward or Windrunner Ham: Truthwatcher or Elsecaller. But I’d suspect the former. Spook: Willshaper or Dustbringer. Later on in life: Bondsmith.
  15. Considering the chicken seemed to speak and Lift couldn’t restore its feathers... I’m not so sure that’s a bird.
  16. Formless being male was actually on the SA game cards. Which had several spoilers hidden in them. The Nine were another.
  17. Yes, but Thaidakar appears to be stuck on his homeworld. So he’d have to share it, if only until he gets off. Bigger proof is Hoid noting that he’d beat him up again - as far as we know Hoid has only been able to beat up one person: Kell.
  18. Yeah... who would have thought this crazy theory would have turned out to be RIGHT? I mean, it always FELT like something Kell would do, but I still can’t quite believe Brandon actually did it!
  19. I noted in an earlier topic that we haven’t SEEN Thaidakar. Also that Kell doesn’t listen to Brandon. I’ve felt almost from the beginning that the Ghostbloods felt like Kell’s crew. I guessed he was the Sovereign for similar reasons; it just FELT like him. And the GBs have always felt like Kell’s work. I don’t know that Brandon planned for Kell to be Thaidakar; I think Kell may have informed Brandon that he was. B: What, letting you survive your own death when I said I wouldn’t wasn’t enough? K: Nope. B: I even let you come back to life! K: Not your wisest plan, true. B: Not like I had a choice... Do you HAVE to interfere on Roshar? K: Grins evilly while tossing a coin. B: Sigh... Fine. But no one is going to actually see you. K: Shrugs. I’ll survive - and they’ll see me in the back five. B: No they wo - rusts. I’m pretty sure this is how most of their conversations go. (We’re totally seeing Thaidakar in the back five.) The only other character who controls his story to that extent is Hoid, and Brandon and Hoid are far more in sync.
  20. El is Hebrew for God. Also ‘to’.
  21. So... I guess we can put this in the ‘not so crazy after all’ file...
  22. I think the Mistborn forum is going to go insane as soon as we can discuss this outside this forum... Especially since W&W takes place in the timeskip between books 5&6.
  23. It’s apparently a light blond, per my Mistborn reread. Which... is still a huge range. It does eliminate honey and copper though, both of which are too dark. It can arguably eliminate pure yellow and gold, which usually aren’t described as ‘light’ due to the depth of the hues. That leaves regular flax blond, strawberry, dirty, sandy, and ash, with platinum and white remaining unlikely possibilities. The lighter version of yellow, straw, becomes an option as well. I need to put up pictures at some point.
  24. Curiosity and Imagination were theorized, and Whimsy could embody similar concepts.
