    Eryn offered him a delicate chocolate creation. Dark milk chocolate formed elegant swirls and white milk chocolate formed flowers. Clear sugar glass made it look like pieces were floating. Golden taffy ribbons floated from the structure and a translucent golden butterfly seemed ready to take flight. Eryn was very proud of the piece. ”Try this,” she suggested.

    Eryn shook her head. “Chocolate liquor. Comes from ferment, roasted, ground beans. Need for chocolate.”

    Eryn nodded. “Will need to roast, ground. Ferment first, of course. Then make liquor. Separate cocoa from butter. Much preparation to make good chocolate.” She tan a finger along the lower rim of her mask, thinking. “Also marble. Good for tempering.”

    “Thank you,” Eryn said. “Maybe make more, if have ingredient. Can make lots good chocolate.”

    I would think only when the Lerasium is actually being burned. Breath is ongoing Investiture; the regular Connection seems to be able to be hidden. Once Hoid consumed the Lerasium he wasn’t utilizing Preservation’s Investiture directly. Breath and Mist are the same type of thing. I’d assume Saze would notice if Hoid started drawing on the Mists.

    Eryn smiled. “You may.” She reaches into her pack, selecting a small sampling of chocolate. A truffle with caramel cream, one with a citron jell, a delicate heart filled with the rich, smooth, ganache her master had named her for. She added a small chocolate covered pretzel spear to the pile. The pointed tip was formed of spun sugar glass that sparkled in the light.

    The Radiant Quiz pegs him as a Willshaper too. Kell definitely seeks personal freedom. He is one of the most autonomous people in the Cosmere. He also likes to travel and explore. He hates being barred or controlled. And he did want to help the Skaa. He also wanted revenge and he wanted to prove he wasn’t beaten. These things are not mutually exclusive. I can definitely see Kelsier attracting a Reacher. I actually think Willshapers start out a bit more selfish than most other Orders, with its members starting out seeking personal freedom and moving toward seeking freedom for others.

    I wonder if Kelsier didn’t just tell him and Spook claimed to figure it out by accident? Kell held Preservation, so he probably knew about the different metals. And they were in contact and studying the metallic arts. It makes sense that this would come up.

Words most powerful of all.”
