  1. Eryn nodded slowly. “I understand. I am from far away. I do not know when I am going home.” If she did well here, she might be sent off of Scadrial entirely and not return for decades - even centuries. Time was strange in the Realm of Mists. “But now you have place. I keep you with me. Keep safe.”
  2. “I am Eryn, child. From where do you come?”
  3. Eryn laughed lightly. “I not have windows child. Nor I care much for them. But I am glad to care for you. You are smart child; I can teach much.”
  4. Kelsier grinned, something vicious in his smile. “I’d say your missing the point, David. If it gets me off Scadrial I’m in. Much as I love my homeworld, after 300 years a change of scenery is desperately needed.”
  5. “Am from far away,” Eryn explained. “This language strange to me. You stay with us now? You help me, maybe teach language better. I give food, place stay, clothing, education?” She reaches into her pack, offering a small wrapped truffle, one with a creamy caramel center. Eryn like children. They were always so delighted with sweets. And the Sovereign was said to be fond of them too, especially urchins like this child. Supposedly they reminded him of his daughter. Eryn didn’t know if that was true, but she doubted he would mind if she took in this one.
  6. Eryn smiled at the girl. “You are very young being alone. But also agile. Lithe. Acrobat? Or thief?”
  7. Yes, you may. Just credit me please. And Kell is canonically a cat person!
  8. Eryn nodded. “Going to see mine. Welcome to join. Come sit.” She tapped the seat next to her. This girl was interesting. She was the youngest Northerner Eryn had had the chance to interact with.
  9. The Ghostbloods make an offer - and woe betide those who think they can refuse. Top, from left to right: Mraize, Iyatil, Kelsier, Spook Bottom: Shallan The cat is a random cat Kelsier picked up outside. Bonus points to those who know their Godfather lore. (Do I think Kell being the Godfather of the Cosmere mafia is both awesome and totally fitting for the character? Yes. Yes, I do.)
  10. I think it was to avoid spoiling things for people who read Mistborn after RoW. Can you imagine how confusing Kell’s death would be in that scenario?
  11. Eryn’s eyes flicked briefly over Basil. An interesting reaction from an interesting man.
  12. I kind of want him to become a Lightweaver for that reason. Except my head keeps making him one with a corrupted Spren, like Glys.
  13. Kelsier laughed, tapping lightly at the spike in his right eye socket. “This one doesn’t do to badly.” He sipped at his drink, left eye sparkling with mirth. “Come on, David. I know you can do better than that. You want me to join you on this trip - convince me!”
  14. Scadrial’s home because it was my entry to the Cosmere. And it’s characters actually help when I’m depressed unlike certain Stormlight characters (cough..Kaladin..cough) who make me suicidal. So Scadrial it is.
  15. “This is good question,” Eryn affirmed. “Why enter this way? Was very good jump.”
  16. Eryn tilted her head slightly. “Is common in North to do enter wagon so?”
  17. Eryn glared at Sage. “Do not need poke me.” She glanced over the notebook. “Very good. Think more. Figure out. Talk more later.”
  18. Kelsier poured out two glasses of the rich, ruby wine, handing one to David. He settled in one of the chairs, idly swirling the glass, his single hazel eye sharp. “I’m already immortal, David,” he reminded the other man. “I don’t need the stone.” He grinned teasingly at his friend. “Mind you, I don’t suggest trying my method. Initiation is a killer.”
