  1. Admittedly, I’ve known that since HoA. And the annotations confirmed that guess. And then I guessed certain other things quite early (cough... 2014... cough). And figured out the Sovereign halfway through BoM. (And promptly dropped my kindle and did a happy dance.) It was still jaw dropping and chilling to see that Coppermind memory. And then to discover Secret History existed? That was just the icing on the cake.
  2. Nope! This person has a sibling. This person is very good at their job. This person’s job is very dangerous.
  3. No to all. This person has a sibling. This person is very good at their job.
  4. Kelsier would be very happy if you did that. He’d rather not rap against his brother.
  5. I don’t know, but I’ve theorized that’s Harmony + Autonomy would be Glory. And I don’t know WHY it would be, just that I keep coming back to it.
  6. Oh! Yay! Hum... This person has a sibling
  7. Kelsier snorts. “Come on, Marsh. You can do better than that! Admit it - I did a good job with them.”
  8. Eryn smiled warmly at the child. “Perhaps. If he joins us.”
  9. @Condensation If none of us are right, can you give us the answer?
  10. Kelsier dropped into the seat next to his brother, grinning. “Hey, Marsh! What did you think of my kingdom?”
  11. Eryn nodded approvingly at Ledashwi. “Good. Take initiative. Use what have to get what need.” She poked Drae sharply. “You soother. Strong one. Can use that. Move past fear. Power useless if not used.” She nodded sharply, moving toward the stairs. “Come. Our Master is here. Maybe he join us. Or not. But watching. Like see initiative,” she added pointedly.
  12. I mean, Kalak’s been working on the problem for 4000 years, so... It’s been 350 years for Kell. First ten he was working on getting a body. Then he spends a few decades rebuilding South Scadrial. So let’s say we’re at 290. Then he really starts feeling that he can’t get off world. But he doesn’t know why and knows he doesn’t know enough to figure it out. So he sets that aside. Then he starts building the Ghostbloods as an organization. Let’s say this takes ten/fifteen years to really get moving off Scadrial. Now we’re at 275. He spends the next few decades gathering information. Around 250 Spook steps down and joins him. Meanwhile, Kell has discovered Cosmere politics and starts getting involved because, well, Kelsier. He can’t not. The next century is spent studying, learning about Cosmere politics, infiltrating governments and growing the Ghostbloods. At some point Kelsier gets distracted/needs a new project and sends the GBs off to find Yolen. Then he wants to know what’s hiding on Patji. He has the GBs find a passage to Sel. He starts dealing with Autonomy. He discovers that Drifter is rather more than he expected. He’s very busy and traveling offworld isn’t as important as learning everything he can and consolidating as much power as possible for himself and Scadrial. At some point during all of this he and Harmony have a (possibly manufactured) falling out. Also, he’s doing stuff on Scadrial. And Trell starts becoming an issue. About 150 years ago he really starts working at the Connection problem, which he now knows is a bigger problem than just his inability to get off Scadrial. And then works on that, but also on other things. It’s not his sole focus. There are more important things - like that idiot trying to bring back the Desolations which could potentially free Odium. And Harmony’s increasing lack of Autonomy (maybe they should steal him some...? Put it on the list.) And those Set people are causing trouble. And Drifter’s still being an annoyance. And he has to convince the Ghostbloods he can kinda worldhop even though he totally can’t. And some stupid chit on Roshar actually thinks she can declare war on him. (Ha! She has no idea...) He’s very busy! But, well, it’s perturbing. Annoying. It’s not URGENT, but... He’d really like to see those other worlds... He’s definitely going to get it before that idiot Herald though!
  13. Eryn turned to the concierge. “Need room with two beds for me an child. These ones,” she pointed at Drae and Ladashwi, “want rooms near mine.” She paused, then added, “separate. Not together.” The concierge nodded. “Are you paying together?” ”I pay mine,” Eryn answered. “They, theirs.”
  14. I was confused as to why Fezzik quoted me. I got why you were asking, so I answered.
  15. Eryn nodded at her recruits. “I give us rooms near each other, ja? So we can meet easy?”
  16. I’m aware. That’s why I answered ‘no’.
  17. Eryn felt her Connection to her master strengthen as she entered the inn, before it faded again. He was here then and wanted her to know. She would look for him later, if he did not find her first. For now she needed to arrange a room for herself and Zola. She smiled fondly at the girl before heading toward the concierge.
  18. If all oaths align, sure! But if part of the GB oaths are ‘don’t work against GB interests’ and Hoid is working against those interests then I don’t see how Sig could give him information on GB activities. That’s why I don’t think Mraize recruited him. However, a GB could be a Windrunner. We know this because Vin was very Windrunner inclined - and that didn’t prevent her from working with Kelsier. So I can definitely see a Windrunner being able to be a GB. And I don’t think that one would be considered a traitor. If the GBs don’t want Odium free, then there’s no issue in Sigzil serving the coalition toward that end. Remember: GBs are independent agents. Sigzil could easily be serving both groups. Problems only occur if the Coalition and the GBs start working against one another.
  19. You need to read the Thrawn trilogy. I have read White Sand. Prose and Graphic Novel. TPBM prefers the prose to the graphic novel because it wasn’t a good graphic novel.
  20. It really would. The question is if a Windrunner can be a double agent. I’m not sure they can, because it might require conflicting oaths.
  21. What he can do: cause massive amounts of trouble. What he can’t do: Worldhop. Yet. Everything inbetween is fair game...
  22. Nope. At least the prequels had a direction and told a cohesive story. The sequels were a mess. Admittedly I’ve never watched 8&9. TPBM thinks the sequels should have been The Thrawn Trilogy, resetting the EU from its best starting point and keeping the Solo kids, Mara Jade, Ben Skywalker, the original knights of Luke’s academy, the Solo kids’ generation of knights, and Saba Sebatyne (‘cause she was awesome and the only good part of the Yuuzhan Vong war) and told better stories with them. (Those were the characters I grew up with. Literally, in the case of J&J. Rey and co. have nothing on them.)
  23. No, I don’t disagree. But I think the GBs would consider it quite coup to recruit one of Hoid’s own students. We know they actively recruit from other organizations. And an important Windrunner would be a nice feather in their cap. Let’s put it this way: can you see Kelsier not trying to snag one of Hoid’s protégées given the slightest opportunity? If Sig is a GB though, I don’t think it was Mraize who recruited him.
