He stopped walking, instead kneeling down to the girl’s level. “You listen to Eryn, okay? She’ll take good care of you and keep you safe. But you have to let her do it.”

    As they walked down the hall a tall man wearing a pair of large dark glasses stepped out and joined them. “I think I broke your friend,” he noted. Eryn scowled. “What you tell him?” ”I didn’t,” the man laughed. “Sage walked in, so I left. I wanted him to meet me on the roof, but I guess he went into shock instead.” He glanced over at Zola. “Hello Zola. I’m Kell. It’s nice to meet you.”
