  1. Nope! @Matrim's Dice nope! This character has died at least once. This character has had a child. This character died doing something noble.
  2. You’re welcome! Wish I could do it here too... he’s so cute!
  3. Nope! Specify, please. This character has died at least once. This character has had a child.
  4. Kelsier waved as Marie flew off. Then he returned to the fight, a wild grin on his face. He flung himself back into the air, then pulled on the tent spikes. He slammed back in to the ground, pewter flairing, a whirlwind of mist and metal swirling about him. For a moment he could almost pretend he was somewhere, somewhen, else, fighting in a world of mist and ash. Not that this was much of a fight. Meens’ men were decent enough, Kelsier supposed, but they weren’t up to facing a Mistborn, let alone a Fullborn. Forget a Fullborn and an Inquisitor. In mere moments he’d eliminated his half of the camp. From the screams the other side emitted, he could assume Marie was having a similarly successful time. Shrugging, he released his makeshift weapons, allowing them to drop to the bloody ground, before heading back to find Marie.
  5. Considering that Leras’ plans ended up hinging on a Cognitive Shadow stealing a specific device from a group of worldhoppers... I have my doubts about the sense of Shards. Then again, maybe that’s why it worked. No one could have anticipated a plan quite that insane!
  6. Who gave it to the not exactly sane assassin. Which somehow resulted in the sword ending up exactly where it needed to be... Why do Shardic plans seem to revolve on incredibly unlikely probabilities?
  7. The coronavirus thing was a coincidence. The Scadrian common cold has been causing issues since WoR.
  8. Wah! I’m out of reputation! Oh, well... at least I upvoted on Reddit...
  9. I’m literally reading this in HoA right now. Only reason it even occurred to me. This character has died at least once.
  10. Kelsier smiled. “Right or left?” He pushed the pegs of a nearby tent, causing it to lift up and envelop a trio of criminals. He shook his head in mock disappointment, pulling one of the pegs back toward himself, then pushing and pulling it back and forth repeatedly to impale the men struggling to free themselves. He caught the bloody peg as it returned, then sent it flying again to impale a woman raising a gun in shaking hands. She fell, the peg already moving to impale another.
  11. Kelsier smiled, further compounding his Connection to Marie, then reaching out with a powerful Soothing. For a moment he could sense the woman in the back of his mind, held her will in the palm of his hand. Then he let her go. Have fun, he sent her, landing nearby. Aloud, “Care for a partner?” He casually slammed his dagger through the chest of a fleeing man. These people had tried to kill Zola. They weren’t leaving alive.
  12. She’s able to transition fully, which is a bit more than other Lightweavers seem to be able to manage. Admittedly, we don’t know if that’s unique to Shallan or not. Either way, it’s pretty far off topic from what it takes to make a Shadow. Things that can make a Shadow: Direct Shardic intervention: Returned, Heralds Concentrated Investiture: Kelsier (previously) Holding a Shard: Slivers in general, Tanavast and Kelsier specifically (as the rest chose to leave) Merging with a Splinter: Tanavast did this, but we don’t know if it was necessary for him to remain or not. Other: Threnodite Shades It seems probable that a Bondsmith in the right place could anchor a Shadow.
  13. Shallan can travel between Realms, so that seems to be a bit more than just slipping into Shadesmar.
  14. I have a drawing called ‘An offer she can’t refuse’ where Shallan meets Thaidakar and the GBs. Mostly because I envision the GBs as the Cosmere mafia. It’s in the RoW gallery. You’re welcome to use it. (Although the picture completely spoils Thaidakar’s identity.) You are also welcome to use any of my tarot cards.
  15. Ishar creates a Perpendicularity too. And Elsecallers and Willshapers and some Lightweavers (Shallan) can also create them. That’s how they transition to Shadesmar. The point is that direct Shardic intervention isn’t necessary; indirect may be, but there are probably other ways too. Either way, 5th Ideal Radiance won’t allow someone to stick around.
  16. He smiled, then flung himself into the air, mist swirling about him. There was a joy to allomancy, a pure freedom. The nights belonged allomancers, the nights and the mists and the stars. I wonder, he thought, what it would be like beneath a moon? He’d seen them in others’ memories, strange, reflective, spherical objects that just sat in the sky. But he’d yet to see one with his own eyes. I will find a way, he promised himself.
  17. Bondsmiths can create Perpendicularities though, as can Willshapers and Elsecallers. So that actually is important, because I suspect the first of those COULD create a Cognitive Shadow.
