Thanks, Carola!

Next most relevant to understanding jokes on this forum is probably the Stormlight Archive. (Although you will want to read Warbreaker before Words of Radiance, for sure.)

Re: Codex Alera. I just got to the part with the herdbanes and just had to stop and go, whoaaaa, have we traveled back in time? All I could think of was the book Darkwing by Kenneth Oppel, which shows some giant freaky prehistoric predatory birds.

For offering "cookies" in the Intro forums.

I am trying to follow too many TV shows at once... Shadowhunters, Gotham, Agent Carter, Legends of Tomorrow...

I think that's actually one reason why I like Isaac so much--he reminds me of Harry.

BEWARE THE COOKIES. They're really hemalurgic spikes. *bows* Welcome to the Shard. We hope you enjoy your stay. *cackles madly as she leaves the room and locks the door behind her*

Let's not spoil the whole original Mistborn trilogy for him... That's the kind of thing that's better to discover on your own so you can react like this:

Granted, but you must stay in that room all day until your housemates are all asleep, and you get awfully lonely. I wish for a dozen donuts. -
I have always felt this way about Mitosis too. Thank you for your very eloquent rant that put my feelings into words.

For having a hilarious quote in your signature.

I cannot wait to read Revisionary! Unfortunately none of the libraries I have access to own a copy at this point and I can't afford to buy it yet. Also, I finally started reading the first book of the Codex Alera tonight, and I'm already very much hooked.

Sunbird furrows her brow in concentration for a moment, beaming when a mug of rootbeer appears in her hand. She takes a sip and sighs happily.

Oh, well I guess I can look at that as good news then, since I also love the Dresden Files and would hate to be left hanging without the next one of those for years on end. I also loved the cats in Aeronaut's Windlass. I have lived with a cat or cats ever since I was about 4, and I think Jim Butcher perfectly captured their arrogance and aloofness in Rowl.

Lol. XD I can understand that. I have the same problem sometimes with other aspects of my life. I'll keep telling myself, "You have to do X and Y and Z this weekend!" But then the weekend comes and I end up sleeping in and then spending all day on the Internet.

I'm literally crying now...

I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It was storming AWESOME, and I'm sad that GoodReads doesn't even have a release date for book 2 yet...

Sunbird grins widely. "I'd love to have an emergency stash of root beer!" she exclaims excitedly. Then her face falls slightly. "I just hope I can manage not to spill it everywhere. That always happens to me at parties," she says, sighing.

Your art is far from horrible. I was mega-impressed by your drawings of various guns on your Deviant Art. I have only attempted to draw a small variety of things, so I'm envious of the versatility of your skill.

Hahaha. Even in paperback, you could probably do some damage with Words of Radiance. Especially if you have a good throwing arm.

That depends entirely on the cookie. If it's a "cookie" from the Dark Alley, the rootbeer wins, hands down. If it's an oatmeal raisin cookie, the rootbeer also wins. If it's a warm, gooey, chocolate-chip cookie (FREE of hemalurgic spikes), then I'd say cookies are better than rootbeer.
