  1. I guess I'll leave a goodbye message here as well. This was the very first long-form RP I was a part of, and it had a huge influence on me. I learned how to write more than just an action and a response, and how to write a longer message that integrated with the other people in the RP. I've gone on to be a very active RPer in my D&D community, and I've helped new players learn how to write collaborative narratives.

So, thank you, Reckoners RPG. I'm with Coma--here's to the next thing ^.^

  2. I'm realizing now that I'm (to my own shock) older than a bunch of you, at 18 and a college Freshman.

Probably the closest thing to any of that that I've done is going against my school on a matter of policy (the school's own policy!) and winning, because I was able to prove they weren't following it.

I’ve pulled Red into my webcomic— which I started! It’s brokenmasks.smackjeeves.com ! Please check it out— although she’s not gonna be introduced for a couple of arcs. I might bring Kokichi into some other stuff, but there’s a lot of problems involved with their existence anywhere— notably, the fact that if I’m the only writing, they get ridiculously unbalanced for meta reasons. I might work Red into my monster of the week campaign, actually, depending on how things go. (I’m the DM/Keeper and it’s set in the SCP Foundation Universe because I have a new addiction.)

Speaking of Oregon characters showing up in unexpected places, Nighthound hopped into my dream last night and hunted me for sport! It was only him in a loose dreamlike sense, but it was still somewhat yikes! @Edgedancer, he leaves one heck of an impression!

Link to the webcomic is broken. I'll check it out when it works ;)

Is it just me or is this RP basically just 4 people now?

People are busy with other stuff I'd assume. I'll be posting even less in about a month because I'm about to start college.

I did that with Drake once because I had a character who was better at predicting other's actions then I am, and they should have predicted Drake's response, as the conversation was leading that way.

See that's why I always either make my characters on the slow side, mentally (e.g., Phytomagnet getting easily fooled by Kokichi) or absurdly smart to the point of clairvoyance (because then I can just ask people what they're planning).

I had an idea for a character that would fill that role well.  Maybe they can enter the city during the timeskip?

Why shouldn't they already be in the city? Would give them much better credentials. We can insert them into some character's pasts in the WHiCannon thread.

Halefyre coming in here made me think of something.

In situations when we are waiting on someone to move the main story along, would it be possible, reasonable, fun to have separate side stories going on? With WHiO, there were different cities. It wasn't just Portland. Now, I'm not suggesting a What Happened in Calgary, but perhaps little slice of life stories that are happening in the background, allowing us to introduce characters we are itching to write but don't have a good way of introducing to the main thread.

I'd be totally down to do this. Might actually try out a couple of ideas tonight. What should we call the new thread?

Unfortunately, Sazedezas is holding up a lot of things. We need Bloodlight's response to Liam, we need Karabiner to teleport in so we can set up his assassination, and maybe something from Arachnerd's perspective might be helpful.

Besides those things, Jade and/or Nathan's perspective could be interesting. A little more clarification on whoever notices Nicroburst might be helpful.

Anyone else who wants to claim (more) territory in the city? That could include Armageddon, Phytomagnet (though I'm not sure about that), or Blank (even less sure).

    That's my thoughts.

EDIT: kenod, bit of a dumb question. Why would your character call herself Shade if she's not aware of the only power that would designate her as a 'shade?'

I can confirm that Phytomagnet is not currently planning on claiming any extra territory. Other than the fact that he currently has one of the largest areas in the city, Epoch probably wouldn't be too happy with Phyto trying to stake an independent claim.

Can we ask the mods to find out the email address he used to join the Shard and email him or would that be unethical?

Coma might be willing to, since he's contributed a lot and knew Sazedezas on here.

Same here. Probably good too, since Stormlight only had two books at that point and Mistborn is better than Elantris and Warbreaker (to me at least).

0.o I started before the first Stormlight came out.

Yay. I've just finished the first Mistborn trilogy. Now to go through the rest of Sanderson's works, which I should've done a loong time ago.

EDIT: Is Epoch really going to agree so quietly?

Woohoo! Mistborn was my first proper exposure to him (other than Wheel of Time), loved it.

Okay, I hate to both double post and put people on the spot, and I know many of you are busy but...

@Sazedezas: We could use you on the meeting document both to write for Arachnerd and Bloodlight/Nate. The coffee shop scene seems finished, so would either you or @Hemalurgic Headshot post it or revise it or something? Also I'm not sure what's happening with Karabiner, but I assume he's coming in soon?

@Kidpen, @winter devotion, @kenod, @The Young Pyromancer, @Voidus, @TwiLyghtSansSparkles, @Weirdpersonx: You all have characters either at or watching the meeting. Some of them may want to react or say something to respond to Epoch's question. (Armageddon, Kokichi, Amethyst, Nicroburst, Blank, Viktor, Neverthere, Jade/Nathan, Phytomagnet...)

...Is that everybody? Sorry if I'm being bossy, rude, and/or insensitive.

I'll try and get to that today. I've got jet lag from my trip right now so I'm super tired.

You just haven't really been posting, so I thought you weren't very active.  Though to be fair, my internal ratio is messed up right now because I've been working in PMs.

Nah, I've barely posted. Too much life happening to dedicate time to this. But if there's anything specific you guys need, I'll happily do it as soon as I can.

  14. Just now, The Young Pyromancer said:

I can edit it if necessary, as I don't think WeirdPersonX views the thread much anymore.

I read every single post actually ^.^ though if anyone has posted anything in the actual thread I haven't seen it, I don't get notifications for that for some reason. I must've missed something though, what's up?

  15. I just sent you guys friend requests on Discord. Mine is Weirdpersonx#5543. If you'd like, you could all join my server (it's mostly inactive) and I'll give you all a tag saying you're from here. That way people can just @.Reckoners and we'll be good.

Whoever is taking over Epoch from Drake, or if we turn him into a no-show, whoever is the most senior Epic and the most likely to be pissed off by Epoch not showing up. Either that or maybe whoever is doing security.

I'm security...I can put that on my queue for today, not sure when I'll have it done though. AP testing is starting soon, so I have a lot of studying, plus other projects.
