  1. WoBs: Also, have you read The Sunlit Man? If not, do you intent to read it?
  2. I like RoW better than OB . . . Definitely ^this^ That said, each of the first five does have different strengths and weaknesses. Non-Content Spoiler - RoW:
  3. It's more that many people migrate to the Discord over the foums (I cannot understand why, Discord is great for what it does, but it does not work well for book discussion, to me). Please see: Main Thread - forum users opinions - Chaos - about Discord (post in that thread)
  4. My apologies - I should know better to check the timestamps. Thank you very much for circling back. Have a great day.
  5. This is Brandon, it could mean that - but it could also mean that "Aviar Bonds" will be important for navigation. For that matter, we do not know if an Aviar with an ability related to Allomantic Bronze could not also be another form of Navigation. We also have: Hope that helps
  6. Just to be clear, the link from @Qianweilian is a joke thread about the worst (most confusing) way to read Cosmere.
  7. Welcome to the Shard. Please consider an Intro Post to let us know what you have or have-not read (whichever list is shorter). Also, please consider checking out the Sharder FAQ for some useful forum info and tips. Can you perhaps clarily "tweeted to @GraphicAudio"means somebody at Dragonsteel? Tor? Some other entity? The issue is we do not know to whom (if anybody) Brandon sold the Graphic Audio Rights (they are separate and distinct from regular Audiobook rights). We know Tor had the publishing rights and Dragonsteel had the Special Edition Rights. So, depending on who told you to ask here changes the situation - and if it was not the holder of the Dramatic Abridgment (Graphic) Audio; then thay are the ones that should be asked because only they can make a decision to execute those rights or not. That said, if this thread is just for you to have a body of evidence on if people are intersted in such a product, then it should serve that purpose well (though a poll might give more concrete data that can be used to support your request). Hope that helps
  8. 38.9% to be precise (7 of 18)
  9. Yes, Dor as it naturally manifests in Sel's Shadesmar - which is not the same as Purified Dor seen outside of Sel's Shadesmar (e. g. M:SH, TLM, etc.) We just do not yet know what process they are doing to safely harvest it and manipulate it's properties. The only instance I can recall where Dor may have still been in a plasma state away from Sel was (Stormlight Archive Spoilers)
  10. But, it is not a liquid, technically. All Cosmere - realmatics spoilers Hope that helps
  11. Thank you for the Intro Post, please consider checking out the Sharder FAQ for some useful forum info and tips. The substance used by Hoid in Secret History is implied to be Purified Dor. WoB: Hope that helps
  12. The Malwish never had the Ash as their sole protection from the sun (it still has not been revealed what Rashek did for the Southerners so he would not have to change their biology like he did with the Northerners) and they were the opposite side of the planet (the side Vin did not point in full sunlight that destroyed everything). Brandon refuses to answer that before Era 3. Nope - last update (State of the Sanderson) and WoI: Hope that helps
  13. Seems kinda unfair when we know little to nothing about half of the options. . .
  14. It was stated outright that he was a Sadeas Agent - WoR Ch 58: Hope that helps
  15. The problem is that none of them are known to have survived (except for Human) - there were no Caches out in the burnlands to survive what Ruin did to the continent, followed by Vin's mistakes, followed by Sazed's remaking of Scadrial. But they are not - the water you see Era 1 was an Inland Sea (see WoB below) - that was changed when Harmony restored the original coastlines (as mapped by the Bennet). During Rashek's reign, the oceans had boiled off. Book of Nails (tentative title) should provide some insight to things that lie off the coast in the Scadrian ocean arcehpelagos. WoBs: Hope that helps
  16. Welcome to the Shard. Thank you for posting your completed reads - it should help avoid spoilers should you have questions Please consider checking out the Sharder FAQ for some useful forum info and tips.
  17. Less than ten years, according to WaT - Postlude: Ishar set up the Demense to be shorter than Roshar time, to minimize the damage Heralds are already suffering from too many memories.
  18. Why? Because those that have seen The Evil (or know much about it) are dead - those that live in the Forests of Hell fled and survived, but don't realy know anything besides verbal stories and myth. At least that is the case while Silence ran her Waystop where the reference was sourced.
  19. Threnody Deepest Ones - Myth from the Forests of Hell (slight spoilers - planned to be in the "Night Brigade" Threnody Novel) Roshar Makay-im (Deepest Ones) First introduced in RoW Ch 31 No known links between the two, so far. WoB: Hope that helps
  20. Have you considered checking the character and settings pages in coppermind? Notable quotes are usually quoted there, with their reference. For Example: Steris talking about Wax You could also search up reactions threads, where people post about favorite moments or questions as they read - for example: SoS Reactions I'll see if I can scan for some reminders of stand-out quotes, though.
  21. What kind of quotes? What do you consider "'good?" And is chapter number acceptable (no page number in epub)?
  22. Thank you for the introductory post, please consider checking out the Sharder FAQ for some useful forum info and tips. I have a post in the Q&A - Cosmere Reading Order. I think there is no best reading order, but fans should have enough information to make their own informed decisions. To that end, I tried to point out which Cosmere works reference others, and if those references may spoil another work. Excerpt from linked thread: Hope that helps
  23. I think you are discounting the way Roial died - Shai is not a resealer and she could just as easily have meant "if you screw up the stamp, the healing fails and the patient dies." Just as Raoden's attempt failed to save Roial. We have no indication she meant a healing could heal "wrong."
  24. Because it is not changing the soul at all, it is using the soul as a template to change the body (heal) - like every other form of Invested healing. Of note: sealing works with connection instead of the soul as well (in addition to the Dor-based Lifeless Skeletals)
