Yellow looks gray on an e-ink screen. On a color screen, you get to bask in wonderful yellow. Whee! Also, on some platforms, the text has a fuzzy glow around it. Brandon wants the text to be blurred and almost illegible, but there's only so much we can do.

Nope, all Brandon's idea. But I thought it was an odd one.- 36 replies

[Words of Radiance Tour] Chicago Signing, Mar 22
PeterAhlstrom replied to Argent's topic in Events and Signings
By the way, the Chicago signing looks like it's going to be problematic as far as getting everyone's books signed. If anyone of you can go to Milwaukee instead, do it. -
This may help you with the projection. But not very much. This won't help you with the actual point of this thread.

There's nothing to decipher here. In the original Diagram these two texts were interleaved. They've alreadybeen separated out so we can read them. If you're wondering if Brandon will put more codes or otherwise hidden things in future books, the likelihood of that is very high.

During the Steelhunt there used to be a code required just to view things. In the hunt currently on Brandon's site, no code is required to see what other people have unlocked.

Here's a funny. During early drafts of the second book Brandon hadn't revealed Aesudan's name, so I was trying to figure out if there was a reason to hold it back, and the only thing I could think of was that Elhokar had somehow married Laral.

[Shardhunt Unlockable] The Alloy of Law Annotations (Ch. 2-10)

The next unlock is a bit complicated so I don't know how quickly Isaac will get it uploaded. -
The Rosharan year is 1.10 Earth years. The Rosharan hour is a little bit shorter.

Well, this is true. Once people do figure this out, it won't really lead to anything else. It's just something cool and fairly isolated. And the specific knowledge is not cosmere-related.

I'll just say that there's no reason to suspect the majority of you would have any chance of figuring this out. Just looking at the map is not going to reveal anything to you, unless you have specific knowledge you are not likely to have. Some of you may have this knowledge, but I can't predict who among you might have it. Even if you do have this knowledge, you may not realize it's applicable. It's also possible you may someday make the connection while looking at something entirely different that you never expected to be related.

We hit the end of the first arc of Sword Art Online last night, and it was a real shocker (though I knew something was going on with that dude). Karen said, "There's no way I'll be able to sleep if we don't watch the next episode." So we did. The new antagonist was unnecessarily creepy and obviously evil, I feel. It would have made for better drama if he was a nice guy.

No.

Veil's curved lines give a pretty good approximation. I haven't compared it to the real thing, but it gives the general idea. North may not be correct on the Alethkar map. Back then I didn't have the projections all figured out.

A comma there seems best but I don't know if that will change. Dark blue and purple are about the same depending on the lighting. Discrete is correct. In context it means outside of civil service.

I do really love the early episodes of Bleach. I liked the whole series except for the filler (non-manga) episodes (which we ended up skipping, and I recommend that, plus one of the non-filler arcs—the arc right before episode 168 is totally skippable) and the fact that the recaps at the beginning of each episode got entirely too long and also skippable. Um. This doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement, but the series is worth at least starting. I've mentioned it before, but Tiger & Bunny is great and I think it would appeal to you. Log Horizon is the same genre as SAO, but not as bleak as some SAO episodes. I like it. Silver Spoon is by the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist, but a completely different genre. Still, it shows her excellent storytelling skill. I can't automatically say it would appeal to you. We love Chihayafuru but it's also a totally different genre; I would recommend it if you had watched and liked Hikaru no Go. I definitely would love to find a show as appealing as FMA:B. We don't have a shounen action show we're watching right now other than HxH, unless SAO and Log Horizon count (I guess they do count).

Yeah, a bookstore will replace a defective book like this. And because some people wonder about it, defective books are not worth more than non-defective books.
