I like this theory a lot. It's almost like instead of trapping spren, ancient fabrial were created in tandem with it's own spren. See that's what spren really are, the cognitive representation of something that exists in the physical world. It's almost as if while creating the physical fabrial, the intent of what it was to accomplish or what it was to do was so strong that it's spren imprinted with that intent and became a willing part of the process. The modern process then becomes a real travesty and a perversion of the original way that spren relationships were supposed to work.

It's pretty obvious the individual members aren't subject to the will of the collective. Otherwise the one who answered wouldn't have said Hoid's letter may have been better received by another member.

I think this all comes down to being able to wrap your head around the Intent of Autonomy as a shard. I find the multiple personas quite fitting for one specific reason. You aren't autonomous as an individual. Autonomy can only exist if there are others to be autonomous from. This is taken to the extreme in the case of Autonomy in that it is so autonomous it has become autonomous from itself. Hence why Hoid's plea may have borne fruit if it had reached a different piece of Autonomy. They are all autonomous and have their own opinions and make their own decisions. It seems counter-intuitive, but it really isn't when you think about it.

Unfortunately, not accurate at all. Shin don't have unnaturally large eyes, they simply do not have the epicanthic fold like Alethi and many other races on Roshar thus the Alethi think Shin eyes are unnaturally round. Well I think there's room in the theory for Aluminum and Dragonsteel to be related somehow without being exactly the same substance. If nothing else than many of the things we think are Aluminum are actually made of Dragonsteel.

We should make a poll to answer that question.

Well, he does say that he intends to rewrite Dragonsteel once the Cosmere is ready. The fact that he's still calling it that and not "what was formerly known as Dragonsteel" indicates to me the name and thus the substance is still in existence.

Most of it isn't canon anymore, but I'm leaning towards at least the bit about Dragonsteel itself and the magic system still being in the running.

The only problem I see with this is that Odium itself is a piece of the original Adonalsium. If there were some sort of special connection that Dalinar made to some Spirit form of Adonalsium just by partially ascending to Honor, why would that not be the case for Rayse who has been a vessel for a shard since the original shattering?
