  1. Who confirmed Loki for Avengers 4? And even if they did, we can't trust anyone. Remember when James Gunn sent Rooker to the set of Infinity War to hide Yondus death? Also, I don't think Hawkeye dies in this, maybe in 4. I bet Drax stays alive through both movies too. Nebula, Cap and Heimdall are likely to go though.
  2. Who else wants to bet on Loki dying in the beginning of the movie? Also, @Captains Domon, I doubt he can watch all those in four days.
  3. @The One Who Connects I think everything goes. That is my basic rule in these kinds of threads. I agree with you on Thrawn too. He is great.
  4. To answer my own question: -Stormlight: Amaram, Mraize and Nale. -MCU: Loki, who is a fantastic character, with great development. Vulture, who had a tragic story. Killmonger, who was a villain because of the things done to him. -Faithful and the Fallen: Braith, who is funny, and seems like an ok guy deep down. -GoT: Tywin. He is so cold. -Star Wars: Kylo Ren, who is another beautifully complex and tragic figure, basically created by the mistakes made by Luke, Leia and Han.
  5. I would actually consider Sadeas to be very competent at interacting with people in general. He can be charming when he wants to, we know that. Most of the time he doesn't feel the need, but he is able to easily make Dalinar (and the reader) like him and trust him in WoK. The man has charisma. When it comes to his men being filthy and unpolished, that is mostly because he doesn't see the need for them to be clean and polished. And Odium taking over his men had little to do with Sadeas leadership. It is more the fact that they, and their highprinces (both Sadeas and Amaram) got antagonized by everyone. That opened them up to Odium. Had Dalinar been more forgiving towards Amaram (and had Amaram kept his soldiers from picking fights), the betrayal at Thaylen City might not have happened.
  6. I had/have a theory (in my sig) that everyone can be a Voidbringer. Considering that that kind of happened with Amaram and his soldiers, I'll count that as something I got right. Otherwise, nothing.
  7. I love picking out favorites, so lets do it with villains? Who are your all-time favorite(s)?
  8. So... should I just give them a random weakness? Like being allergic to toilets? If KvotheGanoes gets within five metres of a toilet, he dies. Instantly. Did I do it right?
  9. Kaladin. He can make everyone obey him, trust him, admire him, and love him. He loves his men, is more determined than a highstorm, and is also able to grant Surges to his men. Dalinar is a good leader, but has a hard time making people obey him in the same way. People do not like him the way they like Kaladin. Jasnah is great at telling people what to do, but she lacks the social interaction part. Kaladin, Dalinar, Adolin, Amaram, Sadeas are all more competent than she is when it comes to interacting with people, which is an important skill to have when you lead.
  10. I disagree. Dalinar is a changed man. He regrets all he has done, and he is now prepared to do everything for human lives. He gives up a Shardblade to save the lives of people who no one cares about. He is ready to die for Roshar. I think his story perfectly shows that he is a new man, and that he shouldn't be hated for his old sins. @Leyrann Technically, Aladar is better than the other highprinces. But I get your point.
  11. Ah, a WoB fight? Well, I guess my WoB is supported by Talns super-reflexes as well as the fact that it isn't paraphrased :-D
  12. I doubt she had. Yelig-nar would have eaten him far before she got her chance (also, she would have to assassinate him. Amaram would obviously destroy her in a 1vs1 fight).
  13. Interesting... I suck at Realmatic theory, but since they are captured and stuck inside a physical object, I would say yes. At least until Calderis/Extesian/RShara/someone else gets here and tells me I'm wrong.
  14. Amaram fought for Odium after breaking under his guilt and shame. I doubt he ran around and told people of it. Ialai was most likely unaware. Amaram isn't dumb. He probably realizes that she can't be trusted, just as Mraize did. @Leyrann Point. I was mostly explaining why I don't think it should be a major on-screen arc for Kaladin. When it comes to him not appearing in a few parts, I'm all game for that. Kaladin worked better in Oathbringer than in WoR, and that was because he got less page time, and didn't take over the story. So I am okay with him working with Sadeas soldiers as an off-screen arc.
  15. As an aside, Adolins drawing on that page is hilarious.
  16. I can see the appeal with this, but I don't think it would develop Kaladin as a character much, and I also feel that we have seen him leading groups of people already, and making them better. We saw it with Bridge 4, and again with the parsh in OB. I had forgotten this. I wonder what the dynamic in Odiums army will look like with Listeners, Voidbringers, evil spren, normal humans, the Diagramists, Skybreakers and a law-obsessed Herald in there. Hope we get a lot of Moash and Venli POVs in book 4.
  17. We'll just call it SoSxl, because it will defenitely be bigger.
  18. Torol Sadeas was one of the biggest cremlings on Roshar, and he is probably one of the most hated characters in the community. His soldiers are often depicted as bad too: filthy, untidy, and so on. One of them beats up a prostitute in WoK. Then Sadeas dies, and is succeeded by his manipulative wife, as well as by Amaram, another hot contender for the title of "most despised person in Stormlight". Under Amaram and Ialai, the Sadeas house are troublemakers who eventually sideswitches to Odium. Amaram is one of the major obstacles in the Thaylen battle, and almost kills Kaladin before dying. Afterwards, Ialai leaves Urithiru. What I'm thinking is: will House Sadeas always be villains? Will they always be symbols of the bad Alethi, the anti-Kholins? Right now, they feel like the Slytherins of Stormlight? Is anyone else bothered by this?
  19. Thing is, there is a lot of things humans never get happy about, but which nevertheless might be good for them. I can see a lot of good things with being more strict when it comes to sexual relations, and I can also see problems with it. There are two sides to a coin :-)
  20. Can someone explain what tool means in this context? Toaster confused...
  21. I remember someone theorizing that it was Tien.
  22. Welcome! I hope that you will grow more fond of SA as time goes on. I just want to adress some things here real quick: -The Realms: Just want to second @Khyrindor here, they are important for so much more than just Stormlight. And without them, Brandon couldn't have magic systems as complex as he has, because the entirety of those are built on the Realms. -Dalinar: I have seen those complaints about him before, and I just can't bring myself to agree with them. I think that redemption and forgiveness should be, and is, possible at all times. Otherwise, there wouldn't be a reason to grow and change and be better. If Dalinar is beyond redemption, he has no reason to be good. -Shallan & Jasnah: I just found it funny that you find Shallans disrespect toward Jasnah irritating. I feel the opposite. I think Jasnah can be disrespectful towards people, and easily gets away with it, both in the story, and in the fandom. So while Shallan should learn from Jasnah, and treat her with respect, Jasnah should try to treat others, such as Shallan or Kaladin a little better than she does.
  23. I really don't get what you mean here. Do you find the events forced? Can you explain a little more clearly, maybe?
