  1. Where do you guys think Wax ranks as a shot compared to great marksmen from other stories, such as Legolas, Hawkeye, Green Arrow or Birgitte Silverbow?
  2. Kelsier. He is simply awesome. He is a skilled fighter, he is funny, he trusts others. He tries to help the skaa, and he has a consuming hate of nobles. He is psychopathic. He could have been a villain. At least two villains in Mistborn has the same goal as him. Quellion even bases his rules on Kelsier. That is the great thing with Kelsier: he appeared a hero, but his message, and his actions, were sometimes incredibly wrong. But he is charming, so everyone likes him. Also, he is hope. And finally: As for a fight, Atium could win it for Kelsier. Otherwise, he would most likely lose. But still, Kelsier is one of the greatest characters ever, so... in my book, he wins.
  3. Szeth is a better character than Wax, who is pretty basic.
  4. Adolin. I like Mr. T, but Adolin is better.
  5. I donr think Adolin gets cut. He is rather important to a few storylines (Shallans dating life, the duels, what he does at the end of WoR). I think he is too important of a supporting character to cut.
  6. Marsh. The most badchull character in the Cosmere.
  7. As far as I know, some things (Kili + Tauriel + Legolas) was created purely by Jackson and co, some, like the Dol Guldur stuff, was from Tolkiens notes. However, I dont think that was supposed to be in the original Hobbit book, since that is a childrens tale, with very different tone compared to the movies.
  8. I also think that Way of Kings is extremely hard to pull of as a movie, without cutting it in half (they could cut where the Gollancz editions are broken). And if they keep on cutting every movie in two, they will have twenty movies to make. Stormlight would be better off as a tv-series. And also, wonder how the cast will look? Alethi are not exactly european. Mistborn will probably be great though! Hope they put more focus on that.
  9. Elend. His moral issues in was one of the most interesting things in Mistborn. And he is funny, and identifiable. How he reads at the party and ignores the girls :-D And from what I have seen, many others identify with him as well. Kaladin is nice as well. He has some great moments, and is an interesting character. However, he is overused, and, in my book, just not as likeable as Elend. So, #voteelend2016
  10. Kelsier is the best Brandon character. He steamrolls Nohadon in every cathegory.
  11. Shallan. A much better character. And she has self-healing.
  12. I hope Sazed does not pick up another shard. The only instance in which I would like him to become even more powerful, is if he becomes some kind of new Adonalsium at the end of the whole Cosmere story.
  13. Im going for Dalinar. But it is close.
  14. Adolin! One of Brandons best character. I love how he hides his insecurity, and how afraid he is of relationships. He is also cool. Jasnah is good, but she is not up there with Adolin.
  15. Taravangian. One of the best Sanderson villain. Really interesting to read about, and really interested in his story.
  16. I thought the Rosharan years was not that much longer compared to earth. Wouldn't Dalinar be around 55 or so in our year count?
  17. Breeze. I am very fond of Vin, but I like Breeze more. He is funnier, and funny is rather important to me. Vin would steamroll him in a fight, but I vote Breeze anyway. Oh, and I will upvote any Breeze votes. Not that its gonna help him though.
  18. Marsh. One of the most badchull characters in the Cosmere. Plus, he'd destroy Vasher in a fight.
  19. Elend. A character many readers can identify with (including me). One of Mistborns most interesting characters as well.
  20. Wayne. He is hillarious, and I like his backstory. Kaladin is good as well, but I never love the protagonist and he is getting too much spotlight for my taste.
  21. Nohadon. The arguments stated in this thread won me over. And I have not read White Sand, in any version.
  22. We know that we have at least two dead Highprinces, at the end of WoR. Question is, do we think more of them kicks the bucket off-page? Everyone did not leave for Urithiru. And how bad a situation will replacing several highprinces be?
  23. While I dont find Stick annoying, I do feel that the obsession goes overboard sometimes, so, upvote for that. I think genre may depend much about what you prefer as a person. I love epic fantasy, and as such, I am happy when Brandon does that, although I would be happy to read sci-fi as well.
  24. Kelsier. My favorite Brandon character. I love Kelsiers fightibg abilities, smile, humor and charm. I love that he could have been the villain. I love his "I am hope" scene. While, on the other hand, I never was fond of Megan. She seemed to much this "hardcore girl" with too little about her that made me like her.
  25. He will probably have a new, spren-made one. Maybe even in the next book?
