  1. *Does the Curse of Kind have any connection to the Nightwatcher? *How long is the lifespan of a chull? (I know, silly question)
  2. Guess I can jump back in. Hurt Rithmatics, heal Surgebinding! 2. Feruchemy- 20 7. Surgebinding- 3915. Rithmatics- 26
  3. I find it odd that a Bondsmith would bond something of Odium. Wouldn't that corrupt him/her? So yes, Stormfather might be of Honor and Cusicesh and/or Nightwatcher could be of Cultivation. But I have a hard time seeing any KR bonding spren being of Odium. Unless Odium tricks the Radiant into bonding the spren, and then influences the Radiant through it. Also, if one has to be of Odium, why Cusicesh? Why not Nightwatcher? I know everyone connects her with Cultivation, but if the three shards each have a powerful spren, then what's sayin she cant be with Odium?
  4. Eragon could probably wipe the whole Stormlight Archives with his magic. He can one-shot people with the death words.
  5. This rattle from chapter 8 of WoK: "Victory! We stand atop thr mount! We scatter them before us! Their homes become our dens, their lands are now our farms! And they shall burn, as we once did, in a place that is hollow and forlorn." It sounds like it is from the POV of a Herald, with the "burn as we once did" thing. So maybe this is from the end of the series, when the good guys defeat the Voidbringers. Humanity take over Braize (their homes become our dens, their lands are now our farms). The Voidbringers are sent to burn in "a place that is hollow and forlorn." Since the Heralds (probably) burned on Braize, which was hollow and forlorn to them, maybe the Voidbringers will be tortured on Roshar? Maybe Roshar will be turned into something Braize-ish while Braize becomes more habitable. This would make it so that humanity would need to settle on Braize.
  6. I am reading through Kaladins horse session (which is fun) and that chapter features Jenet, the stablemaster. I think she got rather much description and personality for such a minor character, so Im wondering if she will have more appearances?
  7. I do hope it is a new character. Or Axies. I can always do with more Axies. But since he has had an interlude, that´s unlikely. EDIT: Or a chull. We will get 200 pages chull lore, about chull food, chull behavior, what the chulls think about life, the universe and everything, and such.
  8. I agree about that the POV may be in Urithiru, and if it is, it will most likely be Ialai, and she will get about as much time as Sadeas got in WoR. I cant really see any other characters who cannot be covered by Shallan/Dalinar/Adolin/Navani. Possibly Mraize or Iyatil, since they are so secretive, but I think that depends on how much they know, and how much Brandon wants to reveal. In that case, I´d rather take Mraize. Amaram might be there as well, and then he is a candidate. I still dont think we should rule out the non-Urithiru cast. Jasnah and Wit will most likely show up, and a Jasnah POV is entirely possible. This is why I am suspecting Moash as well: he is with important people who does not have a POV (except for Mr T interlude), and has been built up for something. A POV from him would be logical. I think that since many of the main characters are established, Brandon can afford to spread things out a little. Other authors, like GRRM has done it, and it works. A non-Urithiru POV should not be ruled out, and if it is, I bet it is either Jasnah, Moash or a new character. And about Szeth and Eshonai: we know Szeth will be off in Shinovar, but we dont know anything about Eshonai, or her whereabouts. She fell into a chasm, and can reasonably pop up at Urithiru. Then it is one character less hanging out outside of the main bunch. Plus, if Eshonai will be a major player, I guess she will have to befriend Dalinar and team sooner or later.
  9. I'd love Amaram to have a bunch of chapters, since I really like him. I also recall a WoB stating that Rock would have a POV section in a future book. Maybe he is the POV? Although I cant really see how he would contribute, since he is in the same place as Dalinar, Navani, Shallan and Adolin, who all have POVs. I think this character is someone who is not in Urithiru.
  10. I would be happy with something from Danlan, but as with Adro, Mrall and Graves, I believe she is too minor. I can buy the redemption overload (although Eshonai does not need to redeem herself, IMO, since she was basically corrupted, which wasn't really her fault). Szeth will probably have one, though. So maybe Moash stays with the Diagram? Either way, he is an important established character, so his POV would make sense. The voice can actually be a reason for Brandon to want to do him. Moash can work as a parallell to Kaladin. They both have suffered losses, both have a hatres for lighteyes, but they develop differently. Every individual is unique, and Brandon may want to show that by taking two similar characters and develop them differently. Moash has potential to turn into a tragic character, I think. Another woman would be great though. I cant think of any besides Jasnah that would fit the bill though. Or maybe Brandon really meant what he said, and we get a character who we never have had any kind of POV from, like Rock, Elhokar, Aesudan or someone.
  11. I think we will get Moash redeeming himself sooner or later. And if Brandon wants a Diagram POV, Moash and Taravangian are the only possible choices. Graves, Mrall and Adro are all established, but very minor. While I like Graves, I dont think he will get a POV. Not a full chapter anyway. And we dont even know if Danlan is Diagramist. We dont know wether Graves used the group without telling them of the Diagram. Moash apparently did not know. Mr. T is said to have an interlude, I believe, so that makes me think that a longer Diagram section will have Moash. We left him in a sorry state, and I think Brandon may want to show at least a bit of how he develops, and what is reasons are. Then, this unknown POV might not even have anything to do with the Diagram. My hopes are it is someone entirely new (or Axies). But I would not have anything against Moash. Rather him than Jasnah.
  12. I think Moash could be the character who gets viewpoints. He has been rather prominent in Kaladins story so far, and he obviously has a further purpose in the story. Plus, it would let us learn more of the Diagram.
  13. Verell Mistlight. A guy who always walks around in the mists with a very small candle, eating sausages.
  14. I also have a little theory about Axies traveling to the Radiants in order to investigate the spren around them. Maybe he arrives at Urithiru. Hearthstone folk seems a given. I think Adolin will have less POV time. In WoR, he took much of Dalinars space, which aint happening this time. He will probably affect Dalinars plotline a LOT but I think he will have fewer POVs.
  15. Did Dalinar really wear plate during that scene? Don't think he did.
  16. That would be bad for his rep.
  17. Yes, a cool theory. I have a hard time seeing how Braize could be Yolen though. A number of problems: 1. Frost never left the planet. If it shattered, as someone proposed, then I wonder why he stayed. Seems safer to "ABANDON SHIP!" 2. If Frost stayed, Braize/Yolen is still inhabited by Odium. How easy would it be for Frost to hang around on Yolen when Odium is there? Again, abandon ship would be logical. Of course, Odium might be blocking travel to or from Braize. But still, would Frost even be allowed to leave?
  18. I agree. But Sadeas does not feel remorse AT ALL. At least Amaram does. He wishes that he did not need to do what he is doing in order to complete his goal. Sadeas never does. That should count for something.
  19. Yeah, Frost could be a shard who stayed on Yolen. We know shards can write (Sazeds letter too Spook). That could also be why Hoid asks him for help with Rayse; Frost has the powers to defeat him. But if Frost is a shard on Yolen, Yolen cant be Braize. I cannot inagine Odium letting another shard stay on Braize. Unless Frost is terribly efficient at hiding.
  20. To jump into the discussion, one reason to why Amaram is better than Saddy is that he actually shows regret for the things he is doing. He speaks of the terrible costs in his letter and he speaks of them to Sadeas. Sadeas himself never feels bad. And yes, Sadeas might be honest with himself. So? He knows how bad he is, and yet he continues, and states "Im honest" as if that would redeem him. He never shows regret, despite everything he does. Amaram at least has regret, and wishes that he didn't need to do what he is doing. He knows his actions are bad, and he gives more care about it than Sadeas ever has. Both of them have big faults, but in the end, Amaram is good enough to care. Sadeas is honest, but it's just an empty excuse.
  21. Rather self-explainatory. Is there any character(s) which you believe will have a larger or smaller role in Oathbringer? Who? Why? For my part, I guess that Mraize and Iyatil will be a bigger part of next book, because of Shallans involvement with the Ghostbloods.
  22. Awesome drawings! Loved the Mraize from a while back!
  23. English is not my native language (its Swedish) so I didn't know the meaning of Autonomy. :-) Thanks!
