This is very true, but I thought they stayed at the more famous stuff, like Star Wars or Marvel. Easier to be heard that way.

Brandons books are big enough to upset feminists and have covers for political reasons? Huh. I did not know that.
-
So your theory is that their CR manifestation a very spread out body? It sounds plausible, but I'm still not sure. It would be nice to find out how a Sleepless cremling looks in the CR...

We dont know all the effects of the Shattering though. What if Yolen was moved when Adonalsium was destroyed? Or one of the Shards moved it somewhere? @Calderis has a good point avout Connection too. Again, the best I can come up with is that the Shattering had wierd side-effects that changed the vessels connections, but that is extremely farfetched. A shard hiding on Yolen would be pretty cool though.
-
Wouldn't every single cremling have a CR manifestation though? They should exist as ideas or something? Or am I wrong?
-
It might be hiding on a obscure shardworld far away from everyone though. Or it is on Yolen. Khriss at least cant find the place, so maybe Odium cant either.

I started thinking about the possibility of Aimian KRs. If we assume that Aimians are like the Listeners, it would probably be possible for them to become KRs. So, interesting thought experimemt: if a Dysian Aimian became a KR, would all its cremlings gain Surgebinding powers, or would it just be the main body?

This one is pretty classic: "Never make a threat that you are not ready to go through with." Then we have this one as well: "Dont put a fork in a toaster."

I doubt Bavadin is the Survival shard though. She seems to be quite active, and is eventually attacking Scadrial. She also has her whole hijacking religions thing going on. If she just wanted to hide, I imagine she would try to make others forget her, and not involve herself in everything that happens around the Cosmere.

New idea about the shard that's not on a planet...
Toaster Retribution replied to Catfish's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I doubt that. At least not if the Yolish god-corpse has been a corpse for a while. The soul goes to the SR, and it´s ties to the PR is severed, right? I guess the spiritweb should go with the soul. But maybe the DNA is there... I´m thinking that the Yolsih god-corpses might make good Kandra-food. -
Whoops. The metallic arts are not my strong suit, but since we think that it is possible for feruchemy to enhance allomancy (we do think that it is possible, right?) I am going to guess that Brandon will delve into that in Era 3.

Or the zinc/brass guy is allied with Harmony, and is controlling Marsh for him. Harmony has problems interfering directly, and so he needs humans to help him (Wax for example). If that is the case, Harmony would not take Marsh back from the guy controlling him, and go along with it instead. In the end, that could result in Marsh being mind-controlled into spiking himself. What I´m suggesting is basically that Kelsier appears as a threat, Harmony needs Marsh to fight him, but Marsh is too weak. So Harmony allies with a twinborn who can compound brass/zinc to control Marsh, make him spike himself, and then fight Kelsier. And yes, I know that this plotline is extremely unlikely.

New idea about the shard that's not on a planet...

I recalled Ruin and Preservation being visible to Sazed on the ground on Scadrial when they clash in HoA, but I checked the book real quick, and I was apparently wrong. Saze sees nothing until the corpses comes falling. -
I don't think Marsh wants it either, but shouldn't Harmony/other Shard be able to make him do it? I guess mind-controlling Marsh would go against Harmonys Intent though, but maybe, if the situation is desperate enough. Random question: could someone compound zinc or brass in order to mind-control Marsh and make him spike himself?

New idea about the shard that's not on a planet...
Toaster Retribution replied to Catfish's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I just wanted clarification so that I understood the consequences correctly. And when I think about it, the stuff they invest in basically has to be considered as "PR things they need to hide" since anything invested prevents them from leaving the planet they are on, and also works as a big sign saying: I AM A SHARD AND I AM HERE So yeah, I consider their investment as PR things they need to remove. Do you remember/know if I am correct in that the Shards have som sort of physical manifestation beyond the things they invest in? -
Thanks for the correction. What I wanted to get at is that Marsh is pretty powerful, especially with Atium, something that Kelsier does not have, as far as we know. And if things start to go real south, they could always add some more spikes (I doubt they will go that route though).

If I remember correctly Ruin and Preservation (when Vin is the vessel) are visible from the ground on Scadrial when they clash in HoA. Ruin and Preservation (when Leras is the vessel) both use avatars in the PR as well. I dont get your investment comment though. Do you mean that they would withdraw every bit of their power from a planet? In that case, wouldn't it lead to A) Magic systems stop working B ) They can leave the planet/system. -
The Scadrians have Marsh, who is an Inquisitor, and basically has the same powerset as a Fullborn (plus Atium). They also have kandra, and maybe some interesting things that Harmony can come up with (if he is still around).

Shouldn't a Shard be able to exist only in SR and CR though? Since worldhoppers can use perpendicularities to move between realms, Shards should be able to as well. And if a shard moves its PR parts to the CR, I suppose it could hide there. -
Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Toaster Retribution replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
You did not make a wish, so you will get two boons instead (yes, I'm evil). The first one is that your left thumb will itch as long as you live. The second is that whenever you scratch it, Odium will come for you. I wish for a weapon I can kill the Nightwatcher with. -
Top 10 theories going into Oathbringer

It would be cool if the Dawnshards were very important, but forever lost, which means that the characters will have to find ways to do without them (and eventually succeeding). -
I´m thinking either setting fire to myself, or accidentally hitting the priest in the head with the crucifix.
-
I love Kelsier too (he is my favorite character ever) but I think that if he becomes a villain, he will become a good guy again in some way. Kelsiers arc seems to be about becoming a better, more selfless person. If he goes bad, it will be a step on the way in that arc, which will end in a good way.
-
I dont know if this has been suggested before, and I doubt it will come true, but I will just throw it out there: Mistborn Era 3 will contain the hunt for a Mistborn serial killer. What if that killer is Kelsier? We know that Kelsier is somewhat of a psychopath, we know that he will be featured in Era 3, we can assume that he has an agenda, and that his actions wont necessarily be good ones. Kelsier always had the potential to become an antagonist/villain. What if he has become one, in Era 3?

This whole Larkin deal reminds of Pokemon: Rysn caught a Larkin! The Larkin gains 32 lvls. Rysns Larkin is evolving into a Lanceryn! Rysn will catch them all! EDIT: Wonder what her pot of grass will evolve into?
