  1. Yeah... I wont do that.
  2. I can see everything that will happen on these forums... for example (at the time of writing this) I foresee that Toaster Retribution is about to post in this very thread!
  3. Nope. Mraize is so cool a name that I hope we never do. It would be lame to learn that Mraize is in reality named Bob or something like that...
  4. And a boon. Brandon = Nightwatcher confirmed. I'd rather we skip that this time around. It would be nice if Kaladin himself got rescued for a change of pace.
  5. Maybe Mraize proposed to marry her, to get the Princedom. Now that would be a twist.
  6. True. But then again, they didn't really send their best guys at it. Mraize or Iyatil would have produced better results, I imagine. And you are right about Shallan being dangerous. I doubt she could kill Mraize in a one on one fight though. He is too experienced, with the Almighty knows what up his sleeves. Shallan hardly has Stormlight right now, and Adolin is without his plate and needs ten heartbeats to summon his blade. As it stands at this meeting, I'd say Mraize and Team Sadeas has the upper hand in an eventual fight.
  7. I might be biased for Mraize, but I wonder if he really is that easy to kill. He is a Worldhopper, and doesn't seem to be scared in the least of Shallan when she points Pattern at him in WoR.
  8. Hmm... those are good points. I'm not convinced though. The exactness of the murders... why do you have to confuse me? I'll stay in the Unmade/monster camp for now, but Ialai/Mraize works better than I first thought. Edit: How is Ialai supposed to know Adolin killed Sadeas though?
  9. That is a nice crackpot. Wouldn't Gavilar have referred to Thaidakar as Ialai in that case though?
  10. In that case, keeping on killing people in the same way Sadeas died would have been preferable.
  11. True, and I understand the motive for the first murder, on Vedekar Perel. It is the second one, on the barmaid, which I can't understand. Adolin doesn't know about it, it has nothing to do with him or Sadeas directly, and is unnecessary detailed and complex for Ialais goal. Something else must be behind this.
  12. That is the best trailer I have seen this year (that ending ). This is my second most hyped release of this year now, after Oathbringer. Looks epic. Kylo Ren is the best character the Star Wars movies has, so I am beyond excited to see his arc. And this makes me excited for Luke too, which I have never been before. Phasma vs Finn looks epic as well (fingers crossed Phasma survives).
  13. Why am I out of upvotes?
  14. Well, you are right about the fact that we don't know the Ghostbloods motive at all... and if anyone could do that kind of stuff, it would most likely be Mraize. I still see an Unmade/another wierd monster as more likely though.
  15. I agree. Ialai will be a problem. She could potentially be used as a weapon by Mraize, and then die when she has fulfilled her purpose though. I also like that the Sadeases, two pretty despicable characters, have the redeeming quality of really loving eachother.
  16. Why would they copy-cat murder a random guy though? And can they really do it in that precise manner? Mraize is good, but not that good.
  17. I have wondered before if Sadeas was a member of a Secret Society, since Gavilar suspected him of sending Szeth. The other people on Gavilars list were Thaidakar and Restares, a Ghostblood and a Son of Honor. Having Mraize there could support that idea. That said I really like @Michael Portz idea about Mraize simply being her head spy, and I find it most likely that Ialai isn't a Ghostblood, but that Mraize is using her. If this is true, it would really show how dangerous Mraize is. Ialai is supposed to be great at politics, and if Mraize can play her, he can play basically anyone else among the political characters we have seen so far, except maybe Jasnah (and Wit, but no one can play Wit).
  18. Okay, so what is the deal here? Has Mraize managed to manipulate Ialai? Is he using her in some way? Or is she using him? Is Ialai a Ghostblood? What is happening?
  19. Okay, some more in-depth thoughts: *You kind of have to like old Dalinar. He was horrible, yes, but he was a gem as well. Going for a stroll in a Highstorm and casually killing an assassin in seconds... the guy is a badass without even trying. *I seem to be the only one on the 17th Shard who finds Kaladins story arc the least interesting. Not that it is bad or anything, but I just find that all the interesting things, with Evi, Ghostbloods, murders and other nations happens at other places. That said, the moral dilemma in Kaladins situation is interesting. *I feel like Shallan and Adolin fit each other. *I am not overly fond of Sebarial. He feels like the Gallywix of Stormlight, if anyone knows World of Warcraft lore. *Mraize. One of my favorite Brandon characters, whose appearance I have waited for for quite some time. Nice to finally see the guy. Having him with Ialai strengthens my old theory about Sadeas and secret societies (its in my signature, if anyone is interested).
  20. MRAIZE, I MISSED YOU!!!!
  21. Moash is Part 2, I'd guess, which means tertiary character 3. Szeth I would place as TC4 which would mean Part 4&5 for him. Adolin is a wild card, but I feel that TC2 is most likely. He is big enough of a character to have presence in the climax. For the part 2 novella, my guess would be Lift. I think she will be shown finding her way to Urithiru.
  22. This is interesting. I don´t agree with everything though: *I don´t know what you mean by Jasnahs return, but she will most likely not go to Urithiru early in the book (Oathbringer spoiler): *I don´t see Nale being a POV. He will most likely hang out with Szeth, and get page-time when we have Szeth POVs. *At least one part will probably feature a Moash POV to some extent (I think it is part 2).
  23. Welcome! Good to hear that you enjoy this place. Keep on nerding with the rest of us, and have an upvote!
  24. If you are getting into Stormlight I would recommend reading Warbreaker before Words of Radiance (Stormlight 2). It is not necessary, but you will enjoy WoR even more if you do it that way. Secret History can be read before Bands of Mourning. One thing that is revealed in BoM is revealed in SH too, and so you´ll miss out on one of the twists of that book. Reading SH directly after Hero of Ages should work as well though. It depends on how you are as a person. If you want every to be surprised at every twist, then wit with SH. If not, then you can read it before BoM. Elantris is also pretty good, but I would advice you to read that one last. Not because it spoils anything (it doesn´t) but more because the other things Brandon has written are either more relevant to the Cosmere lore, or more relevant to Stormlight, which is the main buzz right now thanks to Oathbringer. Hope you enjoy the next book, no matter what you pick!
  25. @Wreith Thanks! Concerning Adolins horse (Sureblood), nope, there was no spren as far as I remember. But then again, it was a very shocking and confusing moment for our POV in that scene (Adolin) and lightning, armies and spooky songs aren't really the kind of environment when you stop to notice spren, so it wouldn't be unlikely that Adolin just missed it.
