  1. I doubt Suit will become a Cognitive Shadow. Most likely, they just killed him because he was taken captive. He would have been more useful in the PR anyway. Suits skill-set was basically organization, financing, running errands and pissing Wax off. I doubt he would be of much use in the CR.
  2. I'm with @The One Who Connects when he talks about the phrasing of the Oathpact-WoB, with discovered being the problem for this theory. But otherwise, I can buy this. Just gotta say though, I love the idea of Taln being able to take thusands of years of brutal torture like a boss.
  3. Hello, fellow Swede! Sci-Fi Bokhandeln in Gothenburg will have it the 14th. I asked them to set a copy aside for me.
  4. Uh... no idea. Feels like it should be something connected to the Alethi, since it is the Alethi Codes of War.
  5. Anyone who can point me to a source for the spren-bonded fish? @Extesian maybe?
  6. Uh, yes, of course I have spikes. Doesn't every toaster have spikes?
  7. It has? Well, then I'll blame it on the fact that I am a toaster, and thus lack eyes.
  8. New theory: the Joker in the chapter heading is Brandon Sanderson.
  9. I am Cosmere Mat Cauthon!
  10. There is a place called Icewater south-east of Aimia. Have we had that on a map before? I am intrigued by the fact that Urithiru is relatively close to the Valley (Nightwatcher) the Purelake (Plague, Ishikk and 17th Shard), Yeddaw (Lift) and Sesemalex Dar (Tezim).
  11. It is a good point, but I don't think it stops Eshonai from becoming a Willshaper. Shallan isn't exactly the most honest person around, and Dalinar is not a shining example in either one of his two divine attributes.
  12. Yes they are, but their cultures can still inspire eachother. Thaylens are traders, and travel all over Roshar. We have seen them in both Shinovar and Kharbranth, as well as on the Shattered Plains. They are most likely selling stuff in Iri as well. We also have the fact that the Irali seeks knowledge. They might have borrowed the Tidereader from the Thaylens. It wouldn't be far-fetched to assume that Thaylens have similar things to a Tidereader either. They have a big fleet and live on an island, so the sea should be important.
  13. Maybe a little. I would prefer Richard Dormer or Aaron Eckhart personally.
  14. @Chaos Are we allowed to post OB spoilers in spoiler tags?
  15. It might be inspired by the Thaylen Passions. They are also wierd, seen as pagan superstition by the Vorin Church.
  16. Hah, same here! That is the fun of these kinds of things, seeing different perspectives and discussing.
  17. I'm still having a hard time seeing it, most likely because I imagine Mraize very differently physically. I have Molina as Mr Suit in Mistborn personally, but who knows, he might make a good Mraize :-)
  18. Anyone who thinks Pedro Pascal could do Mraize?
  19. @Ammanas I thought you were one of those who would wait until you had the whole book to read.
  20. Yeah, I had. Thanks for the tip!
  21. Sounds like something Brandon actually might answer, if it is phrased that way. The "have we seen X before" are usually so broad that he answers them just to give us something to discuss while we wait for our minds to be blown by his next book.
