  1. Rashek definitely had children after his Ascension. There's a WoB that there are some of his descendants among the population but Brandon said it's not important.
  2. It's 3:20 am and I'm getting up at 7 and why am I doing it to myself? Again? For the past two hours or more I've been telling myself "time to sleep...oh I'll just check that website. And that. And check Brandon's reddit. And check this...".
  3. So I was just browsing reddit... https://www.reddit.com/r/Mistborn/comments/43lw2i/anyone_else_notice_brandons_selfinsert_in_bom_no/
  4. In Soviet Roshar, it's the Stick that tries to convince you to be fire.
  5. So, let's think up some possible curses Nightwatcher might give. We're operating under assumption that the curser are indeed neurological. We already had a man who saw the world upside down and a man who lost sensation in his arms. Some I invented: doing things manually. THE LIST Your curse is: to breathe manually to blink manually to swallow manually Any ideas for curses?
  6. I think... I think I found my people <3
  7. Largely immune. Not totally but due to ritual beatings most of them were Snapped and so mist-snappings were rare among nobles. The question is whether Terris were absolutely immune to mist sickness. I mean, mists actively added Investiture and gave a lot of stress on human body so that people who wouldn't have Snapped in normal conditions would Snap. Of course, due to skaa-noble interbreeding skaa had some Allomantic blood which could be traced back to lerasium... but Terris didn't so they couldn't be mistfallen. But all of people have seeds of Metallic Arts even without lerasium as evidenced by Alendi who was a Seeker and mistfallen around Alendi's time. I am not sure about mistfallen of that time... To put this question better: would Southeners be suspectible to mist sickness?
  8. Does your houses also have "stuff nobody wants to take care of"? And no, it's definitely not within my duties to take care of it. And I won't cause I'm tired of doing things like that - I just did the dishes since nobody else did that and I'm pretty sure that if I set the table and manage the dishwasher then the rest of the dishes isn't mine to do.
  9. Yes it is. Brandon told us so. Nightblood is an "attempt to recreate a Shardblade with other magic system" and "Nightblood is kind of evil, mis-made Shardblade... more mis-made than evil". It's "a kind of robot spren".
  10. Manipulating Connection is usually useful in obtaining other magics [WoB] but it's not enough to become an Elantrian [WoB].
  11. Is "Well, maybe I didn't do my homework but I've just seen that WoB and I think I am close to figuring out Scadrian FTL now" a legit excuse?
  12. @Silverblade5 it's because you can't apply de l'Hospital here. What is the limit of sin(x) as x approaches pi/2? What is the limit of cos(x) as x approaches pi/2? When can de l'Hospital rule be applied?
  13. @Yata, I found something about the Iron Feruchemy/Gravity Surge idea. I think it confirms the "extremely cheap Lashing" version.
  14. Nosebleed season! Pretending that I overused my psychic powers is getting old. Explanation: (cold = heating up the house = dry air) + my nose is always running 'cause allergy. Having a messed up nasal septum probably doesn't help. For the past week I've been sick and wiping my nose all the time so it probably strained blood vessels and I am bleeding the third time today :/ P.S. Coincidentally, I'm writing an article about Hemalurgy...
  15. That's right! It's a solution that manages itself unlike threatening the cow with stakes @Dankness Ascendant
  16. @mattig89ch, how about switching the audio and playing with subtitles (if that's an option)? I mean, I played through Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood with Italian audio and English subtitles and that was an excellent choice over English audio.
  17. @Mestiv, ah, Cloud Atlas. I've seen it recently and I can't stop listening to neither the Atlas March nor Cloud Atlas Sextet.
  18. Ad 2 - I think that the expression "rich in oxygen" means that the percentage of the oxygen in the air is higher. It would be a weird way to describe the situation if it's in fact higher pressure. Of course we do not know the exact atmospheric pressure but I guess it's similar to Earth's - Brandon describes Roshar as "high oxygen low gravity world" and has never mentioned anything about pressure being odd. I know lack of evidence is not evidence of the lack of existence but we have to consider that if there was something important about one of Roshar's characteristic Brandon would have mentioned it by now.
  19. I just realized that's exactly how Jasnah describes possible birth of spren - the personification of the anger of the man who's often angry. And that people would start to perceive that anger as something separate from him. Call Axies! We have identified selfdoubtspren!
  20. Your WoB says "not usually", mine say "it's theory not to be discarded" and straight up "no". I guess we could get another clarification but I'm pretty sure it's settled on "not inheritable". Do you mean that topic? I'm not sure since I've got that WoB in the first post.
  21. Hmm... I did some digging: The second one is from the Shadows Of Self signing so it's quite recently... *Scratches head*
  22. ... I don't quite understand your solution (a reference picture would be helpful) but I'm pretty sure that solution that includes threatening the cow is not the right one
  23. This does have nothing to do with the pool of genes. Hemalurgical adding of Investiture is not inherited. Medallions only add Investiture temporarily.
  24. Ooh, I see it: If you immediately store 100% it's unkeyed by default. I wonder what the effect of tapping somebody's else Identity would do.
