@Pagerunner, the thing is you can burn an unkeyed metalmind to Compound: But there is something going on with medallions - you can't use two of them at the same time. We don't know why, though. But with Survivor's Spearhead they can make replicates of it, medallions granting 32 powers... unless Harmony's like "NO!" and kandra took it away.

Well, you can use Hemalurgy to steal that Feruchemist's Identity. Then that metalmind would be available to you and by burning it you would Compound.

When they were not cool...? If I ever get around to making mistcloak, I will make sure the hood is appropriately deep. Now, if only I wasn't all thumbs when it comes to things like sewing... -

Cool! I started wearing hoods up when I played through Assassin's Creed. Too bad most of the hoods on my hoodies are barely covering my head when I need something deeper :| -
Well, when Kelsier says that "Renoux" can't get near Inquisitor, Breeze instantly realizes implications. So I assume that's not something that Kelsier figured out on his own. It's more likely that if you know about kandra you also know they can be recognized by Inquisitors.

I really need to finally watch Rick & Morty, huh? But first I need to watch Ghost in the Shell and then I have like 50 episodes of Samurai Jack of catching up >.> -
What about Secret History? And the rest of Arcanum Unbounded things?

Noble children were ritually beaten in attempt to Snap. Elend was no exception; he didn't Snap then so what's the point in Straff orchestrating all of that?

Brandon Sanderson Humble Book Bundle
Oversleep replied to Argent's topic in General Brandon Discussion
@Argent, your link is wrong. Here's the real one. On another note, I pretty much want only MAGs but $15 is way too much for me (especially since I don't care about audiobooks and the only things I haven't read yet are Firstborn/Defending Asylum, Snapshot and Dreamer). I heard that Dreamer is really short and Snaphot was already spoiled to me so the only things I really want want are MAGs. $8 just so I could get Wrought of Copper...? Nah. -
Nazh told him the direction, so... But people on those satellites know and see they're moving respective to the planet. The problem I wanted to signal here is this: Imagine coordinate system. From point (0,0,0) you can move on three axis and in 6 directions total (forward, backward, left, right, up and down). How do you translate six directions into four of the Cognitive?
-
Because Hel (or Hela) invading Asgard and stuff is pretty much Ragnarok. I think.
-
More mindscrewing: Put up some satelittes around the planet. In different orbits, not only West - East but also North - South. Put people on them, Elsecallers or even Lightweavers. Now imagine Lightweaver doing the astral projection thing (they don't come into Cognitive Realm fully) into Shadesmar. If the world is stationary they should be moving pretty fast in the Cognitive. But also how would different orbits move? I mean, some may just go circles around the subastral but the orbits at angle to them shuld go through the Shadesmar's ground.
-
Yeah, I'm wondering about it as well. But there is something more mind-screwy: if somehow the planet is projected as being flat, it has to end somewhere in Cognitive Realm. If I stand at such end, Elsecall into Physical, take a step forward and Elsecall back into Cognitive, would I be standing at the opposite end (which - in Cognitive - would be pretty far away)? Simpler: in Physical it's a globe, in Cognitive it's a flat map of the globe. What if I stand at the edge of the map, Elsecall, walk forward and Elsecall back?

Until now I thought that butterbeer is some kind of beer

The GotG aesthetics are 1) those people with facial markings like Collector 2) ...ships? 3) music. I personally don't see much of connection save for the more lightheaded tone of the trailer. This is first Thor movie I'm hyped for.
-
Actually Cognitive Realm is flat. Everywhere. This is so mind-screwy I don't even know how to approach this.

@Darkness Ascendant that infities are cool @Silverblade5 alternatively you can keep your PC in the refrigerator -
Am I the only one who read it like villain backstory? Anyway, I swore to myself I'll never edit TVTropes. I use the wiki, I don't have time to contribute to it. I've got worlds to build. (To be honest, I only engage in editing the Polish wikipedia article on Brandon. I've got to hammer in that the Scadrial series is called Mistborn, not Final Empire. But that's like the only thing I ever do.)
-
Ah, now I understand. Well, invading someone's mind is definitely a big no-no. Hm... I think we need another category between Jedi Mind Trick and Mind Rape. Like... duraluminum Soothing is not Mind Rape but it's no Jedi Trick either.
-
Well, there's the other trope: Jedi Mind Trick.
-
It's not very clear, but it can be read that some trace metals may have an Allomantic effect. It's possible that the question-asker hadn't read MB Era 2, and wasn't aware of nicrosil or chromium. I will ask around but I doubt I will find the person who asked that. (BTW, the comment about copper is mine but I may have misheard)
-
Machine learning. The Mind Rape page does not have entry for Star Wars. Star Wars does not have an entry for Mind Rape. I'm usually seeing the Mind Rape trope when there are some really unpleasant things done to minds - when it really is equivalent of sexual assault. Like Marsh or Eshonai.

I draw cosmere things, and its becoming a problem.

I doubt it very much. Brandon has always talked about 16 base metals and everything reinforces this further (for example, Preservation himself talks about 16 as the number of metals). So, do you mind linking a source for that?
