  1. 'Nahn' is the name of the system of ranks for darkeyes, so maybe it means something like 'not part of society' or something along these lines?
  2. When you're sick and really should be sleeping, but the 17th Shard beckons...
  3. Goddamit, I thought I was losing my mind when it got my location right.
  4. Eh, it was fascinating. I like reading about stuff I don't know.
  5. I can't wait for the opening of the Oathgates. Partially because I want to see more of the world, partially because I really want to see everyone react to a certain Shardfork-bearer.
  6. I think that it's either a revenge killing, or an attempt to mess with the person who killed Sadeas. Now, if Adolin admits he was the killer, he will also be suspected of any other murders that happened in a similar way because they happened in the exact same way. Or maybe it's just an attempt to destabilize and cause chaos.
  7. I really want to see what's going on in Kholinar. There are riots, we know that, but I need all the details!
  8. Alright, so I'm assuming this is the thread? Just read the chapters thrice, back-to-back-to-back. I already need more. I wonder what's going to happen with Adolin. I feel that he's going to reveal he killed Sadeas, and bad things will happen. The other man was probably killed in revenge or to frame the person who killed Sadeas.
  9. Well, that was interesting. Who killed that man? Do you think it was a revenge killing? Why did Renarin freak out when Odium's champion was described? Any ideas, theorizers?
  10. I just can't wait for tomorrow. We will get some answers and many more questions.
  11. I love the book because the characters are so well-written. I can effortlessly imagine sitting next to Joel in math class as he aces a test he didn't study for. During the scene where he sits in on Fitch's class, I could feel the boredom of the other students. All of the teachers felt very real to me, I was reading the scenes and I was there, in class, wishing I was outside. I can emphasize with Melody very well - I go to a prep school admittance to which is exclusively merit-based, but whatever intelligence I possessed at the age of 12 has vanished and left me in unending extra-help sessions. Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve this kind of education, but I'm here so I might as well limp to the finish line. People often hear about me and think I'm super-smart and always study, but in reality my notebooks are filled with doodles. Also, the day-to-day life of the school also seems so real to me. Admin freaking out because the parents are freaking out, paperwork, students scurrying down the halls.
  12. When you can't wait for The Lost Metal to come out already.
  13. Well, there's two of us at least-but I mostly feel sorry for him. Once I thought I saw something in the mirror, and had a panic attack. I'm impressed that Elhokar hasn't smashed all the mirrors while in a panicky haze. In his position, I'd be contemplating suicide at the very least. I feel like there's an equal amount of foreshadowing for both options that have been brought up. It's interesting that we seem to be mostly convinced that one of two things will happen-either Elhokar will become an antagonist, or he'll improve and possibly even become a Radiant. Just watch him become a Radiant and an antagonist.
  14. I found the chapter extremely satisfying because of the reunion.
  15. One little thing I loved were the joyspren. For some reason, I've been waiting and waiting for them to appear at some point.
  16. Fun fact: 'Mara' means 'dream' in Belarusian.
  17. Please no, I won't be able to handle it.
  18. Do we know which orders can and can't have squires? I only know that Windrunners have them.
  19. That reunion was the most satisfying scene I've read in a while. So sad, but I've been waiting for this for years.
  20. Probably TLR, because he doesn't need to sleep and could harass someone 24/7 if he wanted to. Who would climb a tree faster, Hrathen or Breeze?
  21. When your friend reads WOK and loves it, and you practically scream with joy because now, you can talk about the Cosmere in real life!(I love you all, but face-to-face contact is better.) When you have dreams about the books. Last night, I had a dream where Hoid was trying to find all of the Heralds and was emailing Nazh.
  22. I think that parts of this book are before Edgedancer, but most of it is after.
