  1. The cookie is metallic in nature and is liable to give you magic powers. However, it must be pounded into your flesh to be effective.
  2. His goals may be partially determined by the following: Although it has been affirmed in Ars Arkenaums (pardon the spelling) that no Investiture is evil, Hoid believes that both Hemalurgy and Odium are evil. Take what you will from this.
  3. If you want to destroy some evil, try the Knightbloods. The only requirement is to pick out a name for your Invested blade and a command. Thoughtward has the command "Challenge theories". Do I? Yes, I spoke very clearly. Also, swords speak in italics.
  4. This is a PSA that most cookies offered on the 17th Shard are in fact Hemalurgic spikes in disguise. If you wish you may accept said cookie, but at your own risk.
  5. So... Stormgate has powerful teleportation. So I have been trying to figure out how to use that to neutralize other Epics. It's weird how so many of Stormgate's problems can be solved with large cement/steel bunkers about a mile or so underground. Think about it. Nighthound: stick him in a box underground and he's stuck. Metal: Maybe. Could he break out? Lucentia: It might take a while for her to get out. Lightward: Can't exactly get out of a locked room without his dinos. Basically, Stormgate can trap most members of the ATTD list. I'm still working on a way to trap teleporters. Does Bloody Mary have a range?
  6. I made a theory on this. I definitely think something is up with aluminum.
  7. Oh don't even get me started on what you might be able to do with modifiers. I want modifiers. Even if we have modifiers for only one Aon, we could make our own versions for other Aons. And then we could make Aon equations and have Spaghetti Aon competitions...
  8. Shards are vectors. Hear me out. A vector is defined as being something with direction and magnitude. The Shards' magnitude needs hardly be discussed, and their direction is what we know as Intent.
  9. You get a very angry member of the 17th Shard and an upvote. Inserts lost wallet
  10. If someone is a Misting and especially Mistborn, they have a bit more natural Preservation in them than otherwise. Why couldn't this translate into longevity?
  11. Again with the necro.
  12. I would like to reference Dr. Who. The story is about a clever man who is older than he seems. He travels different worlds, is very hard to kill, doesn't like hurting people, and wherever he goes, he makes people better. He doesn't always go where he necessarily wants to, but he always goes where he needs to. He is very clever and the number of people who praise him versus those who curse him are about even. He also has a dark past, and (at one point) is/was chased by a group of people who also can travel to other worlds and they have a policy of non-intervention, which he flagrantly breaks. Also, we don't know his real name. The Doctor is Hoid. Perhaps an alternate dimension Hoid, but Hoid.
  13. The cookie is a Hemalurgic spike! Treat with caution!
  14. First of all, I like to warn new members about a group called the Dark Alley. They have a habit of offering Hemalurgic spikes disguised as cookies. You are free to accept them, but it will mean a spike stabbed through a part of your body. Secondly, Sanderson occasionally has AMA's on this site where we ask him questions and he answers. Since I joined in October, we have not had any, though. It's probably good that he doesn't spend a lot of time on here, so he has more time to devote to writing.
  15. I am hesitant about the part where Adonalsium Shattered inside Hoid because Hoid held it, but everything else is right on with what I was going to post anyway. I might still make another thread detailing my theory on the 'deflated balloon' analogy that Sanderson often makes when referring to Slivers.
  16. I'm impressed you put all this together. An Apple user myself, is there any possibility of getting it onto the Apple store? From asking around, I know that Apple is a lot harder on new developers than Google, but I figured I might as well ask.
  17. Apparantly, a Mistborn could burn a gold coin in their mouth. Might be harder than normal swallowing, but you could.
  18. Everyone wants Adolin to be an Edgedancer. Why not a Dustbringer? I get that his sword belonged to an Edgedancer, but...
  19. Well, Steris might be a Ferring and not know about it, it is still a relatively unknown ability, what with the Terris people bordering on xenophobic. Remember though, we don't know much about Steris' mother. Maybe she was a Ferring?
  20. Here's a joke: A Duralumin Misting was useful this one time...
  21. Your arguing is pointless, as opposed to your weapons. Your theory that by attacking the other person, you will sway them to your side is groundless. Instead of making the other person sympathetic to your cause, you will only serve to drive the two of you apart. Maybe a nice Vinelend bookie could calm you down?
  22. I'm available. Carola, I think our blades need to get a room.
  23. Oathbringer is probably an in-world book (Way of Kings and Words of Radiance). What is in the book, though?
  24. Maybe we get Renarin as a Cognitive Shadow? Actually, if we have POV's from him after he's dead, we might learn more about the afterlife in the Cosmere.
  25. ...do you know what the cookies are? They are usually Hemalurgic.
