  1. Sorry for the downvote, it's a Shadows for Silence reference.
  2. This has nothing to do with Identity, Aluminum's Feruchemical attribute. Instead, what would happen if a Twinborn with A-aluminum and, say, F-iron were to store weight inside a metalmind, then draw it back at the same time as burning aluminum? Would he get heavier? Would the metalmind be completely drained?

    Spook lives

We know Spook went into retirement. We know he discovered Cadmium and he had duralumin. He could very easily be alive and well in a speed bubble somewhere.
  4. People keep saying that it does, but why would it? Just because they're called Nicrobursts doesn't mean the metal bursts like the target.
  5. I have a very similar theory. Basically that the 16 Shards can be mapped by the 16 Allomantic metals. There are various ideas on how this works, but I like this one. Devotion could be zinc because it increases emotions (like maybe love) and increases your mind powers, perhaps allowing you to, say, remember all the modifiers you need for a certain complex Aon like a nicroburst. Man, I'm really burning the midnight bendalloy on these figures of speech.
  6. From what I can tell, that's not a problem.
  7. Ettmetal might have been discovered by Trell/ his minions.
  8. Does nobody see the possibility of Lurcher waterskiing?
  9. The cookie is a Hemalurgic spike! Treat with caution!
  10. The cookie is magical and will give you powers if it is stabbed into your flesh. Apparently it is also tasty, but I am not sure how that works.
  11. As a wannabe programmer, I would love to participate in this. Unfortunately I have neither the time, money, nor resources to devote to such a project. I wish you the best of luck.
  12. There's always another secret...
  13. With enough Investiture, you might be able to change a planet's focus. As with the theorizing about a planet's bind point, I'm going with either the North/South poles, or the core of the planet.
  14. I personally want the Survival Shard to be Endurance. Nothing to base it on.
  15. How does the fansite exist with few Cosmere-aware members?
  16. On Sanderson's website there is a part where you can contact Brandon. That is where you can request White Sand, Aether of Night, and his newsletter. I have all three.
  17. I think he held Adonalsium, if only for a brief time. He didn't become a Sliver because that's what happens when you take a Shard's power. He became something more.
  18. Sanderson once came up for a major piece of worldbuilding while driving a car on a foggy day.
  19. In Sanderson's books, having magic powers generally indicates or causes a high place in society. You have the Elantrians ruling Arelon, the nobles in Mistborn are supposed to be the only ones with powers, the Returned in Hallendren are treated as gods, etc. We know from Kaladin that, progressed far enough, light eyes appear. It is not unreasonable to assume that at some point this becomes permanent. Since the Knights Radiant were superheroes in every sense of the word I can think of (Reckoners doesn't count) it makes sense that they would naturally get power. If nothing else, those with Shardblades usually beat those that don't.
  20. Hoid tried to get admitted to Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat put him in his own house. He then went on to win the House Cup
  21. Welcome to the Shard! As you have not had the opportunity to read Mistborn, I will not spoil it by explaining cookies too well. Basically, the cookies are metal spikes that are driven into your flesh to give you magic powers.
  22. I need information now. Is there a Sanderson AMA on Twitter on Thursday How do I ask questions?
  23. Sanderson once wrote a series where the end of the book could be guessed by epigraphs. He got away with it.
  24. Blushweaver: I'm going with Gryffindor. All she was really trying to do was help solve a problem.
  25. The cookies are Hemalurgic.
